This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

See this POST for links to store sale pages, threads of interest and other tools to help you become a more informed PC game shopper.

I see old Blizzard stuff at Goodwill all the time.  In fact, that's mostly what I see when it comes to PC games, so I just assume it's assholes redeeming online codes and not doing the honorable thing of throwing it away once it's used.

I used to find Starcraft 1 CDs with the keys, and trade off the codes with people a while back, but most just stopped caring once Starcraft II came out. Come to think of it I haven't seen up a single copy of Starcraft in months...

so where was d3 for 3$?
The flea market where I buy stuff at for reselling and keeping. Once in a while I get a gem like this. The thing had a Goodwill price sticker - $15.98.

Other notable finds over the years have been Unreal Tournament III, Prey, Portal 2, Counter-Strike Anthology (years before CS:GO came out), and many more. I rarely take the gamble because most games now require you to have an account and the keys will only work once.

Was it an open box or something?

I managed to get good keys for pretty much all of Blizzards past catalog for $1-2 each at thrift stores over the years.
Nope. It was still sealed. I figured, if it works, great, if not then I'm only out three bucks. I didn't find much of anything else from my usual sources so this was a good find.

Funny enough, the last one I saw was Starcraft the other day.

I'm not sure what version it is but the wife thought she wanted one of those natural keboards at one time... so we got one and it sat in it box for years. Pretty sure it's still wrapped. I fear it's so old it might not be USB. Anyhow, I can dig it out in the morning and give more details if you're curious.
Nah, thanks, I'm going to stick with this keyboard..for the year it will last. Fun fact, (if it's the same or similar keyboard) it's USB with a PS/2 adapter...a PS/2 adapter that doesn't work with the revised 4000 model. I guess that's more of a boring fact. Anyway...get that keyboard out and use it man! It is awesome! I guarantee* as soon as you get used to the split you'll love it! Unless you are used to one of those mechanical things...

*Not an actual guarantee.

I bought one of those 4000 series after my old compaq keyboard died, pretty terrible. Too squishy and way too big for my desk. Maybe the older model, but the new model can't compare to my cheap monoprice mechanical keyboard.
Yep, the new 4000 isn't so great, really squishy. And it is huge. The older model is much better. Also smaller than the 4000! ...by around half an inch on the top. Thing is kind of a monster.

Strange thing about finding games at the Goodwill, at least once every 4 months I find Freedom Force vs the 3rd Reich. Of all the PC games I've seen that the most.

Quick question for all the networking, internet type peoples here.

How fast should 80 Mbps translate in actual download speeds? I'm getting roughly 10 MB/s through Steam.

I just wanted to point out that I get over 100MBPS on my uncapped comcast connection!

However I only have 2gb of VRAMs, so you are all most likely better than me at VRAMs!

It'd be $1.88 in a group buy if we can find two others.

Just got Life is Strange from Amazon because I had $3 in slowbro credit.

Now just have to debate H1Z1 before the end of the sale.
I'm struggling with the H1Z1 decision as well.
Buy it, then we can play Battle Royale together and rage why survival mode is being left behind for Battle Royale.
Follow by the worst toxic community that will make you believe you're on xbox live again with the "n word" being thrown around by bunch of idiots every second

Hopefully they improve that when they have two teams after the split.

That feel when unlimited comcast internet connection.

I must had deleted fallout 3 30 times over this year just to fix mods.

Has ISP speed talk replaced burgers, pizza, and shoes?

I guess Ashot Moonlights at Amazon UK because after almost 24 hours they approved my 1.5 pound Just Cause 3 order and gave me a key.

I don't know what crack they're smoking but I ain't complaining.

I finally found those Walmart deals you guys talk about.

Also - I'm at Walmart, send help before the Free Shit Army eats me. This whale in a Rascal has been eyeing me and now I'm scared.

Is ESO PC for $2 there?

Is Divinity OS PC for $10 or less there?

If that Reaper of Souls is less than $5 I'll take one!

Also, Lightroom 4 may be worth flipping on ebay if it's cheap enough.

That sounds like a fun time. I don't see anything wrong.

Don't worry, if you stay quiet long enough they eventually get bored and rejoin the pack.
