PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

Y'all know any good 2-player board/card* games (co-op or competitive) to play? Looking to play something new with the Lady this weekend. We already have and played Ticket to Ride and the Catan card game thing.

*by card game I mean boxed with own cards/rules/stuffs, not games using a standard deck.
If either of you like adventure time, the adventure time card game is fun. Even if you don't like adventure time tbh. Solid competitive game, the cards are amusing, and buying a starter set is maybe $15-$20? Its pretty easy to learn, and matches take maybe 30 minutes.

Gator, are you eating at all the great local MA places? They have a nice little hole in the wall italian place in your area, look it up. Something Garden, not 100% on the name.

goddamnit Forte is signing with the Jets instead of the Packers like every football writer this offseason was saying was gonna happen.  Goddamn Bears.

Forte + Marshall... yeah I'm a Jets fan now.

My gf picked up my copy of Watch Dogs today so add me to the group that will need those trophies whenever someone gets ready to do it..

Osweiler is going to the Texans, that's a surprise.
That is a surprise. With that fab defense in Denver you would think he would want to stay. Either he was butt hurt about being benched late in the season or most likely he just wanted the money and a warmer climate.

Looks like the Bucs are going to keep Doug Martin for $35 Million. Not a bad amount for the team, but Im sure this means he will go back to being injury plagued and do shit the rest of his career with the Bucs.

I'm not one to wait on gaming news but I'm actually curious to see what comes out of GDC. I wonder if they will announce PS VRs price. I'm not really interested in it but could be great for Playstation if they knock it out of the park on features and price.

I'm also interested in that Skull Canyon Intel NUC (tiny pc) computer which is said to be a supercharged NUC with an option for an external graphics card. It seems like PC makers are finally starting to catch on that not everyone wants a massive gaming tower.

Imma need those too, but probably won't get to the game for at least another couple weeks, most likely a month or so.
Might make us two a good match then. I need to finish Ni No Kuni and preferably beat a couple shorter games before I get back into something that will take me 20 hours or more.

Runner might be the best of the Bit.Trip games in Saga, but the more I play it, the more I appreciate Runner2. The lack of checkpoints gets really stupid for later levels, plus there's annoying slowdown (at least on Vita) sometimes when I get gold bars that can ruin my timing.

This is exactly why I fired up Hitman Go on my Vita. A short game on the side helps combat the jRPG feeling of not making any progress.

I wanted to start something else as I mentioned the other day, but I'm just so damn close on Ni No Kuni that I'd rather just finish it.

I haven't played Ni No Kuni in a week or so. Needed a break so I played a couple indies. Hoping to get back to it this weekend when I need to take breaks from the division.

Given the steep system requirements for the Occulus Rift, either PS VR is going to suck, or it's going to be the most expensive one of all.

I think I just played it on easy, which I think is just normal but removes the gold bars so I didn't have to worry about them.

I don't think it will suck, people who have already played it seem to say it's the real deal. Price will most likely be the deterrent for many.

Yeah, it's the price I'm interested in hearing. Occulus is already expensive without factoring in the system costs. I would expect PS VR to be about the same, but there's always the chance they go for undercutting the competition.

And how many of these people have played it for more than a few minutes? You can play regular video games for hours on end with no major issues. VR still requires a dumbass helmet basically covering your entire head. No one will play it for very long. Count on it.

Yup just another silly gimmick akin to the stupid move shit or the completely useless yet "mandatory" kinect

It's weird that the games industry identified mobile as a threat to the overall market because of its convenience, cheapness and accessibility to non-gamers so their answer was to sell an expensive headset you can only use wired to a box in your house that costs a lot of money.

Yeah I don't really know. Like I said it's not something I'm interested in. People just like to believe in the next big thing.

Oh, that boss monster game always looks cool when I see it. Haven't grabbed it though, if you end up playing it Zimm let me know how it is.

Has anyone playing The Division actually run into someone going rogue? Spent quite a lot of time in the dark zone today and people were just being normal and minding their business.

I feel like Sony is using the gaming market (people historically willing to shell out big bucks to try out new tech) as an intro to other applications for VR. VR will probably be around for a while, and might not stick as well with the gaming market overall, but it is a pretty good entry point if you're looking to test out commercial applications.

I wish I could find one of those. Left a dark zone last night cause this group kept harassing us. Went into a checkpoint earlier to get away from someone, made breakfast, ate the breakfast, came back out of the checkpoint, and he was still sitting there.

Yup. Cro and I spent a bit in the DZ last night and met quite a few rogues.

Also met a group of four rogues earlier today. Got the fuck out of there since I was flying solo.
