Are people really that stupid about Nuuvem? I'm pretty sure most people saw this coming a mile away, the second they started PayPal-locking their games. As soon as Nuuvem regional pricing started being advertised openly on Reddit, it was a question of when, not if.

I swear it's like watching a bunch of Foxhacks freak out about spyware. Like, y'all can't really be that dumb, right?

Thank you!

Seriously. The Deer was one of the first games I went through all this stupid Gleam stuff to get. Didn't have Steam installed on my laptop at the time. Stupidly assumed they emailed me a key (because they asked for my email) so I closed the window and boom all my Gleam work was gone for nothing. I am finally redeemed.
You can go back to the giveaway link to see the key again.

Probably doesn't matter now, but for future reference.

You guys really seem to think foreigners are just clueless chickens running around with their heads cut off. This is a very calculated move by Nuuvem, likely due to pressure from pubs (see below) and also so that you Americans can no longer say "oops, bought this game and didn't know it wasn't region free" when you were clearly on the Brazilian Nuuvem site. I wouldn't expect any more refunds or replacement keys for that sort of stuff from here on out.
When you are not joking/trolling (which is 99% of the time) I see you can make sensible comments.

I'm a bit confused on Nuuvem's new US store. We won't be able to buy some games from Nuuvem from the US and get Brazilian pricing (like the Castlevania pack during the July sale), but IIRC that was fairly uncommon since most games were PayPal locked anyway. Unless I'm missing something it doesn't seem like the US embassy will affect how people primarily shop from Nuuvem (diners club card).
I can think of a big and important difference which has consequences. The brazilian store is now inaccessible so you will need to use a VPN to reach it whereas previously you didnt have to. Maybe it doesnt sound important to you but it makes a big difference. Above all you must need to use VPN even for those titles that werent paypal locked and cart locked.

If Nuuvem opens up a storefront with Mexican prices for me, then I'd be okay with that. There are no regional Steam key sellers in my country - at least, none that actually respect the local Steam prices.

But since they're not going to do that, they can go drown in Zika hell.

It wasn't my intent to offend or minimize the issue. My point was, to buy games at BRL prices people needed a VPN in most cases (unless I'm mistaken the vast majority of their catalog was PayPal locked). There's now an extra inconvenience to use VPN in order to check the BRL prices before using VPN to actually make a purchase, but overall it doesn't seem to change what people were already doing to pay in BRL for most of the Nuuvem catalog (VPN+PP+Entro).

Assuming no other changes people can still get those previously PP unlocked games at the same prices but they'll now have to buy them w/ VPN like for the rest of catalog. That's all I was trying to say. :/

lol sorry I didn't mean to be an asshole or something like that. It's just my way to express my english (crappy I know). I am the one who must apologize for my manners if they weren't appropiate.

Edit 1. I will need to read nuuvem TOS but if I recall correctly they stated that you shouldn't buy on their store if you are a foreigner. That's my point of VPN needed. It's more a full cover for them in case of "purchases made by mistaken" as FoxyPeter stated before.

Edit. And I'm sorry again. That's what I get for not speaking english properly (I cant even in spanish xD)

Oh no worries and certainly nothing to apologize for. I just wasn't sure if I had given the impression I thought that the US store wouldn't affect anyone or that I might have been dismissing the issue. It definitely has an effect but it seems for the most part we will still be able to get access to BRL prices w/ our Diner's Club Cards™. :)

So I've summoned the Candyman Grandma Motoki by invoking Entropay.....ah well...he's probably off playing some Matlock point n click or some Puppy party game...he ain't got time fo dat!!!
Speaking of Motoki, I haven't seen him for a few days. Did JonnyC put a hit on him?

Dunno anything about this site

http://www.oneplay.com/en/download/details/13734_Homefront_The_Revolution__PC_

Says its based in Las Vegas, but the new Homefront is 9.99. Theres a coupon code for a little bit off (play3) that knocks it down to $9.69
Google search says no, bad, no use site.

https://www.google.com/search?q=oneplay.com+review&rlz=1C1CHBD_enUS698US698&oq=oneplay.com+review&aqs=chrome..69i57.85282j0j9&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

Where does it say that? I'm not trying to be argumentative, but the only negative post I read is some guy who got pissed off that he didnt get his key quickly and similar things to that. I personally dont care about things like that as shit happens and people will typically post negative things before positive things, but more if they are a G2A-like site. They've had deals via Groupon before but I dunno how that works.

That said, based on the layout of their site and the sort of things on offer it "feels" like a G2A type of cousin site.

