Okay I get the hint.

And thanks for making it even more annoying.

Also Xcom2 is a horrible mess...so many glitches I have run into.

Great game, just glitchy as all hell.

Most recent one: Shooting the wrong, non selected target.

So basically - buy now to Beta Test a buggy, glitchy + incomplete game that'll likely have a good deal of DLC's and/or expansions later!!!

Amirite?

Do people here play Magic Duels?

I am usually a staunch opponent against paying for, or even playing, F2P games yet here I am about to pull the trigger on dropping $25 on this game.  Figured you guys here could help talk me into or out of it.

I played it when it came out. I've played paper Magic on and off since Antiquities/Unlimited. Enjoyed it at first but the lack of any communication with opponents -- even a "good game" -- and then the forever-long wait until the expansion dropped (a month+ late) made me lose interest. Last I looked, the community was pretty small -- it took major hits both from initial bugs with the game and then the delay before the expansion came out (Magic Duels was actually supposed to have it before the paper release). I never spent any money on it but, at the time, it was fairly easy to grind gold to get all the available cards. The more cards they add the harder it is to catch up via grinding I suppose. Still, the half-assed way they ran the game while I played it would make me hesitant to drop money on it.

BORING.

Somebody tell me where the cheapest legit-ish place I can get a Uplay key for The Crew'a expac is. God that was a bad sentence.

I played some of The Crew this morning and I loved it. Big open world, just enough to keep you busy without getting completely overrun. I likes it a lot.

Shut up its proper racing*.
I know MysterD already said it, but complete was $15 on Amazon :p. Isn't it fun though? Maybe I will run into you there.

BRO ALERT
I set up an event in March for UT3 and will get the others out there too. All bros need to pick up the unreal deal pack while it's on sale!
Asshole. Now I have to buy it.

So the consensus on Shark Attack Deathmatch, worth picking up? Actually looks kind of fun.
Best game I've played this year. We did two bro nights for it. 11/10 would steal kills from Spoder again.

And I am caught up. Had a long day spent out and about thrifting and pawn shopping with...nothing really amazing to show, but enjoyed myself.

I played the tutorial, saw it was like playing real Magic and did the same thing I do/did with real Magic: Say I'll play it again sometime but never touch it.

For talking out, well for that price you could go trucking across CA/NV with $5 to spare for Taco Bell.

Well, communism is pretty flawed. Capitalism is good with checks and balances and social programs (something more like a mixed economy). The problem with our economic system is right now it's more and developing further into corporatism than capitalism
We should meet at a bar, have a gluten-free beer, and further discuss these issues.

Also thanks a lot for Motoki's new avatar, it really brings cohesion to this YBXYZ ordeal.

So, the Deadpool reviews are in... it's no Fant4stic.
So it's not like the Fantastic Four reboot? Is this a good or bad thing? I'm leaning towards good, might enjoy it even more now since Fantastic Four sucked balls.

got 13 hours in so far. no bad glitches for me yet. but ya know, PERSONAL ANECDOTES!!!

the funniest thing i've seen was on a stream. a soldier was strangled by one of those viper things. he killed the viper but the soldier was still stuck on the strangulation animation. she was moving around and attacking and everything. pretty funny.

Yeah, those Crew content deals needs to happen again...or be even better discounted now, since time's passed since that last glitch/sale. :p

Since I'm bored and like to restart old arguments, I saw this on sale on Newegg for $950:

ASUS ROG G20AJ-US009S Desktop PC, Intel Core i7 4790 + Gaming Bundle

I won't link since Newegg links never work.  I took the lowest price for parts on Newegg and came with $720.  So that's a $230 difference.

I do think that's a little low.  I assumed the cheapest 760 and cheapest ASUS mobo.  I also did a cheap price for the case, but a case like that would probably be a bit more.

There is a mark up, but it's not insane.  Now I do think for the money you could get a better GFX card, but it's not like they are charging a 100% markup on things.

Have you given any thought to the gametype? I'd suggest Warfare or Vehicle CTF. Warfare is just a connect-the-dots to the enemy base and everyone has played a version of CTF. Both have vehicles that are very fun to use and should be pretty friendly for the newcomer.
I didn't think about it too much, but we gotta try vehicle modes for sure.

Seems like a decent start for the non-DIY that wants to have the PC all done in one clip, pretty much.

One could always upgrade PSU, video card & RAM later - but those parts in there should probably suffice fine, for now.

Certainly sounds better than that Alienware Box.

I think this illustrates perfectly the reason most people prefer to do DIY builds these days: choice. I can choose to skimp on the case and get a better gfx card or processor. Maybe I can do a cheaper mobo because I'm not going to run SLI but I can buy a power supply that won't melt my rig and will allow me more overhead for over clocks. Self builds aren't the crazy value proposition they used to be 10 years ago where you could save hundreds just for socketing and plugging things in yourself (although we did have to decipher jumper positions with shitty documentation and next to nothing on the Internet for help, which sucked) but they are awesome for being able to choose what you want.

