Gator, I guess Hunahpu is a special beer Cigar City makes and is really good?  Anyway we are probably going to this this tomorrow during our escapade around the bay.

EDIT:  Not sure how since I bet the tickets are sold out, but one of the guys says they know people. So maybe we wont go or maybe we will.  Who knows.

Beer before liquor, never been sicker.

Liquor before beer, never fear.

Yeah I've heard that hundreds of times(though I usually see it as "you're in the clear" as opposed to never fear), but I just always assumed it was because you have a buzz from the beer and thus kinda ignore what your limits may be with the liquor and end up puking your guts out.

It's not that I get sick, just feel foggy and have headaches.

assault android cactus is still badass.  the game is so so good.  I got to I think level 17 or 18 of infinite drive this morning and managed to get a chain of about 350 going before I choked and died a trillion times in a row.  I'm still getting tripped up on the level 5 boss (eyeball dude) in the second to last form (laser fence dude) so I'm hoping tyler has some super sweet tips.

tyler: any super sweet tips?  also, do you know how you got the 3 mines in a row trophy?  I haven't really dedicated effort to it but I always think that I've done what the trophy says in normal play and no luck.

edit - looks like mpaullin has it too.  WHAT IS YOUR SECRET

They've had 77 years to build up a roster of heroes to throw against any other in the comics. The MCU is not quite 8 years old. Frankly I find it's amazing they've been able to get to that point in less than a decade. Would you rather have fewer heroes fighting that we know and care about, or just throw in random heroes which haven't been properly introduced to the majority of the audience? It also doesn't help that a huge section of their catalog that the general public knows they can't touch because it is controlled by 20th Century Fox.

I've known this for years, but for some reason it doesn't pertain to me... 6 beers or so and then I move on to vodka for the rest of the night... wake up the next day with a slight headache sometimes, but other than that I'm right as rain.

Specifically Iron Man going all pro-registration and everybody just falling into that conflict so quickly. That kind of change just doesn't really work without a lead-in of a movie or three. Shoving the entire conflict into a single film without any buildup just doesn't fit with the world they've attempted to establish. That's been a problem with the movies in general, though--they keep throwing elements in for a single movie and then doing away with them poorly, like with the Black Widow/Hulk thing that came out of nowhere and didn't work at all in Avengers 2.
Vig brought up a good point. More importantly, I don't you need to have 3 movies of buildup to justify a conflict (for an example, watch just about any other movie in the world).

My secret:

dumb luck

Edit: Oh and I beat that final boss last night. Like tyler says below, just get rid of the laser fences as soon as they appear. I've been main'ing the character with the laser who makes it easy to hit them no matter where you are on the screen.

Impressive on Infinity Drive. The layers take WAY too long, I get bored by around 6, so I never even tried for 15 let alone 25.

For that section of the final boss, clear out the laser fences right away. He's annoying because you can't get too close to him or he uses that shield that knocks you down. I've got one word for that entire bossfight though. Coral.

I just got the mine trophy without trying too. I didn't even know it existed.

Enabling the appropriately directioned turn signal is an excellent way to indicate your intention to move your motor vehicle to a new lane assignment, BITCH

- me, driving to work this morning
What drives me the most nuts is when someone is turning and they take fucking forever get into their turn lane or don't even get all the way in the turn lane, and turn half from the driving lane.

Ugh where's the stupid Blogcast? Its their 200th episode so they probably think they have to do something special or some shit, but really nobody really cares about anything they say besides the list of games coming out next week.

Didn't Tony Stark go through something in Age of Ultron that would explain this?

Thanks to Scarlet Witch, he saw a vision of everyone dead; even though it wasn't technically real, it was based on an underlying fear that eventually the Avengers would fight an opponent they couldn't beat. Even though that resulted in Stark and Banner creating Ultron and he was eventually vanquished, the casualties of Sokovia might have affected Stark more than the others. Maybe he sees the whole keep-superheroes-in-check thing in this version of Civil War as a means to keep both civilian and superhero casualties to a minimum?

Sure, it doesn't exactly explain why each hero chooses his/her respective side, but isn't that for the movie to show? Also, who's to say they'll fall into that conflict "so quickly"? We don't know how far into the film that airport fight occurs.
I would say Avengers 2 is enough justification for him to join the pro-registration side.
After all, he had a hand in developing Ultron. His recklessness created something which almost destroyed the world. One day he fears he'll go too far, and the character has such trouble with impulse control, that he desires an outside force to keep himself in check.

Tyler and Zimm, what's the deal with The Bit.Trip's 253-chain trophy (A Reasonable Request)? I easily surpassed that number in VOID but didn't get the trophy.