It's usually a very bad sign when the only words typed into search is the name of the site and the word review and the only stuff that comes up is negative. I mean if you type in G2A review it doesn't even look as bad as what you see when you type in oneplay review and G2A is a known ripoff.

According to their Whois information, they're actually a Danish company. And according to their website, their address is located in an apartment building or a PO Box place.

Shady as fuck.
Just out of curiosity, I tried looking their address up on google maps. On their website, their address is listed as;

OnePlay
Sky pointe dr. 2151
89131 Las Vegas USA

Which I'm guessing means 2151 Sky pointe Dr (leave it to Europoors to make everything ass-backwards)

But if you look it up on google maps, 2151 doesn't even exist. Sky Pointe goes from 5700 to 7000. Now, I could be missing something (especially since Sky Pointe is not one continuous road), but it's a bit concerning that the company couldn't even McDonalds in Oregon the address (there's a Taco Bell on Sky Pointe, FFS), they just made something up without even checking if it's a real place or not.

And yes, it has been a really slow day at work today.

Not even that. The appstore is only Android apps.
You can use Amazon Appstore/Google Play/iTunes credit to get Hearthstone stuff.

You log into your battle.net account when you play the mobile version and all purchases/etc are carried over between versions.

EDIT: Amazon might just be coins... might not work with promo credit... not sure, never tried.

Not arguing that they're not shady but the actual address they have listed for the US site is

http://www.oneplay.com/en/about_us

6868 Sky Pointe Dr. #2151 89131 Las Vegas, NV

Which when looked on Google is a condo, so there is a tangible address associated. They picked a random condo or its some dude who did all their LLC paperwork if that aspect is at all legit. Anyone can do an LLC on Legalzoom though.

I could go start an LLC called Weiler's Mom's Butt Services and it'd be legal.

Just take a gander at the place they want you to sent all letters to.

https://www.google.com/maps/place/Energivej+15,+2750+Ballerup,+Denmark/@55.724321,12.3797455,3a,60y,172.73h,79.03t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1scMwvdxQLhpdPUQnZT1sATA!2e0!7i13312!8i6656!4m13!1m7!3m6!1s0x46525079dfc9e895:0x44d3aff7a52d60d2!2sEnergivej+15,+2750+Ballerup,+Denmark!3b1!8m2!3d55.724148!4d12.3796579!3m4!1s0x46525079dfc9e895:0x44d3aff7a52d60d2!8m2!3d55.724148!4d12.3796579

Now Google maps is telling me this is a place of worship so I doubt that it's running a video game reseller.

Just an FYI, shady LLCs and random addresses and registered officers etc. isn't just a thing foreigners do.  A lot of Americans get away with it in states with lax LLC laws.

Entertaining though to see CAG turn into Jr. Detective League on a slow day.  Shady price is shady.  Enjoy it if you don't mind, skip it if you do.  I'm still on the fence mainly because I read reviews that it was just your average military shooter.

I see, I was going off the address listed on http://www.oneplay.com/en/contact_us but it looks like the front part (6868) was cut off, and it's apartment #2151, and not just some crazy way Europoors write their addresses.

Welp, they still seem about as legit as G2A, which is to say, no thx plz u sir.

The condo looked kind of nice in the pictures I saw, sold for 120k apparently. Also, because bored, found this on their trust pilot reviews (from a reply by the support team):

Before choosing to see your key, you will see a pop-up window that says:

"Dear X
If you proceed to your game key you will no longer be able to get a refund.
Oneplay sells gamekeys to third party Providers and is unable to check if a key has been used.
Oneplay will Always replace a faulty key".
Rest of the prices seemed meh, but don't really pay attention to AAA games til the price falls (and even then not really, since old computer and such). Oh and Danish address does seem to, likely, be an actual office from what I could tell. Just the American one is lol bullshit.

Does Oneplay offer to insure your purchased key via a "oneplay shield?" That how I can tell if a place is legit, by whether or not they offer insurance for their obviously legit products.

It's also the reason why I stop going to Taco Bell, no insurance for post-GI distress.

I bought it (Homefront) and they didnt do anything like that. Bought, got the key right away. Activated. The end.

Did you pay with PayPal? I tried and it was doing some 1 dollar authorization thing and then wanted to add itself to allow automatic payments or something? I think D2D did something similar when I paid with PayPal. It didn't require me to log back into PayPal to pay, it automatically subtracted funds like saving it as a credit card.

No, I just used a prepaid Visa that I had a little over 10 bucks left on. It did do the dollar auth though. It was pretty quickly released and theres no automatic payment authorization on my account at the site.
