Alright, need some advice.  I have a 20% off coupon that's going to be expiring the end of the month.  Trying to figure out what to use it on.  Probably going to use it this weekend.

Currently planning on getting:

Divinity

The Witness

Other possibilities:

Bloodborne Complete Bundle

LIfe Is Strange

Firewatch + Theme

Currently on the fence with Bloodborne.  Everyone seems to love it, but I'm not entirely sold.  I got Dark Souls for free via XBL a while back, and enjoyed what I played of it, but it didn't really hook me.  Worried I'll feel the same way about Bloodborne - it's one of the few times I really really wish it had a demo.  OTOH, It's likely due for a sale before too long, and hopefully when it does, it'd be better than the 20% off I'm going to get with the coupon currently.

KInda leaning away from LIS and Firewatch, just because I know they're not going up in price, $20 isn't too bad in the future regardless, and if I'm patient enough, I know I'll be able to get them on sale for probably better than 20% off.  (Yes, the same applies to The Witness, but I've heard great things about it, and I love puzzle games, and I'm pretty confident it's going to be a LONG while before it goes on sale.)

Also, heard that both of them kinda fizzle in the end, which worries me a bit.

Thoughts?

wow, firewatch is short. i enjoyed it, but wow, 3 1/2, maybe 4 hours? literally just played it in one playthrough. also for anyone worried about the trophies they are unmissable, just play through and you get them all. it is interesting if you like the genre, but id definitely wait for a sale.

I thought it was worth $18, personally. That's way less than the price of going to a movie and getting drinks/snacks where I live.

Also, for people comparing it to Everyone's Gone to the Rapture is like comparing Vonnegut to Dickens.

I love deals like everyone else on this site, but I also don't mind paying full price to developers for doing something worthy of my hard earned cash.

Anyone have Super Puzzle Fighter? I downloaded the demo and the sound quality is awful. Is that just how it is or is there something wrong on my end?

You mean how it's super loud? It's always been like that. Even when you scroll over the icon it's ear piercing.

Nah the sounds effects are crackling. Everything else sounds fine aside from that

Edit: figured it out. You were right about how ridiculously loud it is. Went into options and dropped the sfx and bgm to low levels and that fixed it.

Considering that Sony doesn't own Crash Bandicoot, has Zero say in the series, and hasn't given a damn about their ex-mascot since the PS1...I'm gonna take that with a grain of salt.

ikr? Only thing I can even guess is they mean they are porting the old games to ps4 or something stupid

I wouldn't get excited just because of how every other reboot of something like that goes. Will probably end up a pachinko machine or a mobile Candy Crush clone.

I could be wrong, but it seems like physical stock of Divinity Original Sin for the PS4 is low.
That does seem to be the case.

Noticed that the ps4 store listing for street fighter v doesn't mention the chun li pre order costume. Did that pre order bonus expire? Or has psn never mentioned it?

Broke down and bought Divinity, Sniper 3 Elite, and... two other games I can't even remember the name of.   Um... yorbie because it was like 39 cents, and.... a dual stick shooter that was like a buck.

i wasn't planning on buying anything but i've wanted Divinity for a long time and didn't feel like debating it anymore.  fucking backlog.

The gritty reboot where we learn Crash is what caused the outbreak in The Last of Us.

I really enjoyed Firewatch. It took me longer, but I'm slow, I guess 6-10 hours (how do people keep track of this, carefully watch a clock?). I went in expecting a National Park simulator with hiking and firespotting, long gameplay, and more like a "sim" sort of thing. I'm actually pleased that I was so totally mistaken. I think it allowed it to surprise and delight me all the more. Now that it's over, I miss it, and going back to the endgame of Fallout 4, all I can think about is Firewatch.

I'm so used to getting a ton of game for $20, but that's just because I'm cheap. If you think of Firewatch as 1/3 the price of the average game, then I think it's worth it. For $10, it is definitely worth it. If you like hiking or (I guess) heavily story-based games, it's not one to miss. I really like hiking, and I also really enjoyed Gone Home (which I think is a better analogue than Everyone's Gone to the Rapture).

