PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

I think maybe the people in the poll were deciding which was better if you could do either at a given time. I.e. would you rather play with your friends online or play with them local? In that case I'd pick local too because it is more awesome to be in the same room together.

Closet ones are 52 and 65 miles away. Anything described as Zelda-like will peak (peek? pike? spike? polka?) my interest.

That reminds me I need to play that damn Okami HD soon.
Quoting this post again, but assuming you have a closer Gamestop, you can ask the manager if he/she could call one of the stores that carries Majin and have them ship it to the closer store.

This is so surprising to me, 400 people responding. A lot of folks don't like dealing with other folks online.
That first "lewronggeneration" comment is just awful.

https://twitter.com/cptbananas/status/695398096797237250

If you ever use the sentence "kids these days" you should just shoot yourself in the head on the spot.

Anyways, most the rest of the comments are pretty dumb too. Most the local supporters are saying "local because it's more fun to play with friends on the couch." Well no shit it's more fun, the real question is, is it feasible?

EDIT: Why is Twitter failing to embed again for me? This one definitely isn't protected.

EDIT2: I know why. It was Mild's fault.

I'll actually be driving by one of the towns with it and the lady will be in the other one this weekend, so I could probably grab it that way if I wanted to. Don't know if I need more disc PS3 games, but I'm definitely intrigued by it.

So for those of you that had the Helldivers plat, have the points on TT shot up the last few days?  I am surprised how much the points for Nom Nom have shot up and I bet that a lot more people likely started Helldivers.

Welp good thing I already played Okami because I'll still be on Ni No Kuni if I end up going after the plat. It's starting to suck me in now so we'll see.

But you guys will love Okami. Great game. Only 4 missable trophies to pay attention to make sure you can get the plat in one playthrough. I think my save file said 38 hours when I was done, IIRC.

I don't remember if I went for 100% when I played Okami on PS2, but I do remember my final save file saying 75-80 hours by the end.

Not as much as I'd hoped, but it has taken a jump. It's my 2nd highest game now and I haven't finished the dlc.

Okami is great, if not a touch too long. I didn't plat it though, I head the fishing minigame was obnoxious so I didn't bother with it.
It wasn't bad at all, I just made sure to catch each type of fish that was specific to each new area before I moved on to make sure I didn't have a shit-load of fishing to do at the end. It didn't take much extra time at all that way.

yeah what the fuck? how can that many want local co op? even if you have friends you like to play with you can still play with them online and since you have party chat its like they are right there with you anyway. you can still talk trash real time. this makes no sense to me.

Now if the poll was just co op or no co op and a lot picked no co op, fine, but to want local over online....are there that many people with shitty internet still?
Yeah online for sure. The only person I game with in person on occasion is my nephew but we only see him 4 or 5 times a year now.

Last night I booted into safe mode and rebuilt the database on the Vita, then let it sit over night in sleep mode. Right now it's at 100%. Of course this could be coincidence, but if you're still having battery problems it's worth a shot. We'll see if this sticks....

I've heard this from others as well. I'll probably go ahead and update mine later today and then rebuild proactively.

Because I missed where it was initially brought up. I didn't realize it was just this morning. For some reason I was thinking there were posts about it going back a few days.
But if you read from where you left off or last posted before you commented, you would know this shit and I wouldn't be here explaining reading to you and people wouldn't be getting annoyed at both of us for still talking about.

Seriously, Doom looks fantastic and I know there wont be any hide and peak around corners bull shit.  So stoked.  Now watch killing floor come out at the same damn time.

Doesn't look bad. The talking rat is an interesting detail. Combat seems a bit clunky.
At the beginning, you see only a talking rat, but animals in general talk to you (the protagonist is the only human who can understand them) and offer both advice and lore about the game.

Ok

Grammar pet peeve of the day: People typing "peak" instead of "pique".

I wonder--assuming enough of us have it, would Okami HD be a good Backlog Beatdown candidate for March? That's another one I really need to play.
ami for next month would work for me as well.

