Maybe? I guess I'll run it again at some point. I dont even know how I would do the stealth run yet either since I don't have the distract beacon. Gotta get that unlocked.
Actually now that I think about it, I did use a mech, but not in that way. I got the stealth trophy but at the end when I was waiting for the shuttle, 2 dogs found me and knocked me down (damaging me but not tripping an alarm). I had to do another run for no damage. So I found a mission that I would not have to get out of my mech much and then treated it like a stealth mission. Got in, tossed out distractor beacons to stay stealthy for as much of the mission as possible, but using the walker's powerful guns to quickly kill scouts not grabbed by the beacon. I didn't take any damage and my mech didn't take any damage. Just make sure you come to a complete stop and don't back the mech up too close to the shuttle when you get out.

I have fond memories of going grocery shopping with my mother and then sneaking away to go to the bookstore next door to read hints for king's quest 4.
I was certain this was going to end with porn mags.

WHY DIDNT IT END WITH PORN MAGS!?!

Here is Dreii, the game with the weird spelling that Mpaullin wasn't sure about. Coming next week on Wednesday.

Also Shadow of Mordor is pretty damn fun. I'm only 3 main missions in, but enjoying the combat and how damn pretty it looks. All this mega orc leveling showcase showdown stuff they show after you die is a little confusing, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it pretty quick. I keep forgetting I have a bow & arrow too.

Can't wait to dive more into it this weekend.
I am still playing it. When I am not home I am like I can't wait to get home to play it. Then I get home and all but have to force myself to play. Then I enjoy it for the most part. I finally leveled up some. Finished 9 out of the 20 story missions and took out two (of the War Chiefs one is REALLY early in the game). Feel like I am almost powerful enough to take out anyone as long as I don't get over run.

Still going to work on the upgrades a bit before I try to do too many more story missions.

Basically when you die the guy who killed you (or the ones nearby) level up. I don't fully get it either but supposedly it was unique and supposed to make the game better. I have killed most of the ones that have killed me.

Not sure how important that is to beating the game though.

Kilik, My Watchdogs showed up yesterday.  I didn't install it but we could work on the MP shit tonight over over the weekend maybe?  I assume we would just have try tailing missions and see if we get paired up?

Let me know if you want to try it so I can install and download the patches and my game save.

I think your issue is doing all the story missions like you are.  You get leveled up a lot more by doing the side stuff if memory serves.  Plus, it is usually more fun than the story missions.

There's an option to tail a friend, so it's pretty easy.

I can probably help you guys out too. Would be a good excuse to go back and knock out some of the MP stuff.

I have done a ton of side stuff since my initial posting earlier this week. Just not sure I care for games where I have to do all (or lots) the side stuff first before actually doing the main missions. It did get to a point where it was telling me to unlock most of the upgrades I had to do some story missions. I think I hit 3rd tier on most of the upgrades. I do need to work on bumping up his health more though.

Just seems like busy work. I like playing main missions more and going back to free slaves for the 15th time later if I really want to keep playing. The side missions are decent but getting a bit repetitive. Not as bad as some games (Infamous Second Son).

Just Cause 3 March 4 Patch Details:
  • Reduced initial loading time and in-game loading screens by 20-50%
  • Fixed several memory leaks resulting in crashes
  • Reduced a number of random crashes
  • Improved streaming of game world
  • Some performance optimizations related to hitches and stuttering

I'll definitely rebuy it if/when Best Buy has a $29.99 sale price.

Dang, Nintendo finally put a couple SNES games on N3DS, and they won't offer crossbuy or a discount for people who got them on Wii U. Sucks, but I should have seen it coming.

Guys one thing I completely left out about the multiple saves convo is this. If you've been playing say 4 hours or so without quitting, saving to the same slot, and lost power while you're saving, you just lost all that time since you haven't been back to the XMB and backed the save up to the cloud. Precious hours of your life.

I realize that there is a very minute chance that the power goes out during the few seconds it takes to save, but still. I'd rather simply keep two saves going just in case. We actually sometimes have the power go out for a minute or two at random times from the summer heat in my area though so maybe I'm a little more adamant about this shit than some of you would need to be.

I cant argue with this. I loved the game, but the side mission stuff was just cookie cutter shit of the same stuff over and over. I liked all of it until you essentially did the same thing for the 20th time.

I wish they just had higher numbers of the chiefs that you had to take out. That was the best part of the game.

With that said, I probably should have bought it with the recent sale since I know I liked it enough to play it again. Since I wont be able to rent it, I would take a lot more time with it so some of the side mission stuff would not burn me out as bad as it did when I played it. Im sure it will be on sale again.

How many hours do you lose doing all these manual saves though?

I should do more manual saves then I do but I will never do them every couple hours.

I don't lose any time because it's times I'd normally be saving anyway. I just simply press up to select another slot.

I'm referring more to jrpgs that you basically have to manually save jimbo.

Do they have the account system set up and hooked to people's consoles yet?
Legitimately have no idea. I thought they were sort of connected at this point, and that wallet funds work between the two at least. But I have no idea how full the integration is. I haven't played either system in months. I'll be getting into fire emblem soon though.

Oh yea, still need to pick that up. Might be able to this weekend at some point try for that stuff.

I've never heard of playing a jrpg and just using one save slot, those guys are nutso. I usually rotate the first 3 slots and then add one offs from slot 4 on for instances where it seems like I'm having to make a point of no return type choice. I think on ffx-2 I had 9 or 10 used save slots as I tried to make sure not to jack up the 100%.

There's nothing missable in Ni No Kuni. Outside of the grind its like jrpg lite.

Nintendo is archaic, but there's one bit of archaicness that I greatly appreciate. When my kid wants to buy something on there I can put in my credit card and then choose to NOT save it for future purchases. Also, it's easy to type in credit card info on the tablet thing, so doing that every time is no problem at all.

I remember having all those hint books that required you to reveal the hints with a magic marker (a hi-lighter)

I would also grab copies of CGW at the local Waldenbooks, read them for the hints and then put them back.

Guys help me pick a short game to burn through this weekend:

Guns, Gore and Cannoli

The Swapper

Teslagrad
Guns Gore and Cannoli for sure.

Swapper is interesting and worth a play but if you want to get through it in a weekend you need to use a guide. The "story" isnt spoiled and is actually kind of cool. In other words dont listen to Tyler.

Never played Teslagrad because I know I wont like it...even with a guide it seemed like a hassle.
