I don't even like MGS but I think this is still probably the pinnacle of limited edition PS4 system so far:

Clean and not overly obnoxious in it's game branding but still very MGS.
Yes yes yes that gun metal controller

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2016/02/04/doom-coming-to-ps4-on-may-13th/

Doom is out on 5/13, aka Friday the 13th. They're also doing a Collector's Edition with a 12" Revenant statue that rotates and a steelbook case.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2016/02/04/ninja-senki-dx-launches-february-23rd-on-ps4-ps-vita/

Ninja Senki DX is coming to PS4/Vita on 2/23 with Cross Buy support. This is from the team that made Wizorb, Mercenary Kings, and Curses N Chaos along with the original Ninja Senki when they first started.

I need some advice here...

I have the 20% off coupon that came with my PS4 and I'm not sure what the best thing to use it on would be... It expires at the end of the month so I need to make some decisions. Im interested in bloodborne, far cry primal, and maybe minecraft ps4 for my kids.

Is there anything I should be aware of or anything I should definetly look to use it on? I know it stacks with ps+ sales, is there anything else I can stack it with?

Do you know if they improved the flight controls at all? Some of those races drove me nuts, and I still haven't finished the platinum because of them.
It's the same as Dimension's version. So you have a more control of altitude, but everything else is the same.

Edit: Oh, and there's better markers in term of arrows, but it's not perfect.

It basically is applied to whatever price is on the games. I cleaned up during the holidays with mine.

If you're into that sort of thing you can get Star Wars Battlefront for only 24 bucks with it.

It also can be applied to a cart of items and not just one title

enemies can attack you infinitely on your turn thus why I said its semi real time. If it truly was turn based then this wouldn't be an issue. Of course your units can attack enemies on their turns but since enemies are able to go through the menus faster you rarely do.
That is the oddest reading of the mechanics of Valkyria Chronicles I've ever read. Yes, while moving enemies can fire at you. That doesn't make it 'semi-real time', it's just like overwatch in xcom and other games. Calling it 'semi-realtime' is quite misleading.

Finally another Kickstarter for Sekai is done...yay....I just hope that March 2016 PC release date is true. They likely have a pretty complete version already and will finish/clean it up. Fine with me. I'm still waiting for Kickstarters I deeply regret like Delver's Drop (I think this may be out this year!) and Cryamore....yeah I don't know when this will be out but since Atlus is publishing they likely need to get something out sometime, and soul saga....eh.

Preorder Far Cry Primal for your kids. It's an educational game about the animal kingdom.

Amazon finally fixed the issues with the Valkyria Chronicles Remastered pre-order, so now it's listed as a video game and gets you the 20% discount for Prime members. They just cancelled prior pre-orders and pushed it back out to your carts, so you should only have to check out and get the correct pricing you should've gotten before:

Is this an Amazon Exclusive similar to Gravity Rush Remaster or will it be available at other retailers?
Looking to pick it up at Best Buy if its not a retailer exclusive and it hasn't shown up on the Best Buy site yet.

Oh god, there were some driving segments such as the one on the Carrier I couldn't do due to the controls

It's available at GameStop now, but they haven't said anything about other retailers. The official site only has Amazon, GameStop, and PSN listed as intended retailers at the moment.

Man why is BestBuy getting screwed over so much on these pre-orders. I don't want to pay Amazon Prime price just get a decent price at Amazon....

If you have a PS4, don't bother with the vita version. PS4 looks better, has a better translation, and is cheaper. Literally no reason to go vita. Also vita version is not going to get an improved english patch otherwise they would have done it by now. Vita users get shafted once again.

Dungeon travelers, I would only recommend if you like 1st person dungeon crawlers and/or fanservice. If you like neither of those things, then skip it.
It's my understanding Vita did, in fact, get the translation patch. It wasn't mentioned in the patch notes, but multiple people have reported booting up the game and checking it, and it's updated translation now.

Nope. There was a patch that came out when the PS4 version came out but it only added the save upload feature for crossplay. Translation wasn't touched.

This game is awesome. Def buy it if you are into games like Fable
I hate being a bother, does anyone know if the DLC for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is still bugged and won't work with the digital version.

Reading this accepted answer of needing the disc version of the game on PS3 to get the bugged DLC working after EA acquired the developer then shuttler them makes me weary of buying the DLC.

I too will wait to purchase anything Amalur related until an answer is provided. I just purchased a $20 PSN card at the grocery store since I had planned to buy Short Peace and Dark Souls 2 for PS3 at $5 each, and although Amalur and its DLCs seem to be a good deal, it's not if the DLCs don't work properly.

