PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

If you have any in your list that are High or Available Now with all lows above it, you can almost guarantee that you will be getting those first. Every once and a while you would get the higher ranked Lows, but I think that was luck of the draw. I assume that as games come in if they are the top of someone else's list then they just get turned around there.

If you only have lows then they almost never send you a fast return. They wait for the game to actually arrive before sending another. I have even had them wait a couple days after receiving one before sending another in those situations.
I really miss the old days with BlockBuster. Finish a game and return it, then grab a new game and start it. All in under 15 minutes.

It's available for me at the library, so remind me - what's the easiest Mega Man in the Mega Man Legacy Collection? I want to play the easiest first so I don't rage quit before I even get started... or at least maybe I won't rage quit before I even get started.
I found the difficulty went down with each release when I replayed the collection in chronological order on the PS2 compilation, so start with 6. But then go back to 1 and go in order so you don't get too used to all the new mechanics.

I really should get that Mega Man Collection at some point. I know I can finish 1 no problem...never really put much time if any into the others.

Definitely not 1.

You can always just save scum it, but don't do that because then you're a filthy save scumming loser.

Also don't use a guide on the boss order, figure it out yourself. It's more fun that way and gives you more practice and time experiencing the levels.

Ditto. I still have the GameCube collections for MM OG and MM X. But never turn on the Wii anymore and trophies.

I could finish all the OG ones, but never made it far in MM X for some reason. Only ended up playing one of those. Wonder if they're worth any money?

Prove it!

1 is such a pain in the ass.
It gets pretty frustrating, especially the disappearing blocks bits, but the only main hangup I originally had with it was that damn dirty yellow teleporting monster asshole. I had no problem using the pause/Electric Man trick to glitch his ass to oblivion.

Just go find a library that has it.

It's just one of those games I played the shit out of as a kid. If you guys get the chance you should also play the PSP version of 1 Powered Up. Fun cartoony art style. I played through and finished that as well when it came out.

The Gamecube versions are both still worth good money. I sold the X collection for a lot.

I could beat MMX easily except for the final boss, who I think I only actually beat one time. Never played much of the later X games, I really hope a remake for that is in the cards as well.

Just checked Amazon and trade values are around $10 for each. But I have the generic GameStop blank cover for MM X so that probably drags down the value significantly. I assume you got your big bucks on the eBay?

Inexplicably, my glitched-but-surviving homefront goliath edition preorder from Amazon got another 20% prime discount added overnight thus making it entirely free. Did anyone keep those re6 or shiren preorders? Just curious if they added another one on to those after we all cancelled.
No, my Shiren order lists it at 31.99 on the order page, no prime discount mentioned.
Oh thank god.
My Shiren updated...

jk...fuck!

Remind me how you use the PSDLE chrome extension? I logged into the store and view my download list, but I'm not seeing the logo appear. I was able to get the paste in "javascript:$.getScript("//repod.github.io/psdle/psdle.js");void(0);" method to work, but I thought the extension was supposed to be automatic. I do have the extension and it is enabled.

$55 for a disc-only version of Mega Man X Gamecube is the cheapest one for sale.

You can always trade it in to TylerStop though, I'll give you $14 TIV!

I never finished any mega man games and never played any of them other than the first.  Surprise Surprise.  I figured out pretty quickly that I dont like having to figure out what levels to do in what order.   JUST TELL ME WHERE TO GO so all I have to worry about is how to beat the level, not that I am not playing the "right" level in the right order.

Which is probably why I dont like the Souls games.  Too much to figure out man.

Don't believe him! That $14 is in credit, not cash. I've got like $300 locked up in TylerStop credit with nothing to spend it on.

At least play MM2 with a boss guide for the awesome music. Then listen go listen to the awesome metal versions this dude did.

with the chrome extension you have to click the little psdle icon in your extension tray before it activates. it's with taper/grease monkey that it automatically pops up. you don't have to be on the download list, just any page on store.playstation.com

The extension adds a blue icon at the top right. Click that and you'll see the PSDLE icon show up in the bottom left. Click that and you'll get the normal PSDLE stuff taking up the top 1/3 of your screen.

Edit: moon'd!

The remastered version of Shadow Complex added a bunch more achievements, hopefully a good sign it will have a full trophy list and a plat.

http://www.exophase.com/game/shadow-complex-remastered-xbox-one/
Those 100% speed runs seem to be the only challenging achievements. Otherwise they padded the achievement list with collect 100% of [insert item] and then for the different endings.

I look forward to playing this again! It's one of my favorite Metroidvania type games next to Guacamelee. I just wish there was a loyalty discount like with Castle Crashers Remastered and Ori Definitive. Both of those are $5 versus the full $15 for this.

I didn't know what an extension tray is in Chrome, but now I see the little blue flag in the address bar. Thanks!

I'm sure I'll forget about it again when I want to do this in a few months....

They updated chrome recently and put all your extensions next to the address bar, if you're like me and hate all that shit you removed 90% of them immediately and they go into a little tray in the menu portion of chrome.

Gamestop sent me an email about Song of the Deep. They specifically mentioned the term Metroidvania, which I don't think I was aware of before.