Yeah and his immediate reaction was to run off and do his own thing without anybody else's input. The only person who knew what he was up to was Bruce--he kept his actions a secret from everybody else. His behavior was completely consistent there with his characterization since Iron Man 1. He's shown over and over again that he doesn't believe there's a higher authority he should abide by. The only way I'd believe him making a complete turnaround from that to "Oh, we should totally have governmental oversight for all super heroes!" is if he was being mentally controlled by somebody else or if he's mentally unbalanced which would show up in other ways as well. It doesn't fit the characterization or narrative of the movieverse at all otherwise.

As a comparison; the comic version of Civil War was covered in over 100 issues. Some were directly in the Civil War series but there were a ton in the associated comics for the different characters that were involved.

We'll see how the movie plays it, but so far my expectations are pretty low on this one. If they'd broken it up into two or three long movies I could see it feeling very rushed but reasonable, but shoving the entire conflict into a single 2-3 hour film just doesn't seem like it could work.

The layers take WAY too long
that ain't no shit. I don't mind too much since I was trying to gather up points to unlock some stuff, but it's got to take 40+ minutes to get down to layer 25 on a good run. that feels unnecessary.

otherwise the game is pretty much everything I wanted and I'm glad it exists. it's a shame it couldn't have been the ps+ game for the month, but broforce does have a trophy for literally punching satan so hard he explodes so I guess it could've been worse.

It is kind of sad I dont get to play Cactus yet since it wasnt free.  But I am sure it will be on a nice and heavy discount sooner or later and I will buy that shit up.

I think Owl made a good point about Stark possibly wanting someone to keep his impulse control (part of his character since Iron Man 1) in check because Age of Ultron may have shown him how that aspect of his could cost many, many lives.

I would just like to say that if you ever have the opportunity to use Consolidated Communications Inc as your internet provider, don't.  There's a reason they have 1.7 stars on google reviews.

It's a good point. I just think they don't have time to cover it in the movie and have it work well at all without Stark appearing completely nutso from such an abrupt change. And if he comes off as nutso then I can't see the other superheros siding with him.

Even then...Superhero Registration has absolutely nothing to do with Stark hiding what he was doing. Everybody knows who Stark is and he still built something that tried to smash a mountain into the planet. So that's a poor rationalization anyway unless they're changing the Civil War plot from registration to heavy and constant oversight.

Therm has low expectations for civil war because he wants it to end with one side brutally murdering everyone on the other side because he thinks that's how all movie conflicts should end.

When has anyone ever thought "this superhero movie sure could use more characters in it"?  And how many times have people thought "this superhero movie sure could use less characters in it.  It's a fucking mess"?

I'm proudly on the anti-therm side of the psnot civil war civil war.

List of local food chains that should go national:

http://www.buzzfeed.com/jessicamisener/wawa-for-life

The Publix fans in there will be happy to see them listed. And yes bring me fucking Bojangles and bring the rest of you Culvers.

Didn't realize Noodles & Company wasn't national. And that Raising Cain's was supposed to be a Louisianna only thing since I know of at least 2 or 3 here in the Twin Cities.
Publix is such an odd one on that list since it is not a restaurant. However, it is awesome.

Where all are you going?

ETA: Lee will be down there for Hunahpu Day since he is OK with paying the crazy ass prices.
No idea yet since someone else is making the plans and I am along for the ride. They said something about Hunahpu Day and acted as if we were going to go but I read more about it and it appears you have to buy expensive tickets for it that are most likely already sold out anyway so whatever.

TLDR: I still have no idea. Dont care. Getting drunk.

Well, I actually prefer Zaxby's to chick-fil-a I think. Mainly because I'd take Zax sauce over anything Chick-fil-a has. But I wouldn't call Chick-fil-a the "best by far", it's not that much better than other places out there if it's even the best.

We have a chain down here that I've only seen in convenience stores that has really good fried chicken with a little spice to it. Krispy Krunchy is the name. Pretty damn good stuff.
Zax sauce is good, but their chicken is not in Chik-Fil-A's league. It is all flimsy and rubbery.

If you have to have sauce on it, it kind of points out that the chicken is not as good doesn't it?

I'm not sure how you get from "I don't think Civil War works in the movieverse" to "They should add more characters and they should all kill each other!" but yeah I guess we're on opposite sides on that one. :whistle2:k

No clue, don't recall having any issues unlocking it.
I don't remember any issues with it either, besides the challenge of it. And yeah I got it in VOID.

But I do believe you have to get it on a normal or above difficulty.

There is no war here though because everyone else agrees that Therm is off base.
