PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

I decided to stream for a bit, but too late, it's over. I wasn't talking on it anyway. #socialanxiety Figured maybe I'd do some streaming without talking and then maybe eventually I'll do some while talking. Though I'm skeptical that I can actually play a game and respond to comments at the same time anyway.

Was Enter the Gungeon. Had some bad runs and then finally had some good ones. Killed the 2nd boss but didn't last long on the 3rd floor. I did unlock another "shop" in the breach. Not really a shop. A couple that sends me off to kill a certain number of enemies. First request is
200 bullet kin

Was anyone here happening to be watching? I had one viewer for the whole time and a 2nd person popped in a few times, or maybe two other people.

Game isn't BL2. I am playing BL2 again on XBox one. There at least you don't have to install TPS so I didn't.

Doubt you need my help with anything but if you do let me know. I think there a co-op related trophy or two.

I still have it installed on my PS4 I think.
So far it seems ok. The oxygen mechanic is weird. I also don't like how it feels like I'm ice skating everywhere. Everything else just feels like more of the same.

I wasn't crazy about the level design. The Oxygen thing isn't as much of an issue later on in the game. Also didn't care for the ice skating effect.

I think level / map design was the biggest issue for me.

I play BL2 a lot. Really no desire to play TPS at all. Will likely never play it again other then help someone. I do have to play the 2 DLCs if Kilik ever gets a house.

Finished the 4 main episodes of Hatoful Boyfriend: Holiday Star, now I have the 12 short stories and 6 "radio episodes" (whatever those are) left to play.

I wasn't quite sure what to expect with the holiday theme, but in true HB form, it isn't what you expect. The first two episodes are mostly stand-alone tales, one set at Christmas and the other one near New Year's Eve, and the last 2 episodes form a longer two-parter which lightly reference new characters and information introduced in the first game and the other 2 episodes. Episode 1 follows the tropes of a mystery story, episode 2 follows the tropes of a super hero story, and Episode 3+4 is a bit of a dark fairy tale.

From what I've seen I don't think I could recommend it as a blind buy at $5 before playing the first game. If you like the first game and enjoy your time with the side characters, then you will likely enjoy Holiday Star as it is new stories with one of the 3 of the more enjoyable side characters from the first game at the center of each episode.  The main tale (the fairy tale) isn't as strong as the main tale of the first game though, but still pretty good.

There also aren't branching paths, there are a few multiple choices but those either only give a little extra dialogue and don't affect the story at all, or cause a game over if you make the wrong choice. These game over choices either touch on information learned in the first game or depend on you paying attention to events earlier in the episode, like the power activation phrase of an anime superhero mentioned earlier during a TV program. You can save at any time, and the game usually gives you a heads up that a multiple choice is coming so that you can do a save before you get to that screen.

Game performance on the vita is better this time, no crashes and only one piece of garbled music played during one scene of one of the episodes. It is crossbuy and cross save with the PS4 version. I'll try to finish the rest this weekend so people can have the most informed opinion about whether to purchase both.

FYI, the second game just assumes you have played the first game to conclusion and seen every character ending so you will be quite lost storywise if you haven't 100%'ed HB1.

One more speedrun in Mirror's Edge and I pretty much have the platinum. They haven't been too hard, but the last one I have is the longest (and maybe the hardest) so we'll see. Even looking at world record videos there are some tricks that don't require a shit ton of practice that you can use to save a lot of time. Then I just need to run through hard mode which shouldn't be too bad since I can actually shoot everyone now and I think the speedruns are set to hard difficulty because you die way too fast from gunfire. Also have the time trials but for the plat you only need 50 out of the 99 available stars (90 if you want 100%) and most the non-DLC trials are from the actual levels and stuff you do in the speedruns. Super fun game except for the parts where you actually do have to fight stuff, but there are only like 2 sections in the game where combat is required.

I cant believe no one mentioned that Taco Bell brought back the Beefy Crunch Burrito.  Sounds like I need to make a run for the border tonight.  $2 dinner?  Sold!

The morons at my local TB couldn't find the Gordita Supreme on their menu on Sunday. I gave up and ordered it from the phone app while waiting for the rest of my order. I think they used to have both Chicken and Beef version of this but seems the chicken one is no more.

I was like I got it last week here in this very store.

Morons.

I had lunch at McDonalds because I had a game piece for a free QPC (tm) and another for a medium fry. For a few days since getting that I was WTF is a QPC? Finally I realized what it was. Probably should have slapped my forehead.

So, awful lunch, but it was free except for a soda. I win?

Um, sounds like a great lunch to me! I also had to google QPC just now!

The app lets you substitute the meat, so you coulda put chicken or steak on it if you wanted to.

Hmmmm... why do I get the feeling that I'm somehow less of a gamer/human being for thinking that Tokyo Jungle isn't that bad... maybe a little fun even?  Think I'll go back to RE4...

Not saying that they're not morons, but I am almost 100% certain that you ingested an employee's one of many possible bodily fluids by finishing that meal.

Great more traffic. 3 State troopers flew buy while I was waiting for food. I might have to eat the Baklava before I get home.

#fucktraffic

I thought everybody liked tokyo jungle.
I don't know... something just seems off about it. It's really weird for me to think that I just said I was having some fun with it because after playing it the last couple of hours since that post it's starting to quickly stale.

I understand why they went with the arcade permadeath, but after several runs I don't have any desire to keep at it. There's not really much skill to it and there's a degree of luck in place with how animals are spaced out for food, what items the game decides to throw your way, quality of mates provided, etc. And every run I feel like I'm trudging through the first 10-15 min because it's always the same. Fun at first but it's already starting to wear thin for me.

I was really into it when I was playing and wanted to unlock all the animals. A couple runs with the cow quickly changed my mind on that.

Jimbo, did you feel like TPS just seems a lot slower than BL2? I don't know what it is, but everything just feels sluggish to me, like I'm moving at 75% normal speed.

Got some New Belgium Abbey (Belgian style dubbel ale) and Ballast Point Dorado (double IPA) and a visit to Surly for the Ghostbusters pinball release party tomorrow. Good beer weekend for me.

Mets just put up 12 runs in the third against the Giants capped off by a Cespedes grand slam.  Still only 1 out.  Most runs they've scored in an inning ever.

Somehow I have 89 golden keys in this game. Wtf?
Some loyalty bonus for playing it on PS3 I think. Did you bring you character over? I got the same on PS4. Got nothing on XBoner since I couldn't find my saves from 360.

There is a level 13 or something mission. Not sure if you can replay it later or if it will show as completed. That one you need to do with 4 people. Kilik and I have it TPS. I think Sage and Therm do as well. If we need a 4th I can probably dig someone up.