Traverse a sprawling underwater environment in a submarine built from discarded parts as Merryn, a small girl fiercely determined to find her father and save his life. In Song of the Deep, brought to you by Insomniac Games, you'll explore lost civilizations, make friends in the most unlikely of places, and overcome new challenges as your independence grows. Merryn may find her father, but you'll also encounter heartbreak, joy, and warmth along the way.

Upgrade Your Submarine: Delving deep into the ocean depths demands better equipment. Discover new parts to improve your submersible's ability to dive into unexplored territories and unlock new quests.

Side-Scrolling Action: Where other console games develop three-dimensional worlds, Song of the Deep harkens to a simpler time with its side-scrolling that leans heavily on Metroid style design. The result is an experience that emphasizes linear storytelling.

Become Independent: Merryn's quest is as much about discovering her father's location as it is about becoming independent and conquering loneliness. Her struggle gracefully mirrors what it's like for children everywhere to gain autonomy from their parents.

Use your intelligence, grit, and sheer will to defeat monsters, unearth ruins that may hold clues, and descend ever downward into uncharted territory where only a daughter's love has enough spark to light the way. Song of the Deep is available for all major gaming systems, including Xbox One, Playstation 4, and personal computers.

Song of the Deep Release Date: Summer 2016

I think I'll definitely get this on day one.
Interested in it, although I don't know if I want to reward Gamestop for going into the publishing business.

Had to replace my dualshock 4 today. Got the Uncharted 4 controller. Imagine my disappointment when I opened it that all it is is a light blue color, nothing to identify itself outside of the box itself...

I never posted my thoughts on the Which Wich Grinder last week, so here's my quick synopsis:

Got it on wheat with lettuce, tomato, jalapenos, provolone, oil and vinegar; passed on the caramelized onions this time. Thought it was good. Definitely better than Subway's Italian BMT or Spicy Italian, but I wouldn't rate it above Jimmy John's Vito. I really like Jimmy John's bread, so it will be hard for any sandwich chain to top the Vito.
The one I went to today still listed the fucking superfood sandwich as bag 8, both on the bags and on the display. I ended up next door at Pei Wei and got a pad thai bowl with chicken instead. Throw that superfood shit out. Shit has to be stale, and any dipshits who would have bought it in January, fell off their New Years Resolutions to eat "healthier" last month. Because a wrap with 800 calories, 1870mg of sodium, and 121g of carbs is "superfood".

At least it's not like the Star Wars controller. But, yeah, that is a pretty lame special edition controller. Sony doesn't seem to know how to do special edition controllers. At all.

I dont know, i kinda like that color.

It makes more sense to have that with the uc4 console though as both are the same color

Impressions on The Division:

http://invertedaccess.com/2016/03/16/the-division-thoughts-and-impressions/

Munky and I beat it last night. I thought it was pretty fun, I liked the shooting and really liked the cover mechanics (super easy and not intrusive at all) UI was a bit convoluted and some of the menus could use some sorting options and other things. It's pretty fucking long, and I think it could get really repetitive if you're playing alone. So definitely play with a coop buddy or three to make it a lot more enjoyable.

Dark Zone seems like it could be fun, but I didn't play it much. I was never really interested in it in the first place. I might play a bit more tonight, but I already sold it on Amazon so it'll be gone by tomorrow. I also didn't pay attention to the story at all because munky and I would just be talking over the cutscenes. That seems to happen in most coop games I play.

Feels like I'm so f-ing clsoe to knocking off Tiamat in La Mulana. Can get to her third stage, but I don't have enough health left to close the deal. Super frustrating.

If this post on GAF is to be believed, it doesn't look good for Rime ever coming out:

All this info comes from a source very close to the studio.

First of all, I was told that the reveal trailer was all cinematic. It was faked to mimic gameplay, assets, etc. from a real game but 0% of the game was implemented.

So the real challenge for the studio was to put that vision into the final game. And apparently this has been impossible to achieve.

This words are a direct quote from my source about this news and the studio itself (it contains his personal opinion):

"Sony required about one month ago the DEV KITs to be returned and canceled the fundings into Tequila Works, due of the game had no-sense. Basically there wasn't a game.

This is a consecuence of the bad studio direction, basically Raul Rubio thinks that he is the next Tim Schafer. The truth is that Raul was fired from MercurySteam. The people from MercurySteam speak really bad about him (the main critics are: he has no idea about games, technology and he has crazy ideas without sense). If you add that his wife is the chairman of Tequila Works and looking for info about her you can find this:

You could see that she is public notary in Spain. She hasn't any background making games. The results are, that Rime has no publisher and it is not cancelled due of they got public spanish founds to develop games:

If you take a look into their website and you compare the hellworkers list with the original team from Deadlight , only a couple guys remains from the original team. If all the team has left the studio, you must think that something wrong there is into the top of the company."

I'm a bit sad to be honest since i was there in the first days of the studio (not working).

Interesting. Whether or not that is true (it probably is), it's 100% for sure that Sony is no longer publishing the game. Tequila Works said they reacquired the rights to the IP today.

None of this would surprise me, Tequila Works is the same company that talked their way into a slot on XBLA's Summer of Arcade with the dreadfully mediocre Deadlight.

This actually makes a lot of sense. The trailer was pretty confusing with the constantly-shifting points of view. Real gameplay wouldn't behave the way.
