I've played a fair bit of Solitairica over the weekend and I'm really enjoying it. It's not quite as addictive as Faerie Solitaire (but then what is?) but it's still a good take on the genre. I've nearly been able to beat the game with the first deck (the warrior deck, I've now unlocked most of the upgrades) and it's a good challenge. That said, the "roguelike" aspect of it winds me up a bit - if you lose the level it's back to square one. At least you get some currency rewards to allow you to improve your card deck and, assumingly, do a little better next time around. Gameplay is fluent and it doesn't feel like you're cheated (although I've had a few deaths which annoyed me more than they should've done). Good game.

It's only 40% off (£8.99 base price for me, making it £5.39; it's probably 12 or 13 bucks) might be a little rich for some people's tastes, but I think it's definitely worth a place on your wishlist.

Made another sacrifice to the Bundle Gods.
Picked up BloodGate. It's 89 cents on the Steam Sale, but it's also Early Access.

It's an interesting take on the Match-3 style RPG... it seems like it's both faster (much more arcade-y and wants to move faster in terms of matches and fights) and slower (leveling and progression seems like it'll get grindier) than Puzzle Quest.

I've run through the first few levels and am still having fun, and kinda hope the leader boards and PVP might actually have some people around after I'm not completely rubbish at the game.

I also picked it up after seeing a couple people buying it on friends list. Seems like a good game for .89 cents that may or may not get bundled. Hard to tell since dev and publisher are the same and no history for either of them. The 90% off within a month of release would lead you to think it is destined for Indie Gala though.

Foxy Fister wants it badly.

Lowest price ever recorded.

Adventures of Pip, Gunman Clive 2, Shadow Blade, Styx, Victor Vran, and Rex Rocket were bundled before, so the "not bundle fodder" bit isn't exactly true lol. Risen 3 was bundled too, but in a shit tier so I won't count that.

Chronicles of Teddy (basically Finding Teddy 2 renamed) is also bundle fodder, published by Plug in Digital. I know you mean well and there are some good games in that list.

EDIT: lol I just noticed that you're snakeybro.. can't believe it took me this long to realize it.
fuck how did i somehow miss the bundles with styx and victor vran? There are too many bundles

I think I passed on the Styx bundle because I owned all of (or most of) the lower tier stuff.  Still waiting to get it for $5 -- or assuming that once I pay $7.49 for it, it'll be in the $1 tier of a bundle the next day.

I was playing ICY last night and enjoyed it.  It's an open(ish) world narrative RPG where turn-based actions are selected via menu.  You know: "You are hunting in the woods, you see a bear" [Shoot with bow] [Shoot with gun] [Scare with Grenade] [Leave].  You're leading a pack of nomads across a post-apocalyptic frozen wasteland to find some companions sold to slavers and where ever else the plot leads.  Nice art work, plot choices via conversations, stat-based successes for hunting, combat, exploration, speech, etc.  Think it's on sale for $3.99

I got the recommendation off Cheaplikeafox's feed and he seems to be enjoying it as well.

I don't really consider this a hidden gem per se, but I recently have been playing a little Crashlands due to LN3000's recommendation and am loving it. It's essentially a story-driven survival game, so think Don't Starve but with an actual story and purpose.  I'm liking it a lot so far.  You crash land (get it) on a planet and are working on trying to survive and eventually escape.  The UI is really intuitive and the tutorials help explain everything so it doesn't feel like your just resource gathering with no purpose.

The devs allow you to register and use their cloud save feature.  So if you own both the PC and Android version you can actually switch between the two on the same save which is pretty cool and brings me to I guess the sort of "deal" part of it.  I ended getting the Android version which was $4.99 on the Play Store compared to the Steam version which is currently on sale for $11.99.  I had some Play credit I bought at a discount last December.  I plan to eventually get the PC version once it hits sub $5, but will be able to transfer my play with no issue.  I will say the Android version plays really well though and is a neat game to play for short breaks between work on the tablet.

ICY was one of the game's I've been keeping an eye on, so thanks for the review.

I am definitely enjoying it and second Syntax's recommendation. And this coming from someone who usually hates anything turn-based or narrative driven so that's saying something. For a narrative driven game, the artwork is done really well and it does a better job of immersing you in the story/environment than most 3D games. Also, devs got some funding and are doing a remastered edition by the end of the year that will be free to owners so there's that. Remastered will mean tweaks to some of the combat and scavenging elements and exploration so it's not just a slightly prettier version or anything like that.

Victor Vran was also free on random germany site.

Also soon to be free games for cheap:

14.36 - M̱̱᷉i̱̱͚̱̚s̱̞̱ṯ̱̓e̱͏̱ṟ̫̱Glitch: #4154 » [Steam Bundles] New: RPG Heroes Summer Bundle Discount: 95% (Complete the Set) - http://store.steampowered.com/bundle/833/

Missed only one and it was just 3 cents.
Yeah, I barely missed out on the giveaway from that germany site. It's one of those rare cases that I played the game before it was free though, so it didn't sting much.

Those New Reality game giveaways on gleam tend to not last long on gleam, so those bundles aren't a bad deal if you're missing a few games.

So how much is Dragon Age Inquisition in Mexico guys? Because this hasn't already been asked and answered 300 times and I'm too fucking lazy to search (yes I know CAG search sucks balls but it works sometimes) or actually take a minute to use a really easy vpn like TunnelBear.

