EA Access is huge wildcard in this because EA putting their 360 games in "The Vault" costs them nothing and only makes their program all the more appealing. (And of course, being an EA Access member is not required to play the game if you have its disc or just buy it digitally.)

Given EA's strong publicly-expressed resistance to making Remasters, I expect we'll see Dead Space 2 & 3 and Mass Effect 2 & 3 get BC releases shortly - especially now that Microsoft figured out how to do multi-disc releases that were never released digitally on 360.

This is kinda random but if any of you use T-Mobile you can download the "T-Mobile Tuesdays" app for iPhone/Android and get free tickets for Warcraft through Fandango. Also a free pizza and vudu movie rental. It has to be downloaded and done today.

I'm loving the weekly Random Hero mode on Overwatch now. Everytime you die you spawn as a random hero. It really changes each match constantly on pushing and defending.

Cheers to seeing if Sombra and Liao are the first DLC heroes.

I hate to say it, but if you want quirky Japanese games, you probably just own the wrong console. You're not going to find them on XB1 considering the install base in Japan is about 1,000 people. I mean...I guess we got Catherine on 360?

That Skyrim remaster is getting more real. A retailer lists it for this November (makes sense, 5 year anniversary). If you don't like it - don't buy it. I will be getting it day one. FIGHT ME.

Forty pounds is roughly $60. Sixty dollars is a lot for a remake of a five year old game. I loved Skyrim (put 120+ hours into it), but I can't imagine paying $60 for a remaster when I could buy it for $5 on the PC. It will have to be an impressive remaster with virtually no loading times for me to even consider it.

I'd imagine they are planning to heavily incorporate mods into the remaster stuff and, of course, include all DLC. I don't know if that makes it worth $60, but as popular as the game is and as popular as the mods are on PC (from what I gather), it seems like a lot of console players will be happy to buy it. Plus it's one of those games that will sell for a decent price for quite awhile, so they'll make plenty of money long term regardless of how many suckers pay the full $60.

 
If 11/23 is the release date I'll definitely pass on Skyrim at launch, plenty of new games to play instead at full price. If they are charging $60 there better be some actual effort put in. Updated textures and console mod support isn't much of a bonus if you can play it on PC.

I assume they probably updated the engine to be where Fallout 4 is at. As much as they like to say it's a "new" engine, it's definitely still GameBryo at the core. If they bring in features like settlement building, revamped areas, and a not trash UI then I'm more interested.

There are a few potential snags on the mod front.

-If it's not compatible with the old mods then a lot of stuff could be lost to time. Minimum effort would be reconverting files in the updated Creation Kit, but many of those old mod authors might not be modding anymore.

-If it IS compatible with old mods then there will be even more stolen stuff posted on bethesda.net and actual mod authors will get even more upset than the current FO4 situation.

-The Script Extender problem would be a lot more limiting than FO4. With Fallout people correctly assumed a script extender would not be possible on consoles, so it was at least considered in the creation of some mods. With Skyrim mods it eventually was assumed you were using the script extender because there are no real drawbacks and it only improves your game while letting mods do more. Looking at the top 25 endorsed mods on Nexus, I'd say about 2/3s of them require a script extender.

The creators of the popular body replacer mods would have to be willing to do a console safe version of their mods too. (meaning no installer required, and no nudity) Or a large majority of armor mods won't work.

 
I coincidentally have Monday off and Sunday I get out of work a couple hours before the party starts. Guess I get go all in with live E3 this year. I do have to miss most of the Zelda stream for class, but I can't imagine that's going to need to be seen in full anyways.

I'll have to get some snacks and build my pillow fort soon.

 
I put somewhere around 200 hours in Skyrim on 360 including DLC, but even I might have a tough time buying a remaster day one. Just have so many other games to play.

I used to think this way as well, but now I'm not sure. Conker was such a great game on the N64 and took everybody by surprise. But if you do a new Conker game, no matter how good it is, I think it'll fail to live up to the hype. The last minute of this video:

Loved Random Hero mode in the beta. Gives you the chance to try out heroes you may have never used otherwise. It's where my love affair with Lucio started.
