I should know better but am tempted by the Star Wars Battlefront Ultimate Edition for $77; it will certainly be cheaper but that feels more within reason for the game + season pass.  The season pass feels inflated at $50 to begin with.  Can anyone recommend or discourage Battlefront + Season Pass for $77?  The drawback is that I know it'll certainly be cheaper in the future (thinking around Fall).

Well only 1 DLC is out right now and it's 14.99

So technically buying the 30 dollar base game, you could by 3 DLC packs of 14.99 individually and you would only be spending 75.

I plan on buying the season pass when it's on sale and more of the DLC is out so I can decide if it's worth spending money on

As of now ultimate bundle is stupid since you're paying more money when buying piecemeal what's out now costs 45 bucks

Can't decide whether to bite on Gravity Rush and Lost Dimension - do you guys think they'll drop lower (esp. Gravity Rush, when the sequel comes out)? I've already got a pretty massive backlog, so it wouldn't hurt to hold off for a price drop...

I ended up getting a Gravity rush physical copy since it was on sale for $21 on Amazon and trade in price is $11. I'm sure it will be cheaper closer to the launch of 2.

Picked up the Star Wars Force Unleashed games. Used copy of 1, around $6, then 2 digital  $5. Not bad for a series that got the B tier game reviews. I miss the B tier games, they went down with THQ. (I really want Darksiders 3 and 4, I loved those games, fun dumb action and puzzles. I don't think the deathinitive PS4 port of 2 sold too well, which is a shame, it wasn't a straight port, updated character models, better lighting, higher textures).

Edit: I was hoping more PS2 for PS4 games this week, they're trickling out like Nintendo Virtual Console games.

Good purchase! The Battlefront season pass will more likely be on sale (like the Battlefield series) after all of the DLCs come out, which is not till 1st quarter 2017.

They have no competition. Their only competitors are the physical market and Amazon's price matching. Like I said weeks ago, if more digital outlets started selling PS digital games and having decent sales then Sony would be obliged to come up with better discounts. However, I don't see that happening anytime soon.

It's pretty dumb that they have the ONE dlc for TFU2 on sale (half price of a whopping $1) but NONE of the THREE TFU1 dlcs. Wtf?!

I'm not sure what I'm more confused by? EA not trying to cash in with dlc on the sequel or the fact that they had a dlc that only cost a buck and had trophies.

The Golden Week sale wasn't that great either, but sure enough a lot of people bought plenty the last few days of the sale so Sony has no reason to do anything differently.

Those were mostly third-party games, so the onus is on them for whatever perceived issues you have with the prices.

You get five versions of each pack as long as you don't buy it on PS4, which is why I don't link to the PS4 versions above.

You get the tables for the standalone Star Wars Pinball platform on PS3 and Vita along with the Zen Pinball 2 platform for PS4, PS3, and Vita. Five sets of each table with their own unique set of trophies.

I think that like most rogue adjacent things a lot of that's just the randomness. Getting the wrong combination of items and enemies can certainly do you in very, very quickly and it can take some time to get used to the mechanics and patterns of the enemies. Once you get that down though I found it very skill driven and mostly down to me panicking when something bad happened.

Pinball games can be fun but playing them on a console loses some of the nuance you'd have from a real table, especially in terms of flipper control. As I said though, they are pretty fun anyway.

Can't decide whether to bite on Gravity Rush and Lost Dimension - do you guys think they'll drop lower (esp. Gravity Rush, when the sequel comes out)? I've already got a pretty massive backlog, so it wouldn't hurt to hold off for a price drop...

They have no competition. Their only competitors are the physical market and Amazon's price matching. Like I said weeks ago, if more digital outlets started selling PS digital games and having decent sales then Sony would be obliged to come up with better discounts. However, I don't see that happening anytime soon.

well there is steam/humblebundle and live/eshop which occasionally carry the same titles but cheaper. neptunias, ffs, hatoful boyfriend among others were cheaper on steam an such actually the same time as the golden week sale. but yeah they have been offering less and less good deals within the last few years. same with amazon.