Wow, that's beyond weird. I was just planning on getting the two story dlc's anyway so I should be good.

38 Studios wasn't bought by EA and shut down, they were an independent publisher of their own that ran out of money and laid everybody off.

From reading the link, it's the item packs that are bugged and the actual mission packs are fine. The developers no longer being around likely means that it'll never get fixed.

thank you amazon, they didnt delete my preorder, they just added the savings on top of everything else ($5 book credit promo) so now my total shows $14.49. or at least i hope they dont cancel it now.

Well that's depressing, but only for the digital version right?

Do these problems exist on the 360 versions?

Once again, are the DLC even really worth it?
No clue why but this game has always amazed me, but never sat down to enjoy it properly.

The gameplay and movement flow is just so well done in this game. I have yet to find a game that entertained me so much and made me feel my character actually had cool and unique powers...why did this studio had to go belly up :whistle2:(

Oh simple, embezzlement and fraud.

http://www.gamespot.com/articles/amalur-dev-files-for-bankruptcy-fbi-investigating/1100-6381395/

As I said, I liked the game but... I don't know if I was under leveled, not assigning skills correctly, or just not geared.
I was working through the main story, barely touching side missions unless they interested me.. and by the time I got to the Ogre boss.. I was being rocked left and right by most enemy encounters, followed by the next room where you're ambushed... there was now way for me to win.

I was told later that while it scales, you must play it like an MMO and do everything.

Yeah I was mistaken, I'd forgotten the drama around this game. Times they are a-changing, colleges with professional gamer scholarships, ESPN broadcasting esports and the generation of gamers who grew up with the nes still gaming in their 30s-40s.

But the state investing in a game studio still sounds crazy to this day, maybe because we're seeing games being such a "risk".

Understandably with EA being the publisher, the probably don't have any rights to the source code or the ability to issue a patch. I'm going to take a risk on the DLC storyline packs, but ea should really pull the weapons packs that have known issues. When I launched the digital game and attempted to access the DLC the game hard crashed back to the xbmc. I tried a second time and it launched to the classic store page to purchase. I miss that store interface.

I usually lose myself in these types or games and do all the side missions and what not before getting to the main story or advancing in too much. I think you were under leveled, cause I remember taking down that boss and the mobs just fine. Heck at some point you can do some crazy moves that make you way too OP compared to the rest of the guys, like I as a mage you throw lightning, followed by fire followed by a huge boulder of ice... pure awesomeness.

Bland script for sure, but I was highly entertained (also got it from BB back in the good ol GC days for like $15)

Rhode Island didn't necessarily invest in the studio, but offered grants to bring in companies from a burgeoning industry to help increase state's finances and all that like many others do. In the end, their one sign-up ended up being the Titanic of publishers. Here's a good in-depth article on the whole fiasco:

http://www.bostonmagazine.com/2012/07/38-studios-end-game/

The basic gist is that they were working on an MMO called Project Copernicus with several big names attached to it that required a ton of money, so they bought up Big Huge Games before they were going to be shut down the first time by THQ during the development of Reckoning and moved everybody to Rhode Island to get $75 million in grants to help keep them going. It was turned into the Kingdoms of Amalur game that released and sold pretty well for a new IP, but the MMO and loan repayment plans needed the game to do amazingly well in order to help make everybody happy. In the end, Curt Schilling lost all $50 million that he had saved up from his playing days, the company had about $150 million in debt, and Rhode Island would've been lucky to get even a small portion of their money back. The way the employees found out about the financial issues in the final weeks is awful.

You mean Rhode Island...
38 Studios was in Rhode Island, Big Huge games was in Maryland. When BHG closed their doors, I bought a few mic stands from their liquidation auction; by the transitive property, this makes me a developer for Kingdoms of Amalur. Hope you all enjoyed my game!

Yea, I was focusing on the main plot and it was originally intended to be an MMO, so you have to do the side quests.

The problem I'm having, I have now sort of triple dipped in the game.

Is DBX season pass worth it at this point? I thought they'd make a complete edition of the game
They do have a bundled/complete version on PSN

I grabbed the season pass and found it lack luster.

More PMs, and a small bit more story (GT only) but really nothing with the Resurrection of Frieza.

I was able to steam roll the new content solo in an afternoon.. all except PM "Eternal Rivals"

You fight every version of Goku and Vegeta at once (Base, SSJ, SSJ2 Veg & SSJ3 Goku, SSJ4, SSGSS)

Truly the only special edition console other than the 20th Anniversary model I've ever had any desire to own.

I imagine Curt Schilling has one foot in a bankruptcy hole and the other on a banana peel.
