That is correct. I also got two boxes. I wonder how many people they shipped duplicates to. I'll be canceling my subscription though to cut down on costs.

How bad is the plat? 5/10 on psntrophies? I think I have about 2/3 of the trophies already. There is some online stuff I assume these are still obtainable?

I just got the deadpool box, I got the first couple but then quit it. No plans to get the captain america box that comes out next, but if another box piques my interest ill jump in again.

The hulk buster ironman was still the best box and that was the first one.

Ok read most of it, not a fan of this idea. Whole reason for a console is to NOT have to upgrade every year or two. I buy a ps4 I know I can play every game that comes out for the next 7ish years and not have to worry if my ps4 can run it the way it was intended. If xbox1.3 is a lot more powerful than xbox1 then you might see a gimped version on an OG x1 which would suck, would be like when games were on ps3 and ps4 at the same time, like ac4, the ps4 version ran and looked better.

Oh and the other BIG question not even mentioned, xbox live. No WAY pc gamers would pay for live.

There's three major 'leagues' with tiers in the first two:

Bronze (500LP) -> Super Bronze (1000LP) -> Ultra Bronze (1500LP)

Silver (2000LP) -> Something Silver (3000LP) -> Something Else Silver (3500LP)

Gold (4000LP)

After the first 500 or 1000 (I don't remember) you get ~65LP for beating someone in your same league + tier. So if you're S.Bronze and your opponent is S.Bronze and you win, you get ~65LP. If you lose, you lose ~65LP.

If you fight someone in a lower league OR tier, you only get ~32LP for winning but you lose ~65LP if you lose (e.g. if you're S.Bronze and win against Bronze you only get ~32LP).

If you fight someone in a higher league (not tier) you get more LP (no idea how much more but I assume it scales) and only lose ~10-20LP if you lose.

So I tend to hover around 1300-1700LP and a normal morning for me is to win 4-5 in a row against lower tier matchups (~32x5 = +160LP) lose a couple times (~65x2 = -130LP) etc. You don't have any control over matchups at all but their matchmaking for me has been excellent - I'd say I've had maybe 3 complete blowouts where my opponent has been waaaay better than me and about the same number of times I've been waaaay better than my opponent. Tons of matches where we each ended with a pixel left.

All I'd like to do is get to silver league once for the shiny trophy and finished my 100 ranked matches and then I'll switch to casual matches. I doubt I'll ever be able to make gold league for the other trophy. But it just doesn't take long to lose a lot of progress so it's a bit frustrating. it has really helped me get better since I never really learned to play sf4.

Make sure she is listed as a pick up person. Once I ordered something and used a credit card that was in my wife's name. The best buy account was in MY name. They gave me a hard time picking it up since the first names were different. I was like so I could use the same damn credit card to buy the same item at the register. But I can't pick it up without my wife standing here? Gave me some crap about protecting the credit card. Same card I could use at the register no questions asked.

She was with me but at a different store. I was tempted to just pick it up off the shelf and buy it but it was semi bulky so easier not to have to do that.

fucking ridiculous.

Yeah. I'm having trouble seeing a reason to buy a XB1 if all the games are coming to PC, though. XB1 was already a hard sell to begin with. Additionally this seems like it would lead to performance issues--the more the games are decoupled from the hardware, the more distant the programming is from that hardware. It allows for easier and faster programming to hand off the graphics and sound to DirectX or whatever but (to my understanding) that introduces a significant performance hit. Hardware-specific coding has always been one of the things that allows an 8-year-old console to play games on a semi-equal level with a modern PC. The approach they're talking about causes XB1 consoles to age faster, decreases the consumer need for an XB1, introduces performance variance between XB1 models, and is likely to cause market confusion that damages the already weak XB1 sales.

Yeah I got the Hulkbuster and a couple others. I thought I canceled in time for this month but they'd already charged and shipped the box. I'm thinking of getting rid of a lot of gaming/geeky items in the near future. Maybe throwing a bundle on eBay or something. It's too much clutter for me now.
 
So after the 5th time within the last 30 days that my ex has left my son at my Mom's house without picking him up or even calling on a school night, I've had enough of it to start conversations with her about him possibly moving in with me once the school year is over. I'm trying my best not to set off her hellish temper. I would hope she isn't blind to her neglect of him and will take this conversation seriously. Wish me luck guys.

 
Dark Tower movie is officially official with Idris Elba and McConaughey.  Seems they're also starting the movie somewhere in the 3rd book, which I'm not really a fan of.  I'd rather see them take the Harry Potter/Hunger Games approach and do one movie for each book.  But I'll reserve judgement until I see the damn thing.
