Anyone care to share opinions on Guacamelee? I'm sold on the game itself, just debating if I want the "Complete Edition" on Vita or the "Definitive Edition" on PS4. The game feels like it would be more at home on the Vita, but the PS4 version is cheaper for some reason. Thoughts?

In my cart right now I have:

Adventures of Pip

God of War III Remastered

Starwhal

Then I have sitting in my wishlist debating:

the Castle Game

Trivial Pursuit Live!

Armello

Thoughts/ opinions on any of those six games?

Lol, whoops, didn't read that much since I barely got out of surgery.
Yeah that was me hoping for it to be on sale. Turns out we got Armello and Soma instead.

Also Noted that Farcry games are on sale too. Not the best deals but a sale none the less.

I'm really hyped to get Soma, have been eyeing it for a couple of months but the % wasn't enough, now it's a no brainer.

Not really a sale but just a heads up.  7 Days to Die is a giant piece of shit for anyone who was considering buying it digitally.  I actually contacted Sony for a refund and just got it last night.  Would not buy that again.

In other news, that Alienation Season pass seems kind of lacking on content.  Not sure why it is called a "Season Pass" in all honesty.

EDIT: Actually, that Season Pass includes a lot of content for a DEEP discounted price.  Worth buying IMO once I broke it down.

I honestly preferred it on PS4 due to how precise you need to sometimes be with the controls. That was just personal preference though, plus like you said it's cheaper on PS4 as well. The big question is do you want the portability?

Yeah, agreed about the Alienation season pass. It's only a good deal if you care about the soundtrack. I remember the Resogun season pass was really cheap and added a bunch of content.

I also preferred the ps4 version. Awesome game. Got the platinum on my vita and ps4.

I got The Castle Game during a flash sale a month or two ago for about the same price. I've been very pleased with it. The game is a fairly generic tower defense game as the generic name implies, but there are enough variations on weapons, upgrades, etc. to keep it interesting long enough to get your money's worth. If you enjoy tower defense games, i'd definitely recommend it at this price.

Also, I have Trivia Pursuit Live on Xbox One and it's a pretty fun family game. It's one of the few that's clean enough to play in mixed company, etc. I was surprised that they were able to make it fairly interesting and entertaining considering my memories of Trivial Pursuit as a kid are pretty bland.

Starwhal's a lot of fun but gets old fast. The gimmick just gets tired, but it's worth a few bucks if you can play in a group and goof around.

The PS4 version has at least one new area and story to go with it that meshes well with the original campaign, which isn't in the Vita version at all.

On the fence on Amplitude. Played the demo and it's fun enough, but wasn't fond of the music and heard that's one of the bigger issues with it. And also how difficult they make the unlocks.

Some answers to questions:

Guacamelee -- Awesome game, awesome on vita. Great plat. Some hard bosses/areas though.

The Castle Game -- really fun tower defense. Building castles is done well, and you can completely rebuild between every round if you want (that is, you get full price when selling stuff) so there's no stress. Basically, it plays like you want it to play, if you watched vids of it and it seemed to be your thing, it is. Fun plat too.

was a pure question i thought most were on sale before..tempted to buy some but no room on card
If only we could delete games on our Vita memory cards and download new stuff whenever we wanted. It would be even cooler if we could back our vita games up to our PCs or PS3s so that we didn't even need to re-download them. Sony just pisses on us.

I liked PS4 Guacamelee better then Vita in part because for some reason I found the game easier on PS4. Though "easy" is just a relative thing. It's still very challenging, but seemed less frustrating on PS4.

Getting full price for selling stuff seems like bad game design, but i'm enjoying it anyway. It's a fun little diversion game at the very least. I really wish they had come up with a better name and flavored ina little more character in the game and it seems like it could have been really special rather than just very good.

So is this the cheapest The Talos Principle has been? I've been really tempted to get it but wouldn't mind some opinions on it as well.

I bit on a ton of stuff last week, nothing for me this week. But .. I also picked up Alienation at full price, and man that game is fun. The Season Pass doesn't seem to have much for me, the soundtrack I don't care about. But the core game is HIGHLY recommended. I'm surprised Blizzard didn't do this first, It is Diablo with a Starcraft skin and a dash of Smash TV feel - and that is a very good thing.

Is there a way to remove the license for a free PS+ game from your account? I got Grim Fandango Remastered back in January, but with the 90% sale, I might as well just purchase it.
No. Only way to buy would be to let your PS+ lapse, and buy it at that time.
I thought there was a way to call support and have them remove the free PS+ game so you could buy it.. I vaguely remember someone mentioning the process during previous sales.
I also remember reading awhile back that a cag somehow was able to do it.

However when I tried calling in, the csr said there was no way he couldn't help.

Though my demo->full Amplitude license was removed just fine, so sony can definitely remove them, but just chooses not to.

I'd grab it. Fantastic game. Probably my favorite puzzler since Portal. Lots of content (think the Deluxe includes the expansion).

I have it on my Shield Tablet and play it with a controller on my TV, but am still contemplating getting it again as it doesn't have the expansion and I'm sure it looks better on PS4.

But I've also been blowing through money like made recently so will think about it.

For new buyers though, I'd highly recommend it -- especially at that price.

Gems of War!

 Do I have enough armor/health/attack?

also the Machinist battle was very easy for me... ;)

Due to the sheer size of the castles you end up building in later stages, getting full price works much better since you're going to be expanding the castle every couple rounds. I think they made the right choice in that department for this type of tower defense.

I've heard nothing but amazing praise for it, for this price i'm picking it up.

From the game's Steam page...

Guacamelee! STCE is an enhanced version of Guacamelee! Gold Edition that adds in two huge new levels, an explosive new ‘Intenso’ power mode, 4-player local co-op support and more. You’ll need to use every bit of your skill and power to defeat STCE’s new challenges (including a scheming new boss- El Trio de la Muerte), in addition to everything the original game's sprawling world has to throw at you.
It also includes the paid DLC from the original game.

Anyone care to share opinions on Guacamelee? I'm sold on the game itself, just debating if I want the "Complete Edition" on Vita or the "Definitive Edition" on PS4. The game feels like it would be more at home on the Vita, but the PS4 version is cheaper for some reason. Thoughts?
See above, the complete edition for vita includes the DLC which is some new costumes (which add a variety of different strengths and weakness to the characters) and challenge rooms, but the PS4 version has a few extra exclusives like a couple of extra levels and an extra boss. So if you want everything, buy the PS4 version, but if you really want portability, then get the vita version (it comes crossbuy with the PS3 version). The bundle fantastico might be more because it comes with themes, avatars, and the soundtrack.

Really? I bought a physical copy, have put over 20hrs into it already playing coop with a friend. It's not the most visually appealing game and it most definitely is still alpha but was worth what I paid for it through BB GCU

I couldn't stand it. Maybe it just didn't appeal to me. I thought it ran like complete shit and looked like ass. But hey, if it ever drops down to like $5, I might snag it again.

Anyone get their 15 dollar credit from the spend 100 promotion from two weeks ago? I know they said it'd be delivered by the 5th. Going to look through the sale now to see if anything piques my interest.
