I wasn't always the biggest fan of his, but his quirks work well in this roll.

And for what it's worth, the thing you mention didn't feel shoehorned in to me.

This isnt a valid complaint since there are many games that do this at startup and all GTA games do it. Of course Rockstar works hard to keep load times to near 0 once the game starts and thats where Just Cause wasnt up to snuff. But overall most load times were quick. It was just those one or two that everyone got hung up on.

It just boils down to the type of game you want and like to play. I can deal with some slow down and load times on a game that has lots of action, but fuck games like Sam and Max that have no excuse for any of that.
The only GTA I've played is V and that was more than a year ago, so I'm not used to such long load times for starting a game.

That initial loadtime also just felt way too long for some reason, even if it really wasn't much longer than a minute.

True story:  the only reason I played Just Cause 2 on release is because it had a free 30 minute demo you could download.  I think it was one of the first on plus like that?  Anyway, I tried playing it once or twice for a bit and didnt like it at first.  Then I tried it one last time and it clicked and I couldnt get enough.

I made plans to buy it and really started looking at CAG a lot around that time.  Toys R Us had some deal when buying it and another game or something there was a heavy discount.  But TRU fuck ed up and allowed you to return the other game and keep Just Cause for like $20.  I did that and felt bad immediately and never did something like that again.  I played the shit out of JC2 though.  75 hour plat hype!

Hey guys look:                                                      PLAT #4

Yes it really took me 3.5 months. I started it and wasn't really sure about the game...didn't think I liked it. I was playing it very piece meal (obviously). Once I got through the first playthrough I realize what a great game it was and wanted to keep going. The hardest part of the game for the Platinum were the Who Knows Where wave challenges but I did the last 2 on the first go. Plat #4. :)

my boss might be michael scott.  he just went on a long, long tirade about how The Rock didn't get nominated for an oscar because of white privilege in the elitest hollywood scene.  he then went on to talk about how unfair it is that his daughter didn't get an oscar because 'she's smokin'.

oh yeah, zimm hit me up for some injustice action if we're ever both awake and playing at the same time.  I can help you pick up some of those piss easy mp trophies.

...what? I can't find anything about The Rock's daughter being an actress. :whistle2:k

...Does your boss think The Rock should've gotten an oscar nomination for San Andreas? And that Alexandra Daddario should've gotten an oscar for being hot?

I hope he predicts the Baywatch movie will sweep the next oscars.

FFXV now takes 50+ hours to beat the main story. Still not running at 30fps.

Do you guys still care about FF? Just an honest question not a douchey one. It just seems like Final Fantasy might need to have it's Final Fantasy at this point. I guess this one could re-invigorate the series if it's good, was the demo generally well received? I guess it doesn't help things that these games are taking an inordinate amount of time to be made.

I don't know about an oscar, but that chick should get some sort of award for being hot. Dat True Detective nudity...

Ugh, trying to book my flight and hotel to NY and of course our internal booking site sucks and wont fuck ing book this shit.  I cant seem to add my corporate card.

I could just buy shit on my own and doing my own research I would be able to save the bank money, but NO, they wont allow it.  Stupid corporate bureaucracy strikes again!

Not really. I know some people in here are looking forward to FF XV, though, so I posted it.

Alexandra Daddario is shit hotter than Margot Robbie!  Those BLUE EYES are MESMERIZING.

Oh yeah, new avatar is from that scene in True Detective!  So hot.

You guys have me so wrong on this one. JC2 hasnt aged well. A lot of action games dont. Look at Stotch and Uncharted. I tried playing JC2 a bit before JC3 came out and it wasnt nearly as nice to look at as I remembered and was slow like Mild said.

I played JC2 when it released and at the time there was nothing like it and based on PS3 hardware it ran fine. Yeah it had load times but not in game. And the frame rate might have been lower than 30fps I guess but it was consistent.

Once I played JC3 I knew JC2 would be terrible by comparison, even with the framerate and load issues. Its much prettier and faster.

TLDR: I always tell you guys to play game series in order and JC2 is another prime example why.
I feel that none of the Resident Evil games have aged well, even the new releases. Let me run and shoot for gods sake!

I think the new one looks pretty good. I didn't get all the way through the demo, but I liked what I saw. I think I've still got it downloaded, need to get back to it at some point.

Does she know how to smile though? I'm not sure.
She must not like her teeth, but your right, i only see a handful of pics of her actually smiling on the first page of google images. honestly its kind of hot that she just smirks. Plus I dont like to and have a hard time actually smiling and showing my teeth too so we are soul mates!

hotter without the smile.  Is it me...or are those saucer nipples?  Maybe some tape covering them...

I prefer her with the smile. She has that same weird look as the woman from "Bones" in that her sultry look ends up looking like she just found out she has cancer.

So hypothetical:

Suppose you had a great couple of interviews for a great new job that's a move forward instead of a move sideways like recent job switches and at a fun place that likes drinking and has a Frogger machine in their lunchroom and has actual paid holidays off and other fun things.  And suppose that place emailed you and said they loved you and would love for you to join their team.  And suppose you then talked to an HR guy who said they'd email the offer over to you so you can get started on all your two-weeks stuff.  And suppose that offer email doesn't come before the end of that day.  Or even the morning of the next day.

How long would someone wait to email them back asking about said offer email without sounding like a "where's my goddamn shit" rage boy?

Early afternoon of that 2nd day.

Make sure the email you send says how excited you are about the opportunity with them and you cant wait to hear back.

it's an HR guy, they can handle it. drop him a line and say that you're just making sure everything's still moving forward and ask if he needs any additional information from you.

That would depend on when the talk with the HR person happened and how fast the company is growing. Rule of thumb, I would likely wait until around mid-day following an entire business day after that conversation. If it is a company where they are hiring 100 people in the short term then possibly a bit longer.

Phone conversation saying they were gonna email the offer happened at 1:30pm yesterday.  So I was gonna wait until at least then to email an inquiry.  But the waiting is bumping up my anxiety.  I don't think its a major hiring rush right now.

I mean, hypothetically.

I'd wait at least a full business day before following up. If this is going on right now, and you're on day one of waiting, I might wait and follow up late thrusday/early friday morning so it's one of the first things they see. And again on early Monday if you don't hear back.

Also, are you 100% sure the offer stuff was going to be email? I thought they usually snail mailed that stuff. Admittedly, it has been a long time since I switched jobs by any means other than a buy-out.