Yep, that's why I'll next go around likely go DIY again: choice. I can make all kinds of choices on what to skimp on; what not to skimp on; take advantage of getting parts in killer sales; and things of that sort. From early January 2011 to May 2011, I was doing the part round-up for my (then) new rig, which I wanted ready-to-go by Witcher 2 release-day. Some of the fun for me back when deciding to put my rig together in 2011 was to just get the parts I really wanted or ones very close that I would settle on b/c of the catching killer deals from hawk-watching of them on NewEgg, TigerDirect, MicroCenter, etc.

See you guys got MysterD started again.

Hey YBXYZ why don't you tell us about bro nights you are planning to plan then cancel then replace at the last minute with another and complain no one shows up? I'm sure we'd all love to hear about that.

Same thing on Amazon but for ~$900 + tax.

Question though, when you did your part out on Newegg, did you assume a full retail copy of Windows or did you anticipate a shadybro from reddit or some other grey market place?

Why didn't you link it? I had to highlight this, click copy, then paste it and then hit search on Newegg. That is 3 steps too many.

Processors, RAM and graphics cards are easy, but how do I know what is a good mobo or power supply? PSUs with higher watts are better I guess, but what do I need? These are things I'm too lazy to research. If I put in the most expensive mobo and power supply I find I'm not saving money, so how does one even know what they need so they don't overdo it?

You have to like doing the research. Some people like being able to research and pick out parts to customize their build and tailor to their needs. Some people don't. I have no problem with it either way and I definitely get the counter-argument, which is "Why should I spend all that time picking parts when I can just buy something and start using it?"

Since I also play guitar, I always liken it to that: I could buy all the individual parts and build a custom ax, or I can just roll into Guitar Center, buy something, and walk out and start playing.

do you play world of warships?
Nope.

And I gave you guys long enough so lurk away:

This is me trying to find the cheapest quality parts possible to recreate this build, also the fact that you will get an OEM version of windows that you won't get to take with you, so I found the 'shadybro price', as these vendors have a near limitless supply of these keys for a subscription price.

However, you are not considering a few things about this computer. It is a proprietary case (0 room for upgrades), most likely a stripped down version of the GFX card - poor cooling (chip and 1 fan randomly placed on it), PSU is an external AC adapter (this right here should scream red flag), and the mobo is definitely custom built for this computer as the one I parted out is the cheapest I could find with wifi and has more ports.

Now if you were to spend that money wiser...

There is a $35 mail in rebate on the Mobo, so you should roughly come out to about the same in the end.

Everyone breakout your Frankenstein gifs the Vista laptop is back in service!!!!!

It was a simple fix on paper, relatively simple in real life too, as it was just a new HD and reinstall but the new SSD wouldn't connect to the motherboard while it was in the tray....  I guess it was coming up short each time.  Not sure why the Dell one worked as I had removed and reslotted the original HD numerous times.  But this being Dell it was cheaply made, I'm sure I could have crumpled the tray in in my hand if I had wanted too.

Anyhow, I had to connect the HD without it being connected to the tray, not something I would have done if serious money was involved but I tried the tray numerous times.  After that I slid the tray in around the HD to help keep it stabilize, plopped the cover plate on, and put a slightly longer screw into it to hold it in place.   (The laptop doesn't really travel far... From living room to bedroom, if at all, so I'm not expecting any problems.

On my computer the RAM swapped went quickly, slapped them and changed the speed in the BIOS, and the monitor was quick also...  The new monitor is slightly bigger...  Guessing the old ASUS was a 22.5 or so.  The AOG is legitimately every 16th of an inch of the stated 24 inches.  The reviews didn't really comment on how bright it is.  I know Tom's Hardware had suggested settings in there reviews, I'll did them up here in a few, but right now every time I go to a page with a white background I expect to get a sunburn. lol  (Also need to work on my gaming headset's settings (non 20 dollar version) since my new monitor has no speakers and the headset sounds slightly off.

So been away for a bit. Known glitch that you can't switch to desktop mode in a mobile browser even when requesting full site in desktop mode?

Anyway, I am too lazy to individually click back through ten to fifteen pages one by one so I don't know if it was mentioned but Shadowrun Hong Kong just got its extended edition. If you already own the original Hong Kong, you already have the extended edition. If not, the game is 50% off on Steam and the others are 80% off.

I am probably about half to three quarters through based on how the storyline is going with having done all the side missions. Still fairly easy on normal. Only had to use a few health items so far and have plenty of money. Fairly buggy and I am going to have to try restarting a level and hope letting the NPCs disappear before I leave a room fixes it or I may just have to wait for a patch to advance further.
