just totaled it up. I think my cash trade total is $636.90, i was just under 500 before i did the $140 trade in. trade ban msg popped up today. So if anyone out there has the ban on between $500 and 599.99 we need to hear you chime in, otherwise it may be $600 is the threshold. i'm about out of things to flip in my area, so i took one for the team to test it out, had some XB1 TMNTs that i couldn't trade today... drove em back over to best buy and boomerang'd them lol
did you get ban day after you did $140 trade in?

I actually wonder if game publishers do things like this to get more sales. Sure, nobody will play the game, but it is obviously being bought.

If all the reports are accurate, I'd bet on it being $600. I haven't kept track of my own self the last 30 days but I'm below that and since I did a combination of credit/cash and threw away my receipts I'm just going to stick with credit only for the next month to be safe.  Now I wish I kept my receipts since the mobile site isn't going to help here lol.

If I got banned over a measly $80, I'd quit this site completely.

on the mobile site i think it says something about trade card if you put the credit back onto your PUR card

Welp i dun goofed. Went to a different store to do a last set of Deadpools, didnt notice the guy from my first store hiding in the corner.

He denied the trade but accepted my other stuff. So i went to a different store, apparently he called there before I got there and a person called me out on it, but was cool and still accepted the trades. Glad the same as credit deal ends tomorrow, since I don't plan to do much trading and can lay low.

Probably got flagged from him being a Jr. Detective, but whatever.

My trick worked my entire record is gone and I still get to keep my points. Took a hour to do but considering the benefits I say it was totally worth the effort. For other people making a second account may and probably will be a better idea.

make a second account and transfer all your point?

I went into Target a while ago to see if I could find some good preowned flips. The few $6.49 PS3 and Xbox 360 games that were there last Sunday were gone, but I picked up Deadpool ($17.49) and Rory McIlroy ($13.99), both for Xbox One. Deadpool is worth $22 and Rory is worth $19.25 at GameStop. Not a big flip, but I will at least get the chance to try Deadpool before turning him into cash tomorrow.

It should be a rolling 30 Day period. If your June-July rolling period total is somewhere around $1997, it's easily conceivable that you went over the $2k limit and there's one or two receipts unaccounted for or something. The 90 days should start from the date of the ban-trade not the notification. Also, there was talk of bans not going into effect until the first day of the following calendar month after your ban-able offense (so if you went over the limit in June/July period the ban wouldn't begin until August 1st). This might explain the delay in potential bans for members stating they've gone over $2k and haven't been affected yet.
Hmm, went over everything, not missing any trade receipts that I can tell, did find 2 purchase receipts that I had misplaced but those didn't have any trades on them lol. Looking further, my mid-June trades of $108 shouldn't've counted coz I didn't trade again until July 24, so I got banned at $68.3 cash + $1825.2 credit = $1889 total. I didn't do just games, I also did Apple products since Target had that Apple sale, not sure if that sent any red flags though I had GS receipts for all of them. My last successful trade on 07/31 was over $500 credit and the trade ban notification popped up on 08/11 after my games were scanned (if successful, that would've put me into ban territory lol) as well as my DL info was entered in... trade ban notification didn't show up when my PUR acct was scanned & games were scanned.

So yes I created $1889 in 8 days, maybe that was too much in such a short time period & accts get flagged for trading in too much in 1 wk??? Did anyone trade in more than $1889 in 1 wk?

Must've been banned on 08/01 then if it is indeed at the beginning of each month lol.

Yeah but $1825 will get you almost 1,000 crunchy tacos at Taco Bell

1,000 tacos = free Taco Bell for life = winning

Seriously though, starlight another thing to not overlook is that much trade activity is bound to get you into the store often enough that a jr. detective could decide to look up your account and report it to LP. As eswal said, you also have to assume you properly accounted for every single trade/receipt which gets a little cumbersome when you get that high.
Scary lol, the GA that did my trades on 07/31 made some faces after scanning my PUR card & strangely remembered how much I had on my Trade card from my last visit the previous week when I purchased stuff. Recently all the GAs have swapped stores in this area. Even when I throw on glasses, I'm recognized from a previous visit where I did not don any, like how that GA recognized me o_O where my previous visit consisted of purchases only & none of my trades were brought in the previous visit anyways.

