PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

Sorry Zimm and friends. I got caught up playing Unravel and when I switched to PS4 I realized I have the Vita/PS3 versions downloaded but forgot to purchase the PS4 version. It's downloading now. I can play tomorrow/this weekend if you want.
PS3 with PS4 works great. Chat worked in-game. We handled level 3 planets with ease. Level 4 was tougher.

This weekend is pretty full for me except Sunday early afternoon or maybe late morning.

Ya, I haven't gone much above 4 so far, I appear to have gotten cheated out of some research points. I got to the end of a mission and I lost connection but it said don't worry, your XP and samples were saved. When I got back to my ship they had been saved, but that caused me to level up and I gained no RPs.

Man this 30 for 30 on the Chicago bears is bringing me down. Payton was my football hero when I was a kid, and the only jersey I ever wore or even owned in my life was #34.
I saw most of this last night as well and I have to say it was probably the worst 30 for 30. I have seen most of them and this one didn't really bring anything new to the table that I didn't know. And as much as I like Vince Vaughn in dumb movies, he was not a good fit as a narrator. It just sounded off. He sounded like he mailed it in or is just terrible at reading.

diablo 3 plat get.  I liked it!  I wish it had more mmo-like postgame content (giant monsters, unique quests, whatever) for when you just want to take a break from the grind, but I don't think that's in the spirit of diablo.  still super fun, I'm sure I could keep playing it.

Ni No Kuni question: Do you guys know if the times the AI steals with Swaine count towards the trophy? Or do you have to be controlling him yourself?

I think you have to do it like the trophy for the gleams (you have to actively collect them, the ones your teammates collect don't count). it's only 50 steals I think though, that doesn't seem so bad after 500 bounties.

We got probably 2-3 inches overnight...and everyone forgot how to drive. I counted at least 5 cars off the road this morning and what is normally the last 10 minutes of my drive to work took over 30 today because people decided to go 10 MPH.

Yeah according to the guide you have to do the steals yourself.
If you're talking about the pst.org guide, then no it doesn't clearly state that. I've also read in other places that AI steals do count, and in some places that they don't. Not that it matters much, mainly just asked out of curiosity.

It's too bad Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom isn't available to buy on PSN and used copies aren't that cheap ($15+, unless you can find a copy at Gamestop for $2.99), because I'm really enjoying it so far and wish those of you who haven't played it could try it. I'm about 6-7 hours in now, roughly around the halfway point, and I'm eager to see how the story ends. There have also been some pretty good puzzles involving the Majin's lightning power, and despite the combat system more-or-less being the same as when I started, I'm not bored of it yet.

For those of you who are fans of Zelda/adventure games, I recommend Majin.

This right here is why women are worse than men. Yes, it happens in mens rooms too. However, if you do have to sit you can find a piss free toilet in there unless you are at a convention of small dick dudes too freaked out to use a urinal like they should when pissing.

Women should never ever piss on the toilet unless they do the squatting nonsense. Seriously, is it going to hurt you for the back of your thighs to touch the fucking toilet seat?
Yep, I cursed myself with this post. This morning there was absolutely no traffic for some reason. I am usually still on the street I live off of by the time I had gotten to my kids school this morning so I took him to the nearby Dunkin Donuts. They have a one holer type setup in the bathrooms and somebody completely wrecked it. Let's just say there was more than piss all over the toilet. Toilet paper all over the ground. They either didn't flush or were unable to. Thankfully we were just in there to wash hands.

I informed the staff as I left that it was destroyed. I am sure none of them get paid enough to have to deal with that disaster.

Okay, Ghosts on Veteran may be easier than other CoD because its mostly linear pathways where they cant surround you and they don't throw grenades like in other games but its still way to frustrating to be fun for me.  I hate sitting, peaking around corners for minutes on end trying to find the one asshole I cant see that will kill me as soon as I stand up or even peak out too far.  Its just not fun so not sure I can finish it.

I usually get bored and try to rush and boom dead in half a second.

Will keep trying this morning but I can see myself rage quitting.  Games are supposed to be fun.  Not frustrating/boring.

Yeah I don't like the idea of playing a (an?) fps as a damn cover shooter. Sounds shitty. That's what third-person shooters with good cover mechanics are for.

One thing I loved about the last two Wolfenstein games was how you could use L1 to remain stationary and lean around corners or cover to shoot. I wish more FPSs did that.

Let's see what you think about being bored of the battle system at the end of the post game grind.

I enjoyed the game myself until that part.

The first map with the big corridor with all the wrecked cars that you have to progress through was one of the hardest parts of the game IIRC. If that's where you're having trouble it'll get easier once you get past it.

That one and then the one I just played when trying to get to Ajax in the stadium were pissing me off. Got through them and a lot of other parts are easy but too many more parts like that and I will get pissed off and rage quit. I am almost half way through though so I hope not.

Yeah, I know I have that to look forward to, but I only really dislike grinding when it involves luck/RNG random-drop stuff, like for Dragon Quest Heroes' dumb Puff-Puff trophy. Since Majin's post-game grind will be more like leveling in an RPG, I might not mind it as much.

...Hopefully.

munky and anyone else: want to get AC: Unity co-op sync kills tomorrow evening?
I'm waiting to hear back from a friend about if we're hanging out tonight or tomorrow night, but if I'm around I'll do it. I have to reinstall the damn game though. 50gb was way too much space for something I wasn't actively playing.

I don't know how you guys do this stuff. I am not gonna lie, I started to get bored of Diablo while playing the story with the guys. I think thats partly why I got killed before I got to level 70. I was just trying to rush through so I could be done with it.

My attention span has just gotten worse and worse. I thought that was supposed to get better with age.

Diablo grind is pretty severe...one of the reasons I never bothered with it after the story.

I was gonna say taking breaks to play something different helps me with that, but I'm pretty sure you already do that so idk.

I have a little bit of that loot hunter/leveling gene so my eyes get wide every time an orange or green drops (or when new skills are unlocked). That helped. But I mostly watched xfiles while running the last 300 bounties. I think it took about 5 hours and worth it to me since I really enjoyed the game and wanted that shiny shiny plat.

But more and more I'm on your side, it's harder for things to keep my interest than it used to be. We'll see how sf5 fares.

Once I wrap up Fallout 4 next week, definitely gonna be looking for something other than an open world game since I am really burnt out on them. Might even dig into the old PS3 backlog for a change...

It feels like Ni No Kuni is rekindling my love of jrpgs. Dammit. It'd be nice if there were some good ones in the 25 hour range as opposed to 40-plus.

This is so surprising to me, 400 people responding. A lot of folks don't like dealing with other folks online.

The Witness is ok. The island is colorful and awesome. The puzzles can be extremely clever at times, but I'm already feeling worn down by all the line puzzles and I'm not even half way through it.

yeah what the fuck?  how can that many want local co op?  even if you have friends you like to play with you can still play with them online and since you have party chat its like they are right there with you anyway.  you can still talk trash real time.  this makes no sense to me.

Now if the poll was just co op or no co op and a lot picked no co op, fine, but to want local over online....are there that many people with shitty internet still?

Closet ones are 52 and 65 miles away. Anything described as Zelda-like will peak (peek? pike? spike? polka?) my interest.

That reminds me I need to play that damn Okami HD soon.
pique.

And yes, you do. Okami is brilliant.

Grammar pet peeve of the day: People typing "peak" instead of "pique".

I wonder--assuming enough of us have it, would Okami HD be a good Backlog Beatdown candidate for March? That's another one I really need to play.
