This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

I remember when THPS first came out I spent so much time playing that game that everywhere I went I just kept seeing different surfaces where I could grind my wheelchair.

I was going to say something about how Valve limits Steam wallet balances to $500, but it's madjoki and the usual restrictions that apply to the rest of us plebs are but inconsequential nuisances to him.

In bro news, we played Street Fighter last night and KeeperofWind was by far the best SF player I've seen since my childhood. He had a fight stick and pwned us all. It was so bad, Foxhack quit after one match because Keeper was too L33T. When we got tired of being Keeper's punching bags we switched to Rocket League where he pretty much sucked so that made me feel better.

That's what it used to be, but when someone drops a code for the millionth copy of Woodle Tree in the forum and someone else says "Thanks for Overwatch!" I'm pretty sure no one here really thinks they just missed an Overwatch key while they looked away for 37 seconds to watch porn.

True story, when gleam banned my ass I found the closest game to $5 on sale I halfway wanted and bought it on my alt because Gleam wouldn't reconigze an unactivated alt. :p

Also, can someone more Steam literate help me out? I see that Steam keeps showing me Lego Worlds and says Buy a Copy Get A Copy for a Friend. When I go to the Lego Worlds page I see no mention of it. When I go into the discussions, I see a ton of complaints about previous owners complaining that they deserve a free copy for a friend too or some BS. So it seems that is the case. I guess I'm wondering, 1. Can anyone confirm that you do get a free copy with purchase? 2. Does anyone know if it is a limited offer? I assume so and it will probably end before the upcoming Steam sale?

Might not be a bad idea to still do "thanks for Skyram", if you can get the rest of the DLC's cheap so you can get that free copy of Skyram Special Edition this fall. :)

If you aren't playing MP, then I don't think waiting on R6 will be a huge deal. I just finished the Situations, which is the main SP component (but really more of a tutorial) and had fun. You can then also Lone Wolf missions, meaning solo missions, but I haven't tried that. They keep releasing maps for it too. It is really fun though when do play on bro-nights so if you get it eventually you have join us for bro nights or else.

R6 siege is a game you MUST do MP, mainly with friends (I dislike playing with strangers on my team in that game). I've been playing it a lot lately with a group of friends

I did try the Beta for R6 Siege - and I mostly played MP.

Lone Wolf SP style is a waste of time here - it doesn't feel like it was built for that period.

 
Steam can't even handle the Envoy 2 sale. How is it going to hold up during the Summer sale next week?

Edit: Actually, the refunds from all you cheap-asses are probably what crashed the server.

You guys just aren't 1337 enough to play Lone Wolf.

 
What's worse is I think Envoy 2 isn't a price mistake. I think it's some introductory level or contest shit, and not a full length game. I can't figure out exactly what it is, but it seems like the price isn't a glitch.

The post I linked to says there'll be 7 more levels.. so I don't think it'd get removed so easily.