That must've been a Jr. Detective lol.

Is there a way to know if an acct was banned coz it was reported to LP or coz I had just hit some weird unknown limit that we haven't figured out yet? I'm getting the feeling that I traded in too many Apple products in 1 wk but IDK since I never actually got to the $2k level before being hit.

Just did a ~$60 cash trade today, still no ban. Pretty sure we can at least conclude that the cash limit during cash=credit promos is higher than $2k, which means there probably is no cash limit during them.
So the cash limit is separate than the trade limit? Thought it was $2k total? Interesting lol coz I only got $68.2 in cash & was hit with the ban hammer with $1825.2 in credit =/

Not sure yet but looks like I got banned for a lil under $70 cash lol.

Thought it was just my region with GAs swapping stores... within the last few wks, GAs in this area are all at different stores lol.

Hopefully we don't have to start dressing up in costumes to buy & trade roflmao.

Lol I bought deadpool for ps4 and traded all 4 of them. Didn't even bother playing it at least once. Shows how much of a casual I've become

I could give a damn about golf, and I don't have the space on my Xbox One's hard drive to install Rory anyway. But I liked the Deadpool movie and the game is only 6 gb, or at least that's what the box says, so I figured what the hell.

Yeah, rarely ever seen it happen before so it wasnt on my list of things to expect. And I had only seen this guy once or twice before in the year or so I have been using these stores.

Never had an issue with doing trades between the same couple of stores as long as I spread it out over a few days. Now I'm gonna have to start spreading between more stores in the future.

Are the points at least safe in the banned account? I can still log in and check in for those daily 5 points :)
No if the account is banned they are removed contacting customer service and getting them restored may work after making a new account but I doubt it in case of a ban.

Never seen that happen before either, 1 guy from my home store is now working at the store by where I work at, rofl I walked into that store 1 day to do trades & THANKFULLY the store was super busy with super long line so I walked out, hopefully before he noticed lol. I'm going to have to space out my trades 3 months from now too.

Thankfully my PUR points are still intact, so that's a good thing at least, but I was still tradebanned before $2k =/

I guess if LP was contacted by a Jr. Detective then all points would be gone right? Or has anyone been sent to LP and still had their points show up in their acct? Have no idea what my ban was about coz I was close to $2k but not there yet, unless there's a weekly limit we aren't aware of yet.

Has anyone ever seen items in Reward catalog being restocked?

There was this super cute Sailor Moon - Moon Princess crystal figurine thing that's not in the catalog now that I would've redeemed points on.

Like on one trip did you trade 10 or more games?
lol some of my transactions varied from 15-20 o_O I don't have enough stores in the area to just do less than 10 this round =( the smallest was probably around 6 at a store maybe.

You are banned automatically on the trade that puts you over $2000 for credit and are unable to complete the transaction. Thought we all solved this puzzle a long time ago.
ohhh had no idea, coz earlier ppl were commenting saying ppl don't get banned until the 1st wk of the following month, which would make sense for those ppl that still continued to be able to trade after hitting $2k.

So once you're tradebanned, not possible to do a small trade small enough to put u still under $2k either then?

Yeah, I have never done more then at least 9 in a trip. Someone mentioned that as a possibility of being banned if you trade more then 10 in a trip.
i dont think the limit is 10 games. i see soccer mom / grandma bring in stacks of wii or last gens games all the time. of course they bring in OLD and low value games that net them like $20 total

Tradebanned = banned from trading. Does it need more explanation or is it covered now?

I've probably traded in close to 100 items before in a single $1000+ trade (last summer when they first expanded the retro game trade ins), so I don't think it's a number of games limit, besides the 4/title. It seems to be based strictly on money...

I believe the bans might not be related to the amount of games brought in at one transaction. This is a bit of my trade in history during the last 30 days. I'm not really near any of the supposed limits but I thought this might help someone out. Keep in mind that I've made all the trades at the exact same store, traded in for store credit and about half of what I've traded in are repeated items (within the 4-limit max and on different days) and, if it means anything, I've never been banned in any way.

Anyone got a link to the best video showing how to remove redbox stickers? I'm really scratching the disc real good right now
Only tried that once with the utmost care using applied heat and an xacto knife to gently remove the standard white decal.

Never again am I messing with one of them...
