PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

Really tempted on disgaea, but the division is tuesday, and I ordered darksiders 2 with the leftover on my gift card. Not to mention I still have 3 and 4 on vita to play.
Yeah, I've got D2 still sealed, and 3 on my vita. I don't know why 5 is so tempting right now lol.

I'm going to tell myself that I'm not going to buy d5 and then I'll suddenly wake up and it'll be Monday afternoon and I'll be standing in front of the store pickup counter at best buy handing the old lady my drivers license while she hands me a copy of the game.

You guys still have Velo on TT? There's a gold trophy called "Platinum" in Transformers Devastation. Well, he won that and judging my his comments under that he thinks he got the actual platinum trophy, lol. Poor guy.
I shouldn't have to explain this to you, but then i saw you have 15 plats to my 179. When I got the 'Platinum' trophy with 0.1% completion, I knew I was good to get the 100% platinum trophy. The only trophy left was beat the game with optimus prime with 9% completion and I let my son do that later that same day. so yeah. lol

also Stotch do you have any pix of you and your wife? Here is my girl and myself. :)

and this is her after having 6 of my babies... so yeah ;)

Saw that The Force Unleashed 2 surprisingly goes for $8.80 cash at game stop while checking values on junk in the backlog. Only have the unleashed playthrough (of its short as hell campaign) and I think 2 more misc trophies left so Ill probably get rid of it along with Mad Max and some vita games I have going for $10+.

Finished the first world (or I guess, constellation) in Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime with one of my kids. Really fun game. Tonight I'm going to try to recruit both of them for some Broforce.

I am going to be playing it with my kid sometime soon too. I had him watch some videos and he wanted to play it. I think it will be fun.

Finished up Inside My Radio. Quick, and pretty fun if you like rhythm stuff. Surprised they didn't do collectibles or something to make it a little longer. Probably not worth the $10 I spent on it, but for sub 5 it's definitely worth a shot if you like platformers. At $10 there's just too little content.

Grabbed a variety 12-pack of New Glarus (included 1554 and Citradelic and a Rye IPA) and a 4-pack of Tank 7 on Gator's recommendation. Gonna be a good weekend.
Funny slip up there. It would have been an even better night if you had what you typed.
lololololololololol ...wait, I don't get it.

Yeah oops. That would have been better. New Belgium variety pack, not New Glarus.
Ooooooooh, Gator doesn't understand what the word "funny" means. Now I get it.

It would only be funny to me and about 2 other people in the thread. I would not expect everyone to find it funny.

Its not like I called it a pun or something.

Transformers Devastation was quite awesome.

If you enjoy Bayonetta/Platinum games then this is very similar just a transformers skin

im hoping the TMNT platinum game is the same way

Uncharted Remastered looks great so far. I can't wait to see what the second one looks like.
Fo sho. Probably just going to finish the stuff for the plat on the first one and move on though. May do brutal, but I cbf to play em again with 4 coming out so soon.

Fun little puzzler. Starts out simple but they keep adding new enemy types, new obstacles, and tools throughout all 7 chapters to keep things from getting stale.
Move Agent 47 on the grid and either avoid or kill enemies to reach the exit / kill your target. Each level has 3 goals; completing the objective and then 2 other challenge conditions which sometimes can be done at the same time, but are often mutually exclusive. For instance a common goal is to finish the level in a maximum number of moves which you wouldn't be able to complete at the same time as killing every enemy (another common challenge goal). Moves aren't timed so you can take as much time as you want to consider your options.

There are only two minor things which occasionally annoyed me.
The angle your character move changes based on the position of the camera (which you can move using the right stick). This isn't an issue when the default camera position is like the above image where the grid lines are parallel and perpendicular with the edge of the screen. Occasionally though the default camera position is turned 45ish degrees for some reason, in which case there is a 50/50 chance pressing right might make Agent 47 move to the right or up depending on whether the default camera position is turned 43 degrees or 47 degrees. If the camera is twisted like that, to ensure accurate moves you either have to move with the touch screen, or use the right stick to twist the camera back till it's parallel/perpendicular to the edge of the screen so you can make your move. The camera stays locked in its default angle so if it is cockeyed you will have to manually twist the camera each time you move.

The other issue I had on some of the larger maps is when you are near the top of the level, it is difficult to see enemy patrols at the bottom of the map as you can't turn the camera a complete 180, you can only turn it about 100 degrees.

There are around 90 levels and those two issues only happened about 5-6 times so it isn't a big deal, but it's a shame they didn't fix it somewhere along the line considering this is a port of an existing title.

$6.39 is probably a little steep considering it is a port of a mobile game. $5 seems about the right price to pick it up. No performance issues on the vita other than sometimes the small screen makes it hard to see which direction some of the guards are facing near the back of the map.

Just remember not to use hints by pressing triangle or you'll have to reset the game to get the plat. Otherwise nothing else is missable.
Nice writeup. I'll definitely pick it up at $5 or less. As a way to avoid buying it I've been playing Lara Croft Go on my phone. It has a similar gameplay style. I've played through 2 maps so far and the only objective is to get to the exit.

There are enemies like snakes and spiders where Lara can kill them if she approaches from the side or back. Later they introduce spears where you have to be at least one space away to throw them which helps for enemies you can't sneak up on.

They also have traps and parts of the environment that can fall away and kill Lara if she goes over the same spot twice. You can use it to kill enemies that are chasing you.

They are random treasures hidden over the map. It turns into a session of you tapping over every part of the screen to find them. I think they only unlock alternate outfits for Lara so it's optional.

I figure if Hitman Go does well enough then we'll get this game too. Either that or it's cheap/easy enough to port that we'll see it in the future no matter what.

Hmm never had that happen to me.

I do agree its a bit short, but fun while it lasts. Clever little game even for someone like me with zero rhythm.
Yeah, it was really weird. I was most of the way through a level, or I would have just quit out and restarted. So weird trying to keep beat with music that wasn't there.

Enjoying AAC a lot more. Realizing it's way more of a bullet hell shooter than a slaughter everything twin stick shooter. Dealing damage is a lot less important than avoiding damage.

Did you use the little beat assists that they put in the game? I found those really helpful.

And that last boss was dreadful.
Yeah, I used them most of the way through. Made it easier to get back on beat when you messed up. The last boss took way too long. I kept getting to the last 5 seconds of the level and then messing up. Never liked those avoid ___ while it falls from the top of the screen levels in games. Way too frustrating, I had to put on headphones to make sure I could stay on beat for the jumps.

The half off rental promo is good through March 17.

I haven't really followed digital movie releases. If a movie hits Blu-Ray on March 15 does that mean it will be available for digital rental on that date?

Maybe I'll work on doing the taxes this afternoon.

Never mind, can't do fuck if the wife's not here. I don't know where she kept all the info (even though H&R block has it all interfaced), and kids need constant supervision due to behavior issues today.

I started House of Cards season 4 right now and the first episode has been entertaining.

Spoiler for people who didn't see the season 3 finale and a vague mention of a new character. Nothing big.
Seeing Claire and Frank go head to head has been entertaining. It'll be interesting to see how these two ruthless people settle things. I already like Neve Campbell's character. She might be the Doug to Claire.
