Catching up on the remaster talk from earlier:

I've picked up the remasters for...

Uncharted Collection:  Within a month of release for like $30 and well worth it to run through them again.

Borderlands Collection:  $40 on sale and then again at $19.99.  Had a lot of fun with BL2 and still have Pre-Sequel to go.

Halo MCC:  Had its issues at launch but the campaigns were really good and I paid less than $10 at release thanks to some trade in deal.  

I think I have Sleeping Dogs digital but never played the original anyway so not a fair comparison there.

That was me. And it eventually turns into 3 minutes of commercials every 10 minutes. And invariably one of the commercials is for Mr. Robot.

To summarize, the USA Now app is even worse than the FX Now one, and that's saying something.

Wow. That is pretty bad. I wonder if the website stream is like that?
 
Started Doom yesterday.  Only played through the first mission, but I like the game so far.  It's really slick and definitely has that Doom feel.  I like how they've upgraded a lot of the old demons; I think it was Cleaner that posted a link about that last week.  The only thing I'll have to get used to is not having an ADS button.  After playing so many other FPSs, it's just habit to want to press the L1 or L2 button when getting ready to shoot.

My PS4 also sounded like the disc was going into hyper-drive several times while I was playing it.

Yeah my ps4 sounded the same. 2 hours into UC4 and it hasn't sounded like that. I also frequently hit left trigger trying to aim a lot.

Ah, a good ole' Lawn Jockey. Did you take that pic or is that one you pulled off the internet?

Whether or not it's considered racist probably depends on where you live. I used to see those a lot more around here (here being pretty much all of South Carolina) when I was growing up, but they've slowly misappeared over time. Nowadays when I do see one it's usually out in the country, and I'd say more than half the time it's in a black person's yard.

My friend found it when he was cleaning out an old barn and was like "I'm gonna bring you this thing you have to see." I think he's trying to sell it now.

 
yeah the pens were the better team again tonight.  every fucking pass they made was tape to tape like they had glue on their sticks.  it bounced all around on the lightning.  needless to say next game is must win for the bolts or they are probably done.

For one of my buddy's weddings, all the groomsmen pitched in and gave the couple one of those as a wedding gag gift. My buddy thought it was hilarious; the bride not so much. He still has it in his man cave.

 
if they dont fix this glitch in Doom by Friday its gonna be too late for me.  Ill be sending it in to Amazon.  Although I did just lock it in again so I may keep it another week in hopes.  but its doubtful.

I was paranoid about that trophy glitch so I uploaded my save at 14/15 for the last weapon upgrade challenge. Triggered with no issues. Now I've got every trophy but the first level on Ultra-Nightmare. Not sure I'm going to be able to do that one--UN is not messing around. I've already died in the first fight 10-15 times. A couple of the enemy types have attacks that have an area effect and can knock you from almost full to dead in one hit. I was expecting a challenge but not the curb-stomp this is.

I'll try some more in the morning, but I'm planning to ship the game off to Amazon if I can't beat that level by the time I head to work.

Might be a strategy to try to throw your opponents off. Maybe make them mad and end up not paying full attention to the clue and when to buzz in, since that's timed to when Trebek finishes reading the clue and if you buzz in too soon, you get locked out momentarily.

This is what happens when you try to exploit everything. You don't develop the awesome skill that someone like me has.

Uncharted 3 crushing playthrough is complete. Probably try to clear up the rest of the regular trophies for the plat tomorrow night, but no way in hell am I gonna do the Brutal playthrough.

Vig reminds me of this cute girl in my class who goes F! every time she messes cause she doesn't cuss (or at least not in class). The only difference is, she's cute as hell.

 
Xeodrifter is pretty fun, has some annoying parts but I liked it. Once you power up your weapon, it's a wrap. Not sure how I'm gonna be able to beat it within an hour though if I can't get too many upgrades.

 
This poke bowl is so good right now. This mj makes even this super shitty alcoholic cherry coke not bad.

Uh oh, taste buds just went out. They probably got overloaded by awesomeness. Now I'm just eating texture.
