I really need to save these somewhere easy to get to.

I'm so bad at that. You'd think I'd have Nick Minaj flipping her hair or Tebow flipping out on hot key by now but I don't, I go hunt them down again every time.
Hello new best friend,

Here is tip helpful might be to you:

Right click open image in new tab. Save bookmark with appropriate name (dat hair flip, dat racist, dat whore feelings).

Now you forever save time.

Why anyone would pirate when they can get games cheap from gray market sites is beyond me. You'd be lacking achievements, cloud saving, automatic updates, and possibly online MP. I'm sure piracy hurts the dev less, but it's going to be hard to convince people to pirate rather than get a steam version from some shady ass site.

I'd much rather get a game from a legit source though, I think I've only bought from G2A once, and that was to get a preorder/boxed copy exclusive DLC that was a dollar.

Don't feel bad. Every time I've posted Legends of Dawn Totally-Legit-Dev Hair Flip, I've re-uploaded it to Imgur off my hard drive. You'd think I'd upload it, bookmark the location and then post it but nope.

According to gmail I have bought Cities Skylines Deluxe and Grid Autosport and some shitty HRK bundle I later got refunded. Can't find anything showing I bought anything from CDKeys, but I thought i had.

That is why you no longer my best friend, dumbass.

Well I hear there's people that like to buy on some obscure Polish DRM free site called GOOG or something.

Devs are aware of that spoder. That's why they try to explain gamers the situation. They know it's an impossible task, but they believe it's necessary.

I agree with you on your statement. It's really hard to convince gamers to pirate games and even more when we have been saying to not pirate games for decades. But the situation is different now.

On gamer's side devs try to show them how the impact of buying on g2a affects devs/games in the long term. It's the same approach as any teaching we get in our life.

Easy example.

You tell your son. "I can give you 5cents today or you can get 1 cent every day during 10 days."

Your son will take the 5cents instead of waiting a week.

I suggest you all to read the following article. It's really good.

Its a shift in perspective from a dev's point of view.

When people pirate a game, the dev can at least argue that no money is lost because there is no way to prove that those people would've paid for his/her product.

When people buy from G2A and it was a stolen key from a chargeback, not only is there proof that there was enough interest for the consumer that the person would've paid for the game (at a lesser price than currently offered in legit stores), but the dev didn't even make any money from the sale.

At least with used physical games, the dev made money from the 1st original purchase. In G2A, they didn't make any money and G2A and the thief profits which is problematic.

Uhh, if I were the son I think I'd be insulted that my dad is bribing me with 10 cents.. I mean c'mon.. 10 freaking cents. That's less than the cost of a Digital Homicide game on Steam these days.

I buy from legit stores because I'm not a penniless hobo.  I'll take advantage of regional pricing, glitches, etc because I get whatever light amusement from sticking it to the proverbial man via venal sinning.

I don't buy from G2A because the joint's a scam and there's no "tee-hee I used a loophole to save $2 from Canada" thrill to it, just buying stolen shit from a scummy website.

I agree. Shady site is shady.

I think part of the problem is a fair number of people who buy from them that might not otherwise do so don't know they are shady. I mean you youtube assho.., err, celebrities that everyone adores recommend them so they must be great, right?

Then you get the 'My key worked therefore the site is legit!' types like some on CAG sometimes outside of this thread.

I don't really give a crap if you're gonna be as shady as you wannabe but BitchPlease.gif. Don't act like like buying a watch from a guy's overcoat in a back alley is on the up and up.

Just some minor correction. When chargbacks occur devs not only don't see a cent, they actually lose money in the process due to chargeback fees. So they end having a negative ballance.

True that. My only purchase from G2A was some Watchdogs pre-order DLC before I really knew what G2A was. And, yeah, the fact that they touted some partnership with Paypal for some charity was a major reason why I figured it must be up-and-up. Paypal wouldn't be partnering with some grey market site... right?

Doing a giveway for Depth for the spoderfox group, I posted the contest in the completely forgotten about and ignored spoderfox thread, please post your entries there if you wish to enter.

If you upload the images to your CAG gallery you can use the "My Media" button in the reply box to have quick access to them.

u gaiz have so much sense. What would I ever do without you?

Oh right, not buy a bunch of shit I don't want or need.

I've never been able to figure that out, but I will look into it.

In other news, I'm almost done idling my cards. 3 games left! but of course, it doesn't matter because no one is buying cards since you get nothing for crafting during the same. Also got an $11 Boss Monster foil. I mean, also got an "$11" Boss Monster foil.

Wha? That's odd. I just crafted a badge and got a sale card.

I already farmed out all my alts and am selling the cards just now. Those Faeverse Alchemy cards are worthless, but I guess I can use them for SteamCardExchange credit so I can complete some badges.

I've made a grand total of $14 and change from selling crap I get on my alts and my main... and I have nothing to spend it on since the sale really blows. Bleh.

LOL, Speaking of G2A...

I received an email earlier today from Sapphire about some 'Play the SAPPHIRE Nitro Way' promotion. I almost deleted it because I thought it was just some newsletter spam mail. Apparently I entered one of their monthly promotions since I bought one of their Nitro cards last January. Turns out via a random drawing I won a $40 "discount voucher" at G2A.

I've yet to step into the G2A shady realm so I had to create an account, that alone felt kind of dirty. I must say I can't wait for my questionable grey market buying adventure to begin. Now I can swindle games away on someone else's dime, thanks Sapphire!  :whee:

It still feels dirty.

Still time to get your Argentinian Player's Club card!

DAMN U JUST GOT HACKED

Anyone ever got this e-mail? Just got it 3 times in the past 5 minutes.
It means someone tried to enter a key you've previously activated and is being a dork when it comes up used by hitting the "Find Account" button. Which does nothing (and doesn't reveal who you are) unless you have access to the email account linked to the account that activated the key.

Honestly, I couldn't even tell you when the "Find account" button would be useful.

Is putingate still working? Lego Jurassic World is kind of tempting me.
Not that I'd ever argue against anyone climbing under the barbed wire into Putinland but you can also get Lego Jurassic World plus all the DLC for $9.50 from Bundlestars if you disguise yourself as a poutine-eating beaver and use the Save5 code.

So we can't evoke You-Know-Who's name anymore?

What about the Dark Lord's invitation to Portland for a beer? You would go on behalf of us CAG right, Motoki?

"OK, I confessed. I have lurked all the keys posted here w/o saying thanks or even letting you pissants know that they were all redeemed. And what would such lowlife of a CAG do when a key was impolitely lurked? He hit that "Find Account" button to spite my thankless, shameless lurking face"
