Hitman Absolution hit $5 six months after it released. Maybe I could play one of my other 2000+ games while I wait for the eventual price drop.
You have to honor the glitch gods!

Ancient Glitch God Haiku:

O gods o' the glitch!

Grace us with your divine gifts,

I need that plus one!

One of the reasons I bit on this deal is Hitman is episodic and Square Enix may take longer to heavily discount it because of that. They aren't going to bundle the full game anytime soon, that's for sure. They'll bundle episode 1 and try to get you to buy the rest.

It's an interesting approach to what Square Enix is doing for Hitman. Basically releasing the game over a year plus as an episodic type of game. They're probably doing this to save them from themselves and their known discounting track record.

Yup, also what spoder said.

Yeah, me too. If it was regular game, it would've been easily skipped.

I bet first episode will be heavily discounted tho.

anyone else have xcom2 preloaded?
Just got my CDcheese keys...so it will be tonight
Same.

frresync is open standard, but why would nvidia support it? gsynch is proprietary and they get that licensing fee in every monitor it is in.
It's open source but they still likely require a licensing fee from monitor manufacturers. If only one option on the market supports it then it's not a standard, it is still proprietary and not a standardized technology.

Get one of the following and get a free copy of The Durpvision from here:

  • Logitech® G910 Orion Spark RGB Mechanical Keyboard
  • Logitech® G810 Orion Spectrum RGB Mechanical Keyboard

Hurrr Durrrrr
Wonder how these keys will be disbursed. Maybe I'll wind up with The Division for letting BBY hold some money for a few days.

Well it would be pretty boring otherwise.
XCOM 2 where we win is just the Sims.

Or maybe an actual good version of Spore where we play as a ship of space explorers giving the middle finger to the prime directive and meddling in all sorts of whacking, world changing biology experiments.

Well.  I didn't realize that Fractured Space was free forever if you tried it out over the weekend.  Why even do a sale price at the same time?

Anyone know how much Mass Effect 3 - Deluxe is from Mexican Origin?  ..it's $15 on the us site.

Thanks in advance!

Not like a game deal, but Office Depot has 3 packs of their air dusters for $8.99 if you match their online price.  Stacked a 20% off coupon they emailed me for $7ish for the three pack.

Spending few more bucks you can get a 6 pack at Microcenter.

The Office Depot deal is great if you don't live near a Microcenter.
Didn't know that, so if I had a MC close I would make it my go to place. The nearest one is like 45-1 hour in traffic. Office Depot is 15 minutes away across from my UPS box. With the coupon though it's a similar price because the Office Depot cans are 10oz and those are 7oz.

Missed the Hitman glitch while switching payment method, but was iffy to begin with since I haven't even started Absolution.
If I was paying attention during the glitch I would have bought it but don't feel bad that I missed it. I'm pretty bad about returning to episodic content -- still never finished the last three chapters of the last Resident Evil game despite enjoying the first two. I'm better off waiting until I can play it all at once.

Brodate:

We played Snow tonight, which is a F2P skiing game, unless you are Parallacks, then you paid $10 to fund the Russia mafia for the founder's pack which consisted of an Abe Lincoln ski suit.  There was definitely something calming about skiing in the wilderness and there were exciting moments of dodging trees and rocks so you didn't end up Sonny Bono.  I never really got the jumping and grinding mechanics down so I wasn't really scoring much points and the server had no events.  It had some challenges, but I didn't try them.  Not an awful game, but it's far removed from something like the SSX series which just feels a ton more fun and intuitive IMO.

Also, finally made it to San Francisco in ATS and like an idiot I used the Steam screenshot feature instead of the in game button to take my screenshots tonight and I fucked them all up.  Had a really sweet one of me driving into the sunset.  Oh well.  So far I found a decent radio station and discovered that because they speak French in Montreal, their music is also in French.  Who would have thought?

Next week we have more events and I think some scheduled this weekend (Payday 2?) but I can't remember them all off top.

See to me this was like Dirt Rally where there's some stuff there that makes you go "Wow this could be really great if it was polished and full featured" and then it's disappointing because it's not.

I can see that, but at least Dirt Rally had a set end game. This just felt like wandering on a mountain side.

So it's a sale on Tom Clancy's The Derpvision? The game that nobody will shut up about thanks to YMCA69 even though everyone else says the beta sucks, and there are over 20 Tom Clancy games about the same damn thing?
Ha, I'm just happy that he's taking the blame...

Actually, this is pretty different for a Tom Clancy game and other people have had positive impressions about it. For everyone saying it sucks, it's probably one of the upcoming AAA games that most people seem to be talking about. Don't H8.
Its rather polarizing for a game, mechanically speaking. Its set in the real world, with human adversaries (and therefore human physiology), and these adversaries take multiple rounds to drop, have numbers flying off of them as they take damage, and the game has Tom Clancy's name attached to it. Whose stuff, while fantastical in ways is grounded in reality. (I'm mean look no father than a 747 purposely being flown in into a major US building in one of his books from the early to mid 90s. Unimaginable... till it happened.) Really that's about as polar opposites as you can get and still have stuff mess well enough to work.

I honestly could see myself on the other side, the side that truly dislikes the game or couldn't wrap my head around it, but I understand what the mechanics are there for so I don't have issues with it.

WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME I COULD PLAY XCOM 2 NOW?!
I still cannot decide rather or not to pull the trigger... I didn't play the reboot (even though I own it) but it sounds like XCOM2 is different enough in execution that its not a complete overlap leaving the first one to be very playable.

I just wish I knew here this urge to fakebro games was coming from... (XCOM 2, FC: Primal, SFV, and the Division are all catching my eye. Oh, guess I should included Overwatch to that list too.)

Screw it, I got two Batman games I need to play (plus 900 others), I can wait... right?

It is and I'm surprised how much so. Gameplay's mostly the same but the overall campaign is more AAA.

I only got it because it was $32 and I knew I wouldn't be able to wait. Play XCOM EU/EW while you wait for it to drop.

Damn, MS...  Why do you make stuff so difficult?

I got my new XBone wireless controller working on my PC (Win 8.1) but it wasn't an easy or fun process.  (If one didn't know they would work on Win 7/8.1 you would never known.)  Hopefully I missed a step and made it more difficult on myself but I suspected I didn't.

Damn, Steam...  Why do you make stuff so stupidly or fail to fix stuff?

As I just said I got a new wireless controller...  The only way to turn off the controller is to hold the Xbox button down for three seconds but doing this, of course, fires Steam up into Big Screen Mode and, of course, there is currently no way to disable Big Screen Mode in Steam.

Apparently this has been a known issue for a couple of years now.

Edit: After playing around with it some more I figured out if I put the controller in pairing mode (button between the top shoulder buttons) it loses connection to the wireless adapter and then I can hold the guide button for 3 seconds and get the controller turned off without trigger Big Screen Mode.

Its just an inelegant solution.

god damn xcom! my first mission after the tutorial and i already lost 2 people. the first one i admittedly rushed too far ahead without scouting first and got easily flanked. the second one i just secured the objective when some bad guys shot at me and missed. but they hit something that was explosive because next turn whatever it is explodes before i have a chance to get away.

fuck this game!

i love this game...

Low and Slow baby. Low and Slow. :) Time to get my X-Com on... wahoo! (I'm excited.. I expected it to unlock at 1pm and waste half my day off)

Stay strong, man. I'm fighting the fakeybro plague too. Maybe we need a support group.