Firewatch does not overstay its welcome; in fact, while maybe it's best to be left feeling like something was just enough, I am left wanting more, and there are really no other games like it. Despite being the closest to a "walking simulator" (I wanted a hiking sim!), it is actually the least like a "walking simulator" of the games that get called that.

Really? I enjoy "walking simulators", but I just couldn't get into Gone Home. Loving Firewatch though.
I didn't like Dear Esther at all... To me, that's more of a "walking simulator." I guess there is not much walking in Gone Home! I think Gone Home and Firewatch are both more about the story and use different excuses to get that story across.

I picked up a 20$ ps card with GS credit and bought castlestorm and Defense Grid 2 on Saturday.

Then the wife gave me a 20$ ps card for vday Sunday so I grabbed Divinity. If I had known I would have got them all at once and slapped on the 20% code.

Hoping for another bloodbourne sale before this code expires and if farcry primal reviews well I will throw that in too.

Flash sale ends in an hour, and I need to add a $20 card to my account so I can pick up Divinity. Problem is, it won't let me add the card to my account online (Server maintenance), and I'm nowhere near my systems. Anyone have other suggestions?

Similar issue here. Trying to pick up Soul Sacrifice Delta but I get a server maintenance error when using the website.

I tried to purchase it through my PSTV (I don't own a Vita) but the game doesn't show up as being compatible when it actually is.

Is ordering a code from Amazon out of the question?

I was able to get my purchase to go through by using Chrome instead of Firefox.

IE looks to be working as well.

Have you tried using the scanner on the playstation app? Might work.

The issue was not being able to enter the code anywhere on PSN side, so this wouldn't have helped. Thanks for the reply though!

Was able to get in with IE after Chrome was a no-go. Luckily sale was still going, just no more FP banner on the PS Store page.

Didn't know this was even a thing! Will be nice to know for the future.

There isn't a single player game on launch for SFV? If so i'm waiting till march so I can get at least get lobbies to play in.

Edit: Read an early review sounds like quick and dirty 2-4 matches per person and a survival mode. Still want the lobbies.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2016/02/15/hitman-go-definitive-edition-hits-ps4-ps-vita-february-23rd/

Hitman Go Definitive Edition is coming to PS4/Vita next week for $7.99 with Cross Buy and Cross Save support along with a Platinum trophy. I think this is Square Enix's first Cross Buy game.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2016/02/11/knights-and-bikes-confirmed-for-ps4/

Knights and Bikes, a new Kickstarter from Rex Crowle (Tearaway lead) and various other folks from Media Molecule and Insomniac that make up Foam Sword Games, is coming to PS4 if it gets funded. They're about $50k from reaching their goal with about 16 days left, which seems like it's definitely going to make it.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2016/02/11/party-hard-launching-on-ps4-this-spring/

Party Hard is coming to PS4 this spring. This is a cool stealth puzzle game about a neighbor being awoken by a loud party in the middle of the night who decides to kill everybody at the party to get his peace and quiet.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2016/02/11/brain-bending-shooter-inversus-coming-to-ps4/

This interesting strategy arcade shooter called Inversus is coming to PS4:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mvjjHaqwxtQ

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2016/02/12/playstation-store-januarys-top-downloads/

Minecraft dominated the PS4 and PS3 Top Sellers lists with Rocket League at #2 on the PS4 list with The Witness making a good debut at the 8th spot. Persona 4 Golden is the top Vita game for last month with Minecraft at #3.

I get the feeling that if I hadn't skipped this flash sale, I would have had problems checking out. It always seems to happen for me, and other people mentioned having trouble.

As someone who already bought GTA 3, Vice City, San Andreas, Bully, GTA4, LA Noire, Max Payne, and Red Dead on PS3 and GTA5 on PS4, it's reallllly lame that they're not cross buy for the same game.

However, Persona 4 Golden is $9 and I just bought a PSTV. God damn you, Sony.
