Third book was really good, yes. But I'm a big believer in telling the story as the author intended. But King is obviously behind this so I can't argue too much. I think there would be enough action and drama from the 1st book to make a complete movie and make it entertaining. It doesn't have to start out on the epic 3-hour note that others have.

But again, I'll reserve judgement until it all comes together with the movie and whatever other plans they have. I'm just excited to see these finally come to the big screen.

If she is dropping the kid off at YOUR Mom's house (hi Mrs Backlog! you really arent too young for me!) why cant you tell your mom to not allow her to drop him off? Or at the very least it should be easy to go to court for full custody since your mom should want to help you in this case.

Unless you and your mom dont get along, then you have other problems that may be an issue too.

The tricky thing about it is I've been trying not to piss her off in fear that she'd get pissed at my parents and try to keep him from them. That would kill my Mom. It's a really tricky situation. He basically lived with my parents the entire time she kept him from me. So it would absolutely crush my kid and my parents if she did that. And there's nothing stopping her at the moment if she wanted to get that nasty. But I've got to try something, he is in school and needs a schedule and stability. Most of the time when she does pick him up, he's asleep. Goes to sleep at my Mom's and wakes up at her house. Shit is stupid.

But yeah, this update does have a couple decent features fans requested, but being able to do something about that library is really what Sony should be working on. Wren bitches about it constantly and over the top but he's right, it is a mess and there needs to be a better way to sort it or just give us folders so we can sort things ourselves.

Oh and another detail I forgot, my Mom drives 20 miles from where she babysits to pick him up from school each day and then back to where she babysits. So 200 miles of driving to take care of our child each week and she doesn't get one red cent of the child support money I pay my ex.

yeah, sorry man, i shouldnt have said easy as it never is. a buddy of mine has a similar situation. His daughter stays with his ex wife's parents a lot while the ex wife is out with different people, and i think a few guys. she left her kid with her parents on her weekend just because it was valentines day and she wanted to be alone with her boyfriend. Bullshit. Your kid is more important. We were out playing golf sunday and his daughter was with the ex but called her dad wanting to facetime...probably cause the mom wasnt paying attention to her. She is 10.

As much as I talk about trying to get laid etc, if some chick guaranteed I would get laid but it was my weekend to have my daughter I would say no. Every damn time.

This may be diving too deep into personal business (and if so please tell me to STFU), but whey is she in full control of the situation with the ability to take him away from you or your parents on a whim? You'd think if she's using your parents as a crutch to do her selfish shit that the arrangement would be more open and equal? Or maybe I'm forgetting some other court decision you've told us about.

I just don't like seeing kids being used as leverage or treated like a burden of cargo like your ex seems to treat yours.

Another Pro-tip: Be prepared to not go ballistic if she asks about him staying with your mom affecting her child's support money or possibly even asking for more to allow this to happen if she really is scum of the earth.

She lied to a judge to get full custody. Said I threatened her, which never happened. All too easy for a woman to do, especially in my area. Typical "war on dads" situation. Spiteful ex bullshit.

 
Backlog, is your child support going direct out of your pay check?  If not, you should think about giving your mom the % that she has the kid.  And telling your ex that this is the way it has to be if she takes care of the kid.  She would have to go to court to fight you on it and then you could bring up why.  Just keep records of the date and time the kids is with your parents.

I know you probably cant because of the fact that the ex might keep the kid from your parents, but it might be worth it to have some hardship short term.  She cant keep him from you all the time or you would go to court anyway.  Just a though.   Tell me to shut up now since I know this isnt easy and I make it sound like it is.

This strangely is the one area that she hasn't badgered me on. She knows I can't afford a huge amount of child support. But I assume it's only because she doesn't want to be the bad guy if I end up in jail or homeless for insane child support demands. She wouldn't want to have to explain that one.

I buy a ps4 I know I can play every game that comes out for the next 7ish years and not have to worry if my ps4 can run it the way it was intended. If xbox1.3 is a lot more powerful than xbox1 then you might see a gimped version on an OG x1 which would suck, would be like when games were on ps3 and ps4 at the same time, like ac4, the ps4 version ran and looked better.

It's interesting but I'm not sure what the real goal is, seems like it would over complicate things for the average consumer. So I have an X1 but only X1.2 plays this game? but it plays my old ones? Upgrade upgrade upgrade.

It sounds to me like Microsoft is trying to take the STEAM out of STEAM. I pretty sure Quantum Break is already just a Windows Store game on PC. It's annoying that most companies are now building their own digital computer apps like EA and Ubisoft. Fragmenting the market. CAN'T I just get everything in one damn place?

Steam actually made PC gaming tolerable and with the use of a controller it's almost hard to differentiate it from console gaming (when everything is working).

So now you have STEAM boxes trying to be consoles and X1s trying to be a PC. I think it just goes to show that those lines are starting to and have already blurred.

Add in the fact that they are legitimately shrinking gaming PCs, with INTEL themselves announcing the SkullCanyon line of NUCs on the way with an external graphics solution it's just going to get easier and easier for people...at least when prices level out.

For me personally right now. I love the Playstation ecosystem and it's where I choose to hang my hat. I have that new gaming laptop but it's really just to play my existing STEAM library and the few games I'd actually want to play that are X1\PC exclusive.

I've actually considered doing just this. But my lawyer says I need to pay it regardless. That and I'm trying to not be divorced from this bitch just as quickly as I possibly can make that happen. I wish there was a way I could force her to change her last name once it's over.

And maybe I'm generalizing too much about her intentions, but from what you've described, she doesn't seem to have his best interest (or anyone besides her own) in mind. Making your parents drive all around and be his parents. Making him sleep in the community house. Seemingly not being there at all for him.

I think it's time to get a judge to review the custody agreement. Evidence is out there of her shitty shit. She shouldn't be able to get away with this.

It does now, yes, but it took a couple years to get them and everybody was very happy about the addition. PS3 also has folders now, but again it took a while. Both systems still have shit download lists, though, and the PS4 has poor organization as well. You'd think at some point that Sony would understand that stuff is important to users and implement it from the beginning of a system launch.

If I wanted to deal with all that crap I'd just be a PC gamer. If Xbox games can eventually be run on a PC or an Xbox, then doesn't the Xbox become fairly redundant? I would assume it's going to be cheaper to upgrade your PC every few years as opposed to console upgrades every few years as at least there is competition among PC upgrade vendors. Your only option will be buying the Microsoft produced upgrade for the Xbox. As we've seen with the proprietary memory pricing for the Vita, that's a horrible position for the consumer to be in.

It's my day off so I'm just going to go in and vote for Sanders. Not really hyped up about him but I don't really like any of the candidates.

At least in the last election I was okay with either Romney or Obama.

Yep, its a gamble, but from what I now know about the divorce process if you have evidence and keep good records most judges are sane enough to see through the BS. I mean this is HIS mom who is taking care of the kid. She just has to say she has the kid x% of the time and my son gave me that same % of the child support. And she can show that she paid for food etc for the kid.

There is no way a judge could take the other side of that if its all true. There may be other extenuating circumstance though.

No evidence. And it didn't say that I hit her, just that I "threatened" her. Literally all it takes is her word to get a temporary order. Once she has that, it's borderline impossible to win custody back. Which is why I am in this position. I've never heard of a case in my county where custody was won back in situations like these. Even when it was proven that the basis for getting temporary custody in the first place was nothing but lies.

It comes down to how good of a judge of character the judge is and how good of a liar the woman is. That is it.

ETA: Assuming the woman is a lying piece of shit anyway. Most women aren't and of course men can be as well (in likely higher numbers).
