PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

e3 hype?

I am almost done with the plat for uncharted 4. One of the last trophies is the trials in mp. Guide says they are easy. I failed he first trial 10 times and was raging before I realized you didn't have to do only the revives to earn money. Woops! Lol

Does anyone know the difference between Blu Rays that are mastered in 4K and Blu Rays that are released in 4K?  For example, there's a 4K version of Deadpool at Best Buy for $30. Is it native 4K?

All I want from Nintendo at E3 is a Wii U price drop. I might buy one soon regardless, but it'd be nice if it was $200 or less.
Coming from someone who owns one, why? We have most all of the Nintendo first party games and the only one that didn't feel like a new skin on a past game was Pikmin 3.

World of Final Fantasy looks great.  Battles are slow, but apparently they're working on speeding up the loading for them.

They've got plenty of time before the release, but hopefully they get that way down. I counted 9 seconds from an initial battle screen to the menu showing up and letting you choose the character actions. With it being that slow on PS4 I can't imagine the Vita version being very pleasant at all. The game looks gorgeous, though. Really like the environments and the looks of the characters and menus and everything. No idea why they copied the Disgaea-style character tower, though.

Oh, neat. I like that Okage: Shadow King trophy card.
I'm having fun with Okage, but I did think to myself a number of times that many of you would be bitching like crazy with it since it's pretty old school. Difficulty spikes, insta-death and seemingly endless random encounters abound.

Oh, and inverted horizontal camera that you can't change! I know some of you love that.

Cartwheel has 15% off PS4 controllers, Golds, cameras, and all console bundles. I recall people at least wanting a controller in here.

Inverted horizontal? You don't mean vertical?

So are we gonna use Discord tomorrow for E3 presentation live chat? I think it worked really well last year to have the live chat thing going instead of everyone posting the same thing in here, and this Discord thing seems like it'll work better than whatever website we used last year.

Quite a few of us won't be at a PC anyway, so it'll be a lot easier than trying to deal with CAG on mobile.

The actual 4K releases are actually 4K, not just mastered. You need a player and TV that support it.

We could even use it for today's EA and Bethesda presentations. I liked using Discord on Friday, so as long as there's a link to it here, I'm up for using it again.

Yeah I'll be using Discord for the most part tomorrow for the MS and Sony shows. I'll probably use it today a bit for EA and Bethesda as well.

Here's a link to join if you're interested and not in there yet.

The Discord app is weird, though. Whenever I start it it doesn't show PSNOT, it shows friends online, which I can't seem to do anything useful with. I have to tap the menu icon or whatever and then I can choose PSNOT. Weird.

I'm rather hoping for an AC Remastered announcement from Ubisoft tomorrow. Now'd be a good time for them to put 1-3 on PS4 since we've got a gap between Syndicate and the new AC approach next year or whenever.

That's not that weird. I mean ideally it lists various rooms and various friends when you login, but one extra menu click isn't the end of the world.

Maybe, but what can you do at the friends online screen? You can't jump to the Discord chat the friend is in. Doesn't seem to do anything useful.

Inverted horizontal does suck, but it did used to be a thing back in the day. A few games still let you invert horizontally if you want, but most don't. Vertical inversion is the far more common one.

Just download the app on your phone sucka MC. Then it's always there.
Done.

I thought Watch Dogs 2 was supposed to (kind of) fill that gap based on how there's parkour in it now.

That seems like a stretch, tbh. Even if it were, Watch Dogs and Syndicate were both released in 2015. Adding parkour to Watch Dogs 2 doesn't magically make up for the lack of a main-series AC title.

Now is also an ideal time for them to release the AC remasters before they take the series in another direction, I'd think. Once they finish the new engine they'll probably go back to releasing titles every year. At that point the remasters would compete with the new games.

Yeah, wasn't it one of the first RPGs released on the PS2? That , and that summoner game. I remember picking it up because in the beginning, that's all there was.

Yeah, and it has this weird mechanic where if the main character dies, it's game over.  You can resurrect other fallen party members no problem, but if your guy ever falls you're reloading a save.

I just ate a giant breakfast burrito at a place called Tacopocalypse in downtown Des Moines where there were topless girls with painted chests walking around outside getting ready for the Pride parade.
