Xbox One S 2TB + Halo 5 LE + Doom + Quantum - $400 Ebay Newegg

Could probably make almost $100-120 back selling the games...couple that with trading in the old Xbox One, and the upgrade is not a terrible price...factor in the 10% back and the cost of getting a 2TB external drive and it almost breaks even...

No extra 10% off for me, but this deal is still much better than Amazon...  no tax for me...  ebates, 3 games (that I already have) and I had a coupon from selling my last Xbox on ebay.  

 
I've got the 65" Samsung 4K tv so I'm going to buy the 1TB Madden version so I can better utilize that. Going to trade X1 in to BB on Sat for the $125. Have two controllers I'll trade separately. I traded some games just the other day for $140. And I've got about $90 in rewards. I know I'll get the Scorpio next year so I'll move the S to another room and see what Sony has in store after Neo.

I'm just wondering how reliable this thing will be with such a reduced size. If they shrunk the chips dye's enough I guess it would even out but then again the power supply is internal & it's pretty much a given they made this unit with as cheap components possible since it's going to be going head to head with PS4 til the end of this console cycle. They know they will have to squeeze every penny of savings out of it since it will have to end up being $199 at some point in order to compete with PS4. As with many I got bitten badly 3 times on 3 different 360's with the rrod & wasn't until I got the Halo reach limited edition S that I felt comfortable & I've had it 6 years with no problems so hopefully this design is done by the same ones who designed it.

 
I bought it and cancelled the Amazon order. Better deal for me because I don't have those three games and it was free shipping and no tax.

My emoticon was speaking a little in jest since Gears hasn't even come out yet. But for my honest take, Halo 5 was below average. I felt obligated to play it having played all of the numbered sequels before it but it just didn't have much replay value. I'm not a fan of the ADS they implemented. I feel like I got trolled about the campaign. Doom was the OK one out of the bunch. The speed of it with the brutal finishers are nice elements that keep it fresh from the rest of the shooters. MP didn't seem very strategic to me I dunno. Quantum Break was disappointing. The TV series was a novel idea but it seems jarring between live motion capture vs in-game CGI. The plot had a nice concept but the story just wasn't fleshed out interestingly enough.

Gears 4 hasn't even come out yet so it's crazy to compare them but anybody that pays attention knows that I'm a big Gears fanboy on here so I'll take Gears over most any game out there. I've easily spent hundreds of hours on Gears multiplayer over the years. It's quite addicting. #icantquityou

I wonder if there will be bundles for the other models, hmmmm might just hold off on pre ordering the 500 GB halo bundle

I could go for a $299 xbox one s x Doom

 
Really the 500gb model is all I need. I play most of my games on PS4. I'd just really like a 4k player. I'd sell my two OG ONEs and since no more huge power supply just move this console between my two places I play video games. So I'll probably wait for the 500gb unless this bundle comes back in stock.

heh....I was just hoping that too but talking to a friend of mine who works in shipping he told me monday at the earliest for coast to coast ground. Basically depends on where you are and where its coming from. Same state you may get it tomorrow.

 
I have to wait until Monday, West coast, but the real shitty part is that kinect won't plug in without a frigging adapter which is not sold in stores yet and is going to be a pain in the ass to get from Microsoft.

How can they not have this ready? Your always penalized for being an early adopter.
 
This is probably not the best place to post this but I need some help from my fellow CAG's. I do not have a Xbox One but I am looking to get one within the next month for my bday present to myself, that said I do not have a 4k TV and do not see myself getting one in the near future. So my question is, is getting the Xbox One S for the smaller form factor and slight upgrade in performance worth it with all the deals on the original One model? Thoughts?

Get an original Xbox One.

Side Edit: Xbox One S came in yesterday, less than 24 hours after order with 3 physical copies of games.

Get the S, there's no reason to own the original Xbox One brick. It consumes more power, is bigger than most 80's VCR's and has an anchor power adapter you need room for. Another reason? The S has a better controller, the original is quite pathetic IMO and a USB port up front among slightly overclocked specs and other improvements. Anyway my console was delivered yesterday but I didn't get back in town until almost 2 AM so right now it's sitting in my leasing office.  Hopefully they open early so I can pick it up before I have to leave for work, otherwise I won't be able to get it until Tuesday since I'm working open to close for the next 4 days...  :(

Damn that sucks. Hope they open so you can get it. Mine is on the FedEx truck and I can't wait to get home to play with it. I probably won't till tomorrow cause my son and I are headed out to see Suicide Squad though.
 
Everyone may want to check their tracking info. Mine was scheduled to be delivered next Wednesday but I checked tracking this morning and it's already on a local truck for delivery.
 
Mine came Today it's cool that we get the steel case version of halo 5 will probably sell quantum break since I already have it digitally

Teardown of this thing from ifixit looks pretty decent overall. I don't like the Clip together case (never liked it on the 360) nor do I care for the X clamp design & heatsink looks far too thin like we saw in the original 360 but the fan directly over top of it as well as far smaller than 90nm chips (probably 28nm or less I'm guessing) should probably not make that a concern. Interesting teardown rating especially when compared to the PS4. Fixing to check out the ifixit site for the high quality images. Interesting stuff. Can't wait to see what the NX has in store for us.
