Salt and sanctuary looks cool and since it's 2d I figure it might be quicker to restart if I die etc. I may look into trying it when it's cheap.  I always wanted to get into Souls since they have cool atmosphere, so this may be the ticket...

Yeah a bunch of people said it worked if you used paypal, so that's what I did. Oh well if it doesn't go through. I emailed them to ask about it so we'll see what they say.

It's a lot more accessible than Demon's Souls. I'm not sure how it compares to the others since that's the only Souls game I've played. S&S clicked immediately for me.

Respawn is quick. You croak, you get a message stating if any of your salt was permanently lost (salt is your experience in the game and is what you use to purchase level upgrades), if you dropped any salt (you have one life to recover your salt after dying), and then you see a short clip of some dude dragging you to the nearest sanctuary point. Boom, you're back in business, total time is about 5 seconds.

That Fenix Rage game is finally coming out, huh? Checking out gameplay videos again, it looks good, but not meatboy good. May pick up on a sale at some point. Chronicles of Teddy looks like it might be cool. Could only find a little bit of info about it, though.

I only booted it up for a few minutes after buying it, so can't say much. When I first tried playing it would bring up the splash screen then crash to the main PS4 menu after a few seconds. Happened like 5 times in a row. I turned the console off and on then it worked. The little bit I played was hit and miss. I can't tell if its just dated, but the outdoor environment looked really janky. Like everything more than a certain distance away was really blurry. I thought maybe there was a weird option I needed to turn off like in the PS2 GTA games (trails or whatever), but no dice. Indoor environments looked fine.

Or when we had that fighting game streak a few years ago.

The times I mainly get annoyed is when I already own 80%+ of the PS+ line-up or when they get cheap and only make one one of the console versions free when it is available on at least one of the other two. For every generous move like Dragon's Crown there's a half dozen of Flame Over, Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, Sonic Racing Transformed. MGS V: Ground Zeroes, Never Alone, etc.

We have a lot less people in our buildings today but still a good amount since the bank is actually open. Stupid Fed stays open even though all the actual markets are closed. But I love it because I can do even less work than normal today (can you work less than nothing?) and bullshit with everyone out in the open.

Needless to say we are going to Winghouse for a two hour lunch today. Surprisingly all of us have really enjoyed their food lately. They actually have a really good meatloaf sandwich and club sandwich. Their wings are the least enjoyable item on their menu!

Most probably wouldn't tattle, 90% of the time they don't even really realize I'm here. But there's a couple busybodies around who'd take note of me coming and going at 'odd times' and might mention it if it were ever brought up. As far as them all being gone today, I think their company just gave everyone the day off. They're also mostly federal business so they get all the federal holidays, and since they're nonprofit with an oddly specialized workforce, they also get a couple other random ones for no real reason other than they can.

 
I still don't get why so much shit is closed today. You don't even do anything on good Friday except for fast and not eat meat. Why would you wanna stay home all day just to not pig out on slim Jim's?
 
Not intentional, but I'll be having fish for lunch. I noticed a new place opened called sumo burrito, which is apparently sushi rolls made into a burrito or something. Can't not give that a try.

Britain, India and the Philipines are shut down today for Good Friday. We are the only country where it isnt an official public/govt holiday!

 
My kids' daycare is closed for Good Friday and I work from home on Fridays. For the amount of money I'm paying that daycare should be opened on weekends and holidays. So I'm sitting here trying to work while my mother-in-law watches them. It's not the worst thing but I'm not gonna be able to slack off and play games like a normal Friday.

It's not a federal holiday but many states celebrate it, Tennessee included. The wife works for DCS so she gets to lounge around. She gets a lot more holidays than I do.

Private business here. We get the 6 main Holidays and not much else. New Years Day, Memorial, Labor, 4th of July, Thanksgiving (and the Friday after if not the last business day of the month), and Christmas. Usually get two days for Christmas as well.

This year I guess with Christmas being on the weekend they gave us another PTO day to use.

We will get out at 4pm today (office usually closes at 6 but I work till 5).

I like that normally you'd slack off and play games, but since your kids are home you had your mother-in-law come over to watch them. but since you did that you can't slack off and play games because otherwise your mother-in-law would be all 'why did you have me come over here if you're not actually working?' good friday ruins everything!

yeah, when I say govt im talking federal since those are the ones that everyone "celebrates". and yeah, individual state and county govts can "celebrate" whatever they want. Thats why my kid is off from school today as the county takes the day off.

Its also a lot tougher than I thought it would be.  I have actually died a few times when I dont pay attention.  It isnt hard really, I just thought I could slack off more on it than you actually can.  Its a fun little game though. 99 cents!

Just checked out the trophy list for Galak-Z. Interesting that there's a gold for unlocking all trophies but there's no trophy for season five. Not sure if they'll add trophies when it releases or just leave it as-is. Can they even change the gold requirements so that the gold requires the season five trophies? :whistle2:k

Yeah, its kinda dumb. But extenuating circumstances are definitely at factor here. My boss used to work for that company before starting his own. He still consults for them fairly regularly, and we work with them directly on occasion. He's got the ear of the CEO and can still be considered a fairly large player in some of their business development without even working there. Obviously some people get caught up on that. I'm just the office kid, so if the annoying ones feel like tattling they think they can get on my bosses good side for the week if they've been annoying him recently or something.

Also how quickly they forget how often GWG used to repeat 2 or 3 months in a row. I think PS+ has only done that once or twice when a version comes out for a different console (Limbo and Guacamelee Turbo I think are the only ones).

my guess is that they can definitely change the in-game requirements for a trophy with a patch (i.e. if something requires 500 kills they could make it pop at 5) but they can't change the trophy list or descriptions once they're posted.

I just checked because I remembered the King's Quest didn't have an entire list when the first episode came out. Looks like they're treating each additional chapter as DLC. Maybe Galak-Z will take the same approach.