Yeah, I'm not fixing that. Stupid CAG.

Nom Nom has moved up to #3 on my list. I wont be surprised if it hits #2 by tomorrow since it has only got 2 more points to go before it passes UFC 2010. I guess it is not impossible for it to go higher than Red Dead since it just needs 135 points and the last couple of days looks like this.

ETA: I will be surprised if it stays that high long term though. It is not difficult, but I wonder if most will give up on it.

Had a problem with one of my lego dimensions fun packs this morning. Went through and built the little cart that comes with Gimli, but when I went to register the vehicle with the tag, the base wouldn't recognize it at all. Ended up having to download an NFC reader app to my phone, reading the tag there, and then trying again in lego dimensions. Kind of annoying, but didn't take all that long to fix. Just a heads up if anyone else buys a pack and the tags aren't reading properly.

Even the points for Nova-111 have gone up in the last few days. I wasn't expecting that one to get much attention out of the PS+ titles this month.

The Witness is ok. The island is colorful and awesome. The puzzles can be extremely clever at times, but I'm already feeling worn down by all the line puzzles and I'm not even half way through it.
Yeah, it's not a game you can marathon. Especially since you can spend a lot of time just being stumped. Walking around to find other puzzles to figure out help a little, but I've been finding it best to just take a day or two break from it and looking at things fresh.

Is this game any good? Don't remember seeing much talk of it here.
It's decent fun if you like exploring. Not overly complicated. Enemies can get annoying, and I can see how later levels could fuck you with attacks. Some of the trophies are mega rare on PSNP, but I don't really get why besides the beat the game taking no damage.

I was kinda pissed this morning when one of the trophies didn't lock for me when I thought it should. Sage or tyler, do you remember what you did to get the infighting trophy? I've had a bird-thing ram into another bird-thing to kill it and the infighting notification appeared on screen, but no trophy. Done it at least 4 or 5 times now.

What exactly was going on with it? I've never had a problem with any of my stuff before.

It's fun. Nothing amazing, I didn't get very far though since I got the dog maybe a day or two after I started it. Seemed like a better fit for vita for pick up and play, but oddly it doesn't have a cross-save feature so you're kinda stuck on whichever platform you start it on. It's worth a try if you like turn based strategy games. It adds a couple real-time elements to switch up the formula which makes it more interesting.

It just wouldn't read the nfc chip at all. I tried cleaning it off, flipping it around, moving other figures onto the main portal, and then trying again. Nothing would work. Not sure why the lego base wasn't reading it at first, but once I got my phone to read it, it's like it got unstuck for the lego portal to read it properly. Really odd.

You might try calling your local gamestop to see if they would have it shipped from that far away store to your store. I was able to do that when there was a copy of Knight's Contracts 100 miles away.

Maybe you need two different enemy types? Try killing a bird thing, with one of the ram guys? Maybe I'm misremembering, but I don't think it popped up the first couple times for me either.

And I'm not sure why the trophies are rare on PSNP either. Unless a lot of other people also just got distracted by puppies and other games.

Bungie is doing something about lag in Destiny. By punishing people that are on laggy connections???

http://www.engadget.com/2016/02/05/bungie-destiny-damage-referee/
I haven't played PvP in over a year but it seems more fair to me then punishing those with decent Internet connections. The game is an online FPS. If you have a shitty connection you will have a shitty experience. Seems stupid to penalize everyone else. And yes I understand not everyone can have a super fast, low latency connection. But online competitive FPS shooters have always (or almost I guess) favored those with good connections. I remember playing Quake CTF on my ISDN and mopping the floor with people on dialup. Against cable modem users it was fairly evenly matched though. I couldn't get a cable modem till a bit later then many other players.

Wish you could browse servers like back in the day on Game Spy. I usually pick servers closer to me (NYC mostly) since they had lower latency then those hundreds or thousands of miles away.