Oh and VA-11 Hall-A is a hidden gem if you have a time machine and go back and buy it for $5 pre-release on Itch.io

It's sort of Cook Serve Delicious but less hectic combined with a non booby visual novel (yes they exist).

y u no bai on itch?

Wouldn't it be cheaper to pay month of EA Access and actually play it?

Yeah, 3 cents (per game) is very well worth paying on not having to worry about missing, clicking things etc.

I doubt Valve meant this system to be used for bypassing min price, so these might be nuked anytime too.

It's a long, long, long ass game. Did I mention it's long? I mean, if someone wants to put over 100 hours in in a month then go for it. I think I have something like 270 hours in it myself, admittedly I'm on the extreme stop and smell the roses and collect everything end but still.

I also have no idea if it's GotY with DLC or not. Some of us have long since owned it and are just buying it for the DLC cuz EA. :p

The EA Access version isn't GOTY so if you think you'd want to play the DLC then you're just in the hole another $5 for the month of EA and $13 to buy the GOTY and get the DLC anyway.

You can use "Dragon Age Keep" - https://dragonagekeep.com/en_US/ - to create a world-state to import into your game. Keep is able to determine some of your decisions from past games based on your achievements and whatnot, but you will have to do a lot of manual adjustments too.

Good luck remembering 80% of the incredibly inconsequential decisions it asks about.
Yeah, you can actually set up several different states if you want to, using that tool. I can't imagine why you would want to do this, really, and I'm not convinced that it even works very well, because it seemed like several of the key points didn't reflect what I told it happened. Also, be aware that it's completely optional, as the game will just assume that certain things transpired in certain ways if you choose not to set up a Keep profile.

The DLC is mostly meh however EA's shitty practices with DLC make it pretty clear you need to get the GOTY one if you even remotely think you might ever want to play the DLC. It's really expensive to buy later separately. So much so that people who already own the base are just buying the GOTY because it's cheaper for them to get the DLC that way.
I got a bit shafted on the DLC prices because of what motoki said--I went all fakeybro early-adopter on it and bought the MysterD Deluxe Edition at GameStop at $40 before the GOTY existed. It's definitely cheaper to grab the GOTY now, but I didn't want to snag a GOTY and then have it tell me it wouldn't recognize my save from the main game of the vanilla version (I actually had that happen when I downloaded the demo from Origin and the full game wouldn't recognize my save data from the trial). But I ran for the border on a few of the story DLCs, and that's probably what I'll stick with.

For anyone too lazy to look this up, the GOTY comes with some weapon and armor sets, which is the equivalent of Oblivion's horse armor or some of the other, more pointless DLCs for earlier BioWare games, and three story DLCs, The Descent (which is the least-well-reviewed of the three and attempts to explain why the Darkspawn seem to be conspicuously absent from the bulk of the main game), Jaws of Hakkon (the first of the three, which opens up a new area to explore), and Trespasser (which takes place after the events of the main game, and is one of those last-hurrah-type DLCs BioWare sometimes makes, like the Citadel DLC for Mass Effect 3).

Yeah, I put about 140 hours in the base game, so I guess I don't need as much of an intervention as you do. . . .

Well, that's stupid.

It's like Skyrim with creepy sex scenes. Unless you waste your time on Josephine and don't even get to see her boobies :whistle2:x

DA:I Deluxe (and I assume GOTY) grants access to the dumbest ass mount you'll ever see, in the form of a "unicorn" that's an undead horse with a sword rammed through its head. Which isn't a terrible concept on paper but, in practice, the "horn" looks less like a sword and more like a railroad spike. And it's less "through its head" and more "through its face" with the "horn" sticking out of its (muzzle? snout?) rather than its forehead.

Eh, after reading this article, I'll stick with BioWare video game sex. If I wanted bizarre or disappointing sex, I'd. . . well, fill in your own punch line, lazy bastards!

It does kind of come off a bit like creepy uncanny valley Poser porn now that you mention it.
Do yourself a favor and don't play as a dwarf female and get into a sex scene. For one thing, the game has no idea what to do with the disparity in heights so you randomly find a stool off-screen or something to stand on whenever it needs to have you face to face. Also, whatever photo-reference they used for your breasts apparently came from horribly-botched-dwarf-boobjobs.com 'cuz that shit ain't pretty. Two rock hard, unmoving conical peaks jutting off in different directions with no regard to gravity

Syntax, I'm beginning to get the impression that the only reason you play Dragon Age games is for the virtual sex. Isn't it about time you invested in an Oculus VR?

If I had it to do again (and if there was a mod to skip the ball because other than bringing Sera and having her announced which never gets old, seriously fucking ugh) I would probably do a big burly Kunari lesbian who goes for Sera.

New poopstarsbundle.

Why buy it on shit PC for $2 when you can buy a broken PHYSICAL copy for ps4 for only $49.99??!?

Console superiority strikes again!
because buying up all sorts of crappy games for $2 (or any amount of money) that you have no interest in playing makes a lot of sense.

I'll bite (since no one else did :D/) If I wanted bizarre and disappointing sex, I'd stay home and pleasure myself thinking about Tebow's mom - as a lizard-person furry.

Judging from my Steam feed, it looks like I should have posted all my extra New Reality keys from that "Get all the games forever" bundle before today.  :whistle2:k

People can't resist paying 3 cents for poop.

Even I did and I know it will be free on Gleam next week.

But at least I didn't pay 7 cents for digital homicide poop.
