PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

To be fair, that only means the trophies themselves will be identical and doesn't outright state that they'll share a list.
I know. That's why I said it's hard to tell what they mean there--it wasn't a sarcastic statement. The other two games clearly specify new, separate lists.

Awesome start for the Braves. Their shiny new CF pulls a hammy 3 games in, goes on the disabled list. The only relief pitcher that has been reliable this season fractures his elbow while throwing a pitch 5 games in. One of their top prospects gets called up to fill in in CF, doesn't even get a full game in because he slashed his eye open with his own helmet while trying to steal second base. 0-6 start. Yay.
That last bit reminds me that yesterday I somehow cut my arm taking a walk.

Actually this doesn't look bad. Jaggies are definitely on display at a level the PS4 version doesn't show but this off-screen video looks tons better than the direct capture stuff I was able to find before. What are your thoughts on it, Vig?

Played a bit more AC: China last night. Not sure why it didn't click at all on the first attempt but on the second I was enjoying it. I think I'll grab the Vita trilogy once there's a decent price on it. The graphics are clearly downgraded on the Vita, though, which is a surprise considering the fairly basic graphics on the PS4 version.
They probably had to downgrade the graphics to get all three games to fit on one cartridge.

I'll probably finish up the AC: China trophies today and start up India later. So far the game is a pleasant surprise and not the huge disappointment that reviews seemed to imply.

See my last post. There are some graphical glitches occasionally--textures fading in-and-out, the outside of an enter-able building not appearing right away when you're climbing it--but I didn't buy it for the graphics.

Ran into some glitches like that with BttF PS4; a couple of items the characters handled turned invisible, so they were just waving their arms in the air instead of motioning with a newspaper or whatever. It was odd. Not sure if that was a bug from the original version or not but I was surprised to find that the game worked much better than Telltale average until I came across that.

Its really interesting going out for drinks with people you dont normally hang out with or talk to much.  You learn a lot about people that you never knew before.  A LOT.  Very interesting details about all kinds of people in the office.

Bank error in my favor for once, I got another MLB preorder bonus from Best Buy. One of the packs gave me Justin Upton.

Someone photoshop a best buy logo or something on that.

Buffalo Trace whiskey is really good for a well too.  $3.50 during happy hour at Fly Bar is a great deal.  Place was pretty damn crowded for a Monday too!

I need to try Buffalo Trace. They make the Pappy Van Winkle line that I love so much, but their regular label is not a wheat bourbon so I have tended to go to other options in the past. I have had quite a few beers from their barrels that have been excellent so I assume I would like it.

Just heard about how Pappy is so hard to get and the reseller prices can get up into a couple grand. Now I want to try some, but not at those prices.

The bottle I got was a few years ago. It cost $140. Only after we opened it did we find out it was the last year of the bourbon actually made at the originally distillery. I have purposefully not gone to look at what that would fetch if it were not opened.

ETA: Try Weller's wheated bourbon. It is pretty close in taste, but just not as complex. It runs around $10-$15.

To be clear, I am far from a bourbon/whiskey expert.  I dont notice the difference in tastes from one to the other much.  I can only really tell the difference in smoothness or bite.  Buffalo Trace is smooth and sweet so I liked it.

Missed one annoying and completely inconsequential side quest in Salty Sanctuary, so I would need to play through about half the game again to pick up that bronze and get the Plat. Pretty annoying, definitely an argument for reviewing a guide, at least for missable trophies, before starting up a game.

So Stories is basically done in a CYA format. You get a little intro bit in order to give you some background on the main character and show you how the game mechanics work and then the game presents you with a choice on what you'd like to do next. There's an additional set of 2-3 choices as you progress and each decision has a big impact on how things play out. When you finish the game the first time and get the option to continue it takes you back to that first choice and let's you go again from there, with the option you chose last time marked IIRC. I'm hoping that if an entire branch of options is exhausted it will indicate this in some way in order to help people navigate the choices that are left. We'll see. My first and second runs went very differently, story-wise, so the CYA aspect isn't just a slight cosmetic difference.

For gameplay...imagine Bastion with (basically) only one weapon but featuring combos and counters and grabs and stuff. Most enemies are standard melee, with some adding a shield (which there are a few ways to deal with) and there are some bomb type enemies and also mages for ranged attacks. You definitely need to use your hook shot to pull enemies to you or dash in order to handle the crowds without getting clobbered a bit by the various enemy types. It's not as developed as the Batman or SoM combat system but it is more complex than I recall Bastion being. I'm only two runs in but the second added more enemy variety and a noticeable amount of difficulty so hopefully the fighting system will develop further.

So far I'm enjoying it quite a bit.
Sounds pretty unique. I'll be streaming it tonight if anyone wants to see it in action.

If a trophy guide doesn't completely spoil a game, it can be worth browsing for potential missables.

People who were looking to trade stuff in: That division coupon is starting to hit other accounts today. I got mine this morning.

Jesus you assholes talk a lot.

Through four and a half sets of trials on Peggle 2, leaving me just a shit ton of objectives to finish for the plat.

I have a 50% tiv bonus and 20% off a used game at gamestop and ~$60-70 in credit.  But I have nothing I want to buy and nothing to trade in.  My life is terrible.

Neat. $40 for far cry primal. Play a bit more for noe and trade it when best buy opens up.

Lego Harry Pottery 5-7 Vita is also $5. Anybody play that one? How was it? The guide indicates some dueling component is the biggest grind. You need to do a bunch of these, apparently:
