PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

Woah I kind of want to try for the Mordor Plat now.

I digitized a few games on my shelf, Until Dawn, Battlefront, and Bloodborne since GS's TIVs were higher than what they were selling most of them for on PSN. I also picked up The Witcher to get the $15 back by spending $100. Should also get the 3X reward points on all of them for the Critics Sale games.

I'm still debating on what to do. Division gold is sold out on best Buy and Amazon. Has me leaning towards digital for the regular edition at least, and there's a couple games I want on sale this week, but I'd still be short of the $100 with no idea what's coming tomorrow. Or I could just wait until release, and see if my best Buy gets a gold edition. If not, buy the regular edition and use the cert on the pass.

Finally purchased Axiom Verge from the sale. But not going to get to it for a bit so hopefully it wasn't a mistake....
Thought about it but passed for same reason, not sure id get to it soon, plus id be buying it to basically just wait on the vita version, will just wait till it launches finally and get it then, hopefully for less than was on sale this time.

No games beat this month thanks to the beta. Almost as many hours in that as I put into ff7 and digimon combined. Could beat the main game for 7 tonight, but I think I'll just save it to pad March's total.

Just get the physical since you get $10 cert and 20% off.

See if your bby gets the gold edition first, probably the cheapest way to get everything since it looks like the pass is $40 at gs. Then go with the regular ed at bby using the cert for the pass if not. If you do store pickup for the regular edition you have a week to pick it up and still get everything so you can check if the gold version is available. You should also be able to upgrade your order to the gold that way and still keep the cert for preordering.

Edit: begining part was kind of confusing. Put down an instore pickup for the regular. Then upgrade it to gold at the register if available. You should be able to keep your preorder cert that way. Or I guess you could see if the in store preorder methods will let you get the gold version.

Since everyone loved my Action Henk stream so much last night, thought I'd share me finally beating the last level of the game (except for the bonus worlds.)  Took like an hour.

Shmup Xenoraid coming to PS4/Vita this year:

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2016/02/29/introducing-scrolling-shoot-em-up-xenoraid-on-ps4-ps-vita/

It's not a bullet-hell game, so it could be interesting. They made a gun overheating mechanic to help separate it from the shoot constantly mindset a lot of these games have. There's also a mechanic where you have 4 fighters you switch between and you do so as weapons overheat or one ship gets damaged. From 10Tons (Baseball Riot, Sparkle Unleashed, Crimsonland.)

Pitfall, the Braves just announced on their FB page that they hired Andruw as a special assistant to baseball operations. He'll report to the two Johns.

Diablo 3 trading pretty high at gamestop and they have cash=credit TIVs now. Guess im going to grind out the las of the bounties today.

That Action Henk sequence did look kinda fun actually.  I'm sure failing it multiple times will change my tune if I actually play it.

Having to change weapons constantly as they overheat doesn't sound very fun at all, just sounds like added tedium.

Awesome, pretty sure my work computer monitor is about to kick the bucket. Damn thing has a green tint and won't stop flickering and pulsing in and out. Yay monday.

Maybe. It depends on how it's balanced. It sounds like they're going for a more strategic approach to the game. I certainly don't have a problem with that.

Yeah, I saw that. I'm glad they're bringing back a lot of the veterans, especially with all the young players that'll be up and down this year. Chipper also has a role now, too.

Should I play the first Ratchet & Clank via the PS3 Collection or just play the PS4 remake of it? I'll likely play both, but just wondering which should be my entry into the series.

CRT or LCD? I just got a nice 24" LED a couple weeks ago at work.
LCD. I think its a 24" as well. Tried just about everything I could to get it working properly again, but its pretty much garbage now. Swapped out for a lesser used one in the office for now, but I'm probably going to have to run to best buy this week and grab a new one. Super inconvenient timing on it though, I was actually trying to get shit done this morning lol.

If your going to play both anyway go witht he original. your going to hate gong back to it after the shiny new one. the first R and C has wonky controls compared to the others too so you def need to play it first.

Great games though so do it!

I think I am going to look into getting some 24 inch monitors.  These old 19 inchers have been around a while.  Of course I have three right now, so I can tell them I am saving money by only needing 2 new 24s!

The demo units at gamestop have the new game looking really nice. I replayed the first one on vita last year though, and everything handled pretty well and looked decent. If you're planning on playing the whole series though, I don't know if starting on PS4 would be best, might make the other games really hard to look at/control comparatively. I'm not sure how much of the mechanics they'll be updating for the PS4 version.

Yeah what Wren said. The first one didn't have strafe and you're going to hate playing that one after you're used to using it all the time.

For those of you in Publix territory, the Boar's Head Italian combo they have for sale this week (I assume it is on sale at all Publix locations) in the deli makes a damn fine sandwich.  Ham, capicola, salami, and provolone cheese.  Quarter pound of each for $8.  I made 2 wraps out of one pack.

The flavors are close to the Grinder at Which Wich since the only difference is ham instead of pepperoni.

Seems like it would be a better idea to rip off Ikaruga and make certain enemies immune to certain weapon fire or to make it not a straight rip-off, make certain enemies weaker or stronger against certain weapon types to encourage swapping.

During regular missions it probably wouldn't be so bad as you only need to fire when an enemy is on the screen, but in boss battles when that's all you do is hold the fire button down to keep hitting their weak point, having to change weapons will get quite annoying, especially if you have a favorite shot type to help with that boss battle. If they have properly designed it so that you only a small opening to shoot, and that hit does lots of damage, it might not be an issue. But it seems like this overheat thing is more like an afterthought based on the blog post than a core feature they had in mind before designing any of the levels.

Also it appears you are not switching weapons, but to a different ship. Does that mean every ship is going to have the same weapon, does each ship have a fixed weapon type, or do you upgrade the weapon type of each independently? With 2 ships you can make it a one-button toggle, but how are you going to easily cycle through 4 ships to quickly pick the one you need? I guess maybe the D-pad? But some would probably rather use that for moving their ship.
