Oh I know why you guys do it. I just want the damned cards and don't love the idea of idling for someone else when I'm already idling practically 24/7 for myself at this point.

 
I could post about my experience with DOOM since I was gifted it but I couldn't really prove to anyone I really have it in the first place because it's glitched for everyone and not appearing on their profiles. I can tell you it runs really well for me smooth as silk 1920x1080 on high 60fps with my gtx 770. The controls are quite responsive. The single player campaign is fun and isn't bogged down with endless cinematics. The levels are quite expansive when compared with Doom 3. It may be eye rolly to say this but it really feels like a more modern take on the original Doom formula than 3 ever was. Not that I didn't like Doom 3.

If you already bought it, is the map editor available right now and if it is have you tried it? Kind of tempted to get it on PC because everyone has been comparing it as a poor version of Halo 5 on PC for MP but I'd be interested in it primarily for the map editor.

Yeah Snapmap is available but I haven't tried it yet been mostly playing the single player campaign.

I messed around the map editor last night, its pretty nice. You just need to learn ~5 keyboard shortcuts and your good to go. They have 5 basic tutorials built in, and then a whole advanced section where you try to meet some map building objective, so they even turned map building into a game itself

Its very slick, it easily flies from a blueprint mode down to 3d-isometric view to inside the room all with shortcut keys. Pop-up menus for lights, sound, objects, logic blocks so you can tie events together just by drag n drop

You also earn snapcredits, or whatever they call them, for doing various things in the editor and for having people play and download your published maps. You can use those to immediately unlock things in the rest of the game that would usually be earned by playing MP modes

MP is bad, SP is good (but super repetitive, like all Doom's). Super fast paced, nice FPS, but everything looks like a toy (in my opinion)

That's cool. I'm really looking forward to reading some journalist reviews for the Doom campaign. It always stinks when there's little info available during release date. Especially when you're considering buying one of the collector versions.

Uncharted on Steam? I take that with a grain of salt. Sony knows Uncharted is a console seller so I'm pretty sure it's willing to pay a premium to keep it as a playstation exclusive for a good amount of years. Same with The Last of Us on Steam.

meh, just played mp for 2hrs and had a blast. Its quake-like, they added more weapons and maps of course. Like other games like this, just open up your FOV and the game feels much faster
