Just finished song of the deep and thought it was great. If Ori is a 10 (ori is a 10) then song in the deep is a solid 8. I feel like the game is a bargain at 15.

I would imagine that they are releasing a lot of arcade games because they are the easiest to test and get working right.

Remember that they have to play through the entire game to test it.

 
I liked this BC update. I had no idea that we had Big Fish grandma games on the 360. I don't want the game, but you know. The more you know.

Interpol is a mediocre hidden object game published by Atlus that featured low-res art assets that interfered with the core concept of the game.

MS is just using the good idea others have done for free to play games. It's too bad it took this long, as I'd have liked to get a headstart on Gems of War.

Jokes aside, if you plan on playing online, the upgrade is a no-brainer. I don't think they update the 360 version at all anymore and you're missing out on A LOT of new content.

I just noticed Gems of War today (and laughed because it shares an obvious similarity to another popular game title), yet it's been out since last year. Is it actually decent? I enjoyed that Montezuma game that was on the Vita, but generally every color-matching game I've played twists your arm too much to spend money to keep playing.

Sorta, they haven't really detailed it but I think it was obvious when they announced all DLC would be free. Plus the XP cards that were in the beta looked a lot like the other REQ like systems.

I like it more than Halo 5's system from what we've seen. It seems like you still will be able to get the characters you want since the cards give you armor and weapon skins, plus the XP bonuses.

Really liked Quantum Break. I liked the story and some of the "tech" was just amazing.  The time powers are fun enough and the combat was paced out well and never dragged for too long.  I felt the final boss fight was a little cheap which is the only reason I am not sure I am going to do a Hard playthrough.  I feel like I got the QB "experience" and not sure I want to ruin that by being frustrated with combat.  I will at least go through my timeline and look at the opposite choice effects.  Definitely worth a try at $20-25.

I did one complete 100% run on Hard...if you think the final boss is cheap on normal, don't even bother with Hard. I wanted to violently throw my controller through the TV for a couple hours.

Ugh, I couldn't imagine. I was so irritated when I finally beat and realized I was about 5 seconds from beating it on my first try only to get stuck on a box or something utterly stupid and be stuck on it for the next 45 minutes. Better to just not think about it.

I beat him in two tries on normal but honestly I got super lucky. I am just trying to decide if it is worth the 1000 to play the entire game again on hard just to get stuck on the final part and get totally frustrated. I have so much other stuff I want to play and the trade value at GS is decent still.

It's a new Puzzle Quest from the original developers and it's really good. They've done a great job supporting it to improve it quite a bit while adding new features over the last year or so.

I 100% agree on the final boss, but I think the rest of the experience is better in hard. There's a different flow to combat that I think is better and more engaging. This is coming from someone who rarely says that (last game I felt that way about was Ryse at release). Usually I just want to experience the story and content in a game, not bang my head against something to prove my prowess.

It was available awhile back, but the free DLC was showing $9.99 for everyone, even if you had Gold. They ended up pulling from the site. Now it's back and the price is down to $0.00 if you have Gold.

You have to buy Xbox 360 games via your Xbox 360 console to use your Microsoft Money.

I endorse this statement. Despite my huge backlog I've played an embarrassing amount of Gems of War this year. You don't have to spend any money to fully enjoy it and it's been well updated. A recent update made it more difficult to farm but overall it's a great color-match game for those who are into that.
 
seems like boosfights in modern games just suck, quantum break was frustrating and the end boss of the old blood was the most frustrating thing ever, also not enjoying any of the boss fights in darksiders 2.

AFAIK, you can't buy 360 games with credit on the Xbone.

P.S. Is the game worth it? I downloaded the trial but haven't had a chance to play it yet.

 
10 achievements, 6 story related, other 4 are easily attainable. The only one that takes a little time is buying all the ships upgrades.

I was going back to get the achievements when I ran into a bug, where I'm trapped now and my game saved where I am trapped, lol. Insomniac said it will be patched within a week to fix the bug.

After my experience with Minecraft Story Mode I would advise against buying a Telltale season pass disc. There were problems and delays with getting nearly every new episode to work with the physical disc version.

It's a very different world than the one I grew up in. I play games for as long as I'm having fun with them. Sometimes achievements make the fun last longer, sometimes they don't. Sometimes it's fun to go back to a game years later, regardless of any achievement system that's part of the platform. Each to their own and how they want to determine the value of a game. There are enough game experiences out there for everyone's tastes.

The LEGO games last a lot longer because of the achievement/trophy system. The core of the gameplay relies on playing the game at least 2 times for getting achievements. They would be a lot shorter experience otherwise.

 
I feel like I haven't truly beaten a game unless I've gotten all the achievements. Like I've wasted my money if I dont do everything the devs challenged me to do. I try my best to go for 100%, but there are times where I just say fuck it and give up (Homefront).

Same. I see the achievements as a challenge. BUT -- I also weigh it against time and frustration. If I have to do 4 playthroughs to get all the achievements, then heck no. If I have to complete the whole campaign on insane difficulty with no deaths and no healing, then no. Completing CoD:WaW on veteran difficulty taught me that some achievements are not worth getting.

I'm counting the hours until Tron Evolution is free.

I really shouldn't be this excited for a Disney game. Especially one that I previously owned and 1000'd. I need it back in my life; Tron Run/r failed to fill the void and only wanted all my monies for microtransactions. Hopefully there will be a huge surge in the online population and I can finally find someone to play my map pack with that I never got to play.
