I know that, my point is that in hundreds of interviews he has done in four years he slipped up because he's not a public speaker, not because he was actually trying to deceive someone. he wasn't thinking critically of what he was saying and how it would be interpreted as something critical to someone. I agree that he unequivocally didn't tell the truth and should have at some time set everyone straight but I'm saying based on how he spoke and what he said that he was probably trying to keep things mysterious while not outright confirming or denying the functionality.

I should have qualified that term as being a good public speaker and not just someone who speaks in public. There's plenty of things I've done hundreds of times but still suck at. Public speaker requires numerous skills that don't necessarily develop naturally. There's plenty of people who've done it there whole life and still suck at it. Most don't passively (or actively based on the youtube videos circulating) lie though and try to get away with it.

Hello Games and Sony really acted dumb on the whole multiplayer aspect of this game. I have a feeling it was in the plans and was cut and maybe is even a planned update to somehow have more interaction, but they should have been more upfront about how the game is a single player experience. They knowingly let people's imaginations run wild and left the door open to too much speculation on a lot of stuff and then never clarified it like they should have - especially the multiplayer questions and answers.

I'm not upset about it, because reading between the lines should have been obvious to anyone familiar with video games that the "multi-player" wasn't going to be much more than what it is right now.

That's the way any reasonable person that did ANY amount of research into the game should feel. I'm glad there is no multiplayer anyway because you know...not every damn game needs multiplayer. I don't want to run into dipsh*ts who are just out to try to ruin your experience because you know there would be a ton of them if multiplayer was a big part of the game.

Ok so played it about an hour. The game is extremely bare bones so describing very much of it would ruin almost any enjoyment you could get out it. For $5 I don't regret picking it up just because it's different then your average game there just isn't much to it other then it being a jump scare simulator.

This is the best advice about the game. Happened to me yesterday. Was literally lost in this cave for an hour. Eventually found a way out. Not sure if it was the same was I came in. I'm pretty much avoiding all caves now.

I think Sony has done this before. Put up a sparse weekly sale when a major game is being released. I remember there wasn't much on sale during the week of Metal Gear Solid V's release because I remember thinking during a later game's release "this is like when Metal Gear Solid V was released".

At this time weak week sales won't get me to spend on regular price content. Not when the year-end sales are right around the corner. October might have a Spend $100 promotion, then Black Friday in November, and the Holiday sale in December. Not spending anything now just gives me a bigger war chest for those sales.

So I'm rather salty that because of an inopportune crash of Doom that I'm kind of screwed on getting the plat without probably playing the whole thing again.  It's a challenge in one of the levels to pick up tokens from the elite guards which of course I can't go back and do again because they're permanent power ups and gone from the level.  Unfortunately it's in almost the exact mid point of the game and it's not clear if I would have to just get to that level and do that one challenge to pop the trophy or do all the challenges in all the levels again.

Side note, if your going for the Doom Plat, be sure to close the game and back up your save to the cloud BEFORE you start mission 7 (Kadingir Sanctum), and maybe even turn off auto upload just to be safe (just be sure to turn it back on later). Then play mission 7. When you finish it, and assuming you did all the challenges in the level, go to the main menu, then mission select, and check to make sure that all the challenges registered and are complete. There's a glitch where even if you finish getting all the elite guards during that level, which is a challenge, it doesn't show up in the mission select. This will stop you from getting the complete all challenges trophy. If you get the glitch also, just redownload your save and try again. Totally screwed me over so I guess I have to start again. Ive also heard that it may be caused by not spending all of you elite guard points before the level is over, so that might be worth trying as well. Just a heads up. :)

Yup. I'm in the same boat. I have every other trophy except the complete all challenges one. SO pissed off. I'm about to just try to plow through it again. Want to sell it as quickly as possible to get the most money back. Really hate it when a glitch like this basically makes all the work I put in a waste of time. But like I said, Ill let you know if I hear anything back from Bethesda.

Ok so played it about an hour. The game is extremely bare bones so describing very much of it would ruin almost any enjoyment you could get out it. For $5 I don't regret picking it up just because it's different then your average game there just isn't much to it other then it being a jump scare simulator.

Historical data suggests it'll be next week. Of course there's no concrete answer ever, so it's easier to just plan on checking every Friday or sometime over the weekend to see what (if anything) is on sale.

I haven't had this happen to me (yet) but I read that you can use grenades to blow up terrain so if you get stuck you can make your own door

Yes make sure you have that upgrade before extensively exploring caves, at that point you can angle up and eventually make a tunnel out.

According to IGN you can make custom waypoints. I have no clue how to do it (nor does anyone else I've spoken to) but if you can figure that out you can make one at the start of the cave so you can find your way back lol

One Way Trip is coming to PS4 on 8/30. This was set to be part of a bigger game that had a tactical cover shooter and rhythm portion of the game, but that was taking too long to make that wouldn't be done until early 2017 and spun this off as its own thing that could release way sooner.

Seems that they're making a game based on The Huntsman: Winter's War, though it's subtitled Winter's Curse instead. It looks to be an adventure RPG with a Grandia-style turn-based battle system that looks way more interesting than the movie ever did. They describe this release as "all five books of The Huntman: Winter's Curse first season" that makes it seem like an episodic game with no delay between the episodes.

Being able to have friends visit your planets or team up to explore would be cool, but 100% satisfied with how it is now.

NMS is fun so far, going in I knew what it would be.. And it's actually a game my brother in law talked about years ago. Wishing there was a good space exploration game, at the time we couldn't find anything that wasn't restricted to a small area. It seemed that every "space" game was either a text/side scroller based game of some sort, or a game that had actual ships flying in space.. But the base was fighting.

We wanted exploration and planet building.
I'm not far in, Damn work gets in the way, but so far I like it.
And if I never come across another player I'm happy.

That would be really nice to have, but I haven't seen any way to do that unless it requires some sort of mod for the multitool like the animal/plant scanning.

Even the ship's scanning capabilities aren't great when flying across a planet's surfaces.

Yeah I thought it was going to be 40 USD since Australia charged $40 equivalent in their currency but I guess they go by the $50 instead. But damn that’s a lot. I’m a big TF fan too so I’m going to buy this game at some point to give it a try. I played a lot of WFC but not much of FoC. Looking it up, the game did get a remaster actually as players are saying the graphics and framerate are improved. Looking at some streams it does seem like the FPS is better like WFC was. This also includes all of the DLC.

Hmm I want to give it a try but not sure how stubborn Activision will be over the digital pricing of this game (future price drop). This game had zero marketing and there’s no physical release of this game. I’d be in it for the MP but splitting up a PS4/PS3 user base might just kill the community. Hard to say with new players coming in that were never part of the PS3 gen though.
