This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

See this POST for links to store sale pages, threads of interest and other tools to help you become a more informed PC game shopper.

Anyone else get an invoice from "Future Group"?  Looks like its from the free Dark Souls promo.  Had the price of the game but the total was 0.00.

Just thought it was weird that they'd send those out after so long.

I sure hope that Steam adds a filter for VR crap soon. Or better yet just filters it automatically. :fridge:
WAZZAMATTA WARREN DON'T U WANNA VIVE (SPANISH FOR LIVE)!?!?!?!?

Sure hope their think tank got a bonus from that ingenious name!

Today marks the official launch of the HTC Vive.

Place your bets: what are the odds of a Steam Sale starting today on VR games...?

I'm thinking 60% chance.
You're half right. There's tons of VR crap on the front page but I sure as fuck wouldn't call it a "sale".

Also, the banner represents the problem with advertising VR -- you can't show the effect without the equipment but you sure can't make it look cool by showing someone else IN the equipment.

from nuvvem for about 6.87 us?

don't u love it when developer shows game trailer that have NOTHING to do with the gameplay and it gives us NOTHING about the game at all? So what's this Enter the Dungeon game.. from the trailer, it looks like it is First Person Shooter.. or is it an interactive animated medium like Dragon's Lair? :D/

Amen, I hate that shit. My money is on point-and-click.

"Enter the Gungeon takes the dungeons of Zelda, and combines them with the gunplay and difficulty of Nuclear Throne"

Seems like the best way to describe it.

I've had a review copy for 2 weeks. The marketing for the game is silly no argument, but the game itself is absolutely awesome.

It's a top down shooter rogue-like. Its got a Zelda/Nuclear Throne type of mix to it (whoever said that was dead on) with the goal being to go through the dungeons get all sorts of guns and defeat the bosses. Theres a handful of characters to choose from each with their own story. Its absolutely hard as nails once you get out of the first dungeon. I really enjoy it and as of today its Indie Game of the Year Candidate. Its at the right MSRP price point, but obviously can be had cheaper and since its Devolver its bundle bound at some point. My guess is a Humble Monthly nearer the end of the year.

The amount of guns is crazy and some of them are silly/creative with what they do. Since its a rogue like everything is random and it takes skill to get good at the game. I played it pretty much religiously for the first week to 10 days and got as far as the 3rd dungeon. Then I got sidetracked in other games, but I'm going to be playing it regularly going forward.

I've had my eye on Enter the Gungeon for a while so I just fakeybro'd it from Nuuvem.  :D/

Use code BEMVINDO10 and get 10% off (thanks to reddit), which knocks it down to ~$6.17 before using PayPal and ~$6.33 afterwards.

58% off on its release to me is an easy decision, but yeah, Devolver Digital and all that...

Of note for Devolver Digital, don't they publish Bro Force?  I feel like if this Gungeon game goes the indie darling route then DD will be slower to discount or bundle.  But if it just sort of ends up another so so indie then yes, it will be bundled soon.

Yes they do.

I don't expect it to be bundled until fall-ish at the earliest in a monthly or at least the same amount of time it took Nuclear Throne on the shorter end (3 months). 3-6 is a good bet. If you plan on playing it now, can do a lot worse with $6.

You mean the one consoletards want $30-$40 to sell a Win10 key they got free?
Nothing wrong with wanting around $30 I think. One person gets their Xbone version and another gets the PC version with each paying half price. A fellow CAG has offered to sell me his Win10 key when he receives it for $25 which I think is a fair deal.

If Microsoft had any sense they would've made you enter a code in your XBLA account to forcefully tie the digital copy to your account.

But no, they didn't, and people are going to profit from selling a broken-ass PC port.

Well they're going to try thinking they can get their Xbone game for half price or less by selling off a god damned Windows 10 key for too much. But once the few morans willing to pay that for a Win10 key are exhausted, I think they will find at least around here there are more sellers than buyers at the prices they are asking.

I doubt most CAG users will be willing to pay that much for a broken game.

eBay users, on the other hand...

whatever. People would buy shit in a box on eBay.

Hmm, maybe Poopees should start selling their bundles there.
Only if they include a hilarious joke of selling 2 copies of Bad Rats in a bundle like they're being ever so clever, despite the fact that Bad Rats is now a better-than-average inclusion in any of their bundles.

I was about to say "In all but their marquee bundles", but honestly I don't they they even have such a thing anymore.

I'm just going to buy the XBONE game, use the code, and then return it and say there was something wrong with it and exchange it.  Then I'm going to return the exchanged copy for my money back.  #BOSSLIFE  #CONSOLELIFE #GOLDENCRISPLIFE
