PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

I loved Madness Returns. If I were you I'd watch a few let's play videos to see if it's looks fun to you. Great story, voice acting, atmosphere, etc. Gameplay is fun and solid; pretty standard though. But for the love of god, don't play the first one... just go ahead and pretend it doesn't exist.
I guess it depends what you want out of the game, Madness Returns is more surreal with more polish and straight forward gameplay / combat. American McGee's is a bit more experimental with its weapons and has more of a horror / nightmare vibe. I really didn't like it in the beginning either but by the 2nd level it gets more tolerable / enjoyable. One thing that helps a lot in it not becoming too frustrating is it offers save states so you can save at any time (even in the middle of boss fights) so once you make it through a difficult part, you can save and not having to worry about getting thrown back to a far away checkpoint if you die.

Project Root, Total Recoil and Bombing Busters for me. ~$5 for 3 shortish vita games seems pretty fair.
who did you use to get the Chain Gang

reach a chain of 1000 achievement in Assault Android Cactus

im guessing you used Starch while sitting in the back of mcdonalds

More Vue observations. If a "recorded" show is listed as "catchup", you can't fast forward, but if it's listed as "DVR", then you can. I can't find a way to say "record this show", so that's confusing. I think maybe if you add it to favorites then it "records", but I have NHL in my list of favorites and they are still showing as catchup and not DVR, so I guess whether or not you can fast forward varies by the network or show. There are also shows that are listed as "on-demand". I haven't tried one of those yet to see if you can fast forward. Picture quality in the recorded shows is the same as for live. Speaking of which...

Picture quality varies. It's not rock solid like Netflix. Most of the time it looks great, but periodically the quality and frame rate drop for a bit. It's frustrating to me, but might not bother others as much.

There are a LOT of restrictions on viewing with the mobile app (iOS). Entire networks are shown as "mobile restricted" and you can't view those on mobile. Others you can. For example, the on-demand ABC/NBC/Fox are all mobile restricted. But you can watch the ESPN channels.

In any case I think I'll pay for a month at the $30 rate so I can watch March Madness on my TV. Then, without MASN, I'm not inclined to pay for it any more, but that's a huge plus - no contract.
Time frame since it aired may also be a factor. When I log in with my cable information to stream from some cable networks or watch something on demand, if it's aired within a week or so it has more commercials.

I know that. I'm saying if you didn't have enough in your wallet to cover the purchase, it used to allow you to make up the difference with a credit card even if it was less than $5.

What was so bad about it? Youtube videos looked cool.
10 billion collectibles maybe? That became a bit of a drag, Though if you are not playing to plat it then that isn't an issue as most of the collectibles are just Easter Eggs (audio logs or concept art), they aren't tied to upgrading weapons or anything needed to make progress.

I always start my McDonalds orders with "I need..."

But I always say thanks 3 times (after ordering, 1st window, 2nd window), sometimes a 4th if I have to pull forward and wait.

The $20 bonus coupon for trading in a Vita is in my PUR account and Gamestop's trade-in value is still $80. I guess I'm doing this thing.
fuckers didn't send me the $20 bonus coupon. Trying to get one from a co worker but he has no idea on how to access his account or anything. He claims he is PUR and has the card. Might just borrow his card and see what happens. Not sure if the coupon will work on my account. I got the $40 coupon for trading in a XBox One or PS4 though.

Nice trade in yesterday for the 80, didnt have pur and didnt wanna wait to see if they dropped the value and then have to worry about begging for that coupon.
I have no shame. If anyone has a coupon they aren't using I would love to try it and see if it works. Last time I did that it DID NOT work though.

Madness Returns is cool. Easily worth the 2 bucks and 10 or so hours of gameplay.

Zimm, munky and I had almost no issues with ydkj online. Worked remarkably well for such an old game, I thought.

Any Badger fans need a new t-shirt?

Weird. Then one of us must have a shitty internet connection. I switched from wireless to LAN cable after the first game, but that didn't seem to make a difference. Thanks for the input though.

A lot of the game trailers guys are back, starting an outlet called easy allies.

They're doing a 12 hours welcome back stream today at noon pacific

I really dislike how there's no status bar or confirmation for when it's recording a show.

You just choose "add and watch later" and then it does. Is it recording? When will it be done? Who knows?

It was doing a lot of one-second pausing during NickToons last night. I guess that's how it buffers.

Got Peggle 2 and Super Stardust Delta. My cart started with 10 items but I showed some restraint for once and got rid of all the stuff I would never play (Monster Monpiece). Also never even looked at the PS3 section.

I know stotch has it, but anyone else looking at or thinking about getting Google Project Fi, its pretty great.

Got phone past thursday and been using it since I got it. Ported number from att prepaid, that part was quick and painless other than having to call att to get account #. Put info in to do the port and it was pretty instantaneous even though says could take 24 hours.

Far as service goes, used to not get any signal in apt but since it uses wifi and mix of tmobile and sprint, havent had a single issue not having a connection. Used around nashville and in clarksville tn yesterday, always had good signal.

The nexus 5x phone is pretty solid, good looking screen, decent build quality. Only issue is coming from the moto g phones is its a little more angular so not quite as comfortable but still not bad.

Im a fan of the google fi.

Also bought an antenna because I'm not some fancy pants Vue watcher.

Still can't get ABC or Fox. Get a million Japanese, Korean, and Armenian (!) channels. Realizing I wasn't missing much without live television either way.

Alice question:

Is there a way to see what collectibles are missing and from what chapter? If there is I may avoid using a guide the first go around.

The snouts and bottles, they will tell you how many you are missing per chapter, but not which ones. The audio logs are stored in a menu so you can relisten to them. With that you can determine exactly which you are missing as they are listed in the order that you grab them with blanks for ones you are missing. Sometimes an audiolog is tied to a snot and/or at the same place as a bottle so that will take care of some of them.

I would at least follow a guide to locate the radula rooms, there are 4 per chapter (except in Ch.1, for a total of 16), and every 4 you complete add another tick to your HP bar. Getting all of them is a trophy requirement.

ok, cool. So if I go back for snouts or bottles later, do they save when you pick them up or will I have to replay the entire chapter?

I believe they save when you pick them up.

There are several starting points you can jump into a chapter if you have completed it, you don't have to start from the beginning. Do keep in mind, if you are in the middle of a chapter and jump back to play a different chapter, you will lose your place in the current chapter. Only jump back if you are between chapters.

Deadlight, the game I was saying was terribly mediocre (by the same developer that is "making" Rime) is coming to PS4.

I saw Bloodborne was $8.99 in a Redbox used game sale this week.

How do those work again?  And didn't some of y'all get empty cases or wrong games when you tried to buy them during an earlier big sale?

Nevermind. A coworker printed their coupon and it worked fine for me. Bought Amazon GCs with it and ordered a Black Slim from them.

Was tempted to order an imported one in a different color but decided I was too cheap to pay a few bucks extra for that.

$68 for a new battery and supposedly more comfortable to hold isn't too bad. I will see if my case works if not I will have to order one from Amazon.

More or less held strong through another Flash Sale. Only got Giana Sisters. Not that there weren't good deals to be had, I just owned most of them already. Sorry Bomb Busters and Project Root, you'll just have to tempt me next time around.

Grabbed Bloodborne again. Probably end up reselling it again.

I'm 5 for 5 on redbox games, got 3 copies of RE Rev 2 and 2 copies of Bloodborne now. All of them have worked fine, no fake papers or anything like that.

I'm rather hoping that Hitman GO did well enough that we'll get this as well:

Looks like there's a lot more to it than Hitman GO had.
