Second question: do they make network cards that are both wired and wireless? Having trouble finding information. I move my PC a lot so having both options would be nice. Might just have to get a USB wired adapter though, regardless.

Omg Mr.D used ycs correctly. There may be hope after all.

I don't see it as about competing, just offering another outlet. Why not?
I think you summed it up pretty well here. Steam movies started out exclusively with 2deep4me indie titles, 17 minute videos that were probably also uploaded to Youtube and didn't make enough in ad revenue. Indie filmmakers used Valve's cheap insertion fee to increase exposure, and it should stay that way. But as we've seen of Valve with the shit that gets greenlit, they've done some weird expansion to a bastardized on-demand service with mainstream titles like Allegiant and Naruto.

I can't really see Steam trying to compete with the mainstream on-demand providers like VUDU, and if they do then they're being stupid. Steam codes will never replace UV codes in physical media, nor will Walmart give $5 Steam wallet codes with a pizza. Those two things combined are pretty much the only reason digital films prosper. And I can't see any mainstream film company making a Humble Bundle of movies on Steam.

Just keep it to the cheap indie film exposures that we can buy for $0.25 in a bundle and everything will be fine.

Alright, so I think I've deciphered the "trick" to get the Idle Master glitch to continually work very fast. Follow these steps and it should work for you. If it doesnt, thats the fault of weiler's mom.

- Use IdleMaster. The trick works with ASF, but its easier to do with IM.

- Make sure all of your games have 2 hours. If you have a bunch that need to be idled, you can still do it, but you cant get the rhythm going.

- Press the next button fast, think of it like revving a lawnmower. Once you get one drop, slow your interval to 3-5 seconds between presses.

- When you get to 1 game left on IM, go into the settings menu and change the Idling Order setting to anything, just different from the one you're on. Do it somewhat quickly. You dont want Steam out of a game for too long.

- Rinse and repeat. Rev, once one drops, every 3-5 seconds press next.

I literally got 180 drops in about 10 minutes. I have only a few drops left but it gets tougher when you only have a couple of games left to finish. If you get to 100, you need to check your inventory then. It won't let you get more drops once it hits that wall. Just view them, and get back to it.

Got my new SSD the other day and installed it tonight.  Crash course in AHCI, how Win 10 doesn't come with AHCI installed (?!?), how to set a drive that's acknowledged by Windows device manager but not storage, etc.  Good times.

I think I might toss my computer in a well and go buy an Alienware Steambox instead.

I managed to get a bunch to drop earlier using SAM, I suspect it's just the first card drop for each game though, no? I've only managed to get one card from each game.

SOMA looks to be a good early unlockable, but I'm always paranoid that an indie game is going to end up in a cheap bundle in a blink of an eye. Eg: you can all thank me for my sacrifice for buying Dreamfall Chapters before it got bundled. It's happened to many times in the past. And regarding headliners, from playing it, I honestly thought Mad Max was rather meh and haven't really felt like picking it back up after leaving it. South Park: The Stick of Truth has been the best headliner from my experience, in terms of my enjoyment from it and how little I paid for it.

I know one headliner I tried to love was This War of Mine. I got somewhat bored of it after playing it about 4 times. Didn't beat it, but it just got tiring, though it did feel dreary. I also didn't really care for the controls during the action parts. It was alright, but I don't know. Glad I got it cheap at least.

For anyone that cares, In Case of Emergency, Release Raptor is getting delisted soon. The dev claims that all people that bought it will be refunded and get to keep the game. I don't see how that's possible if you buy it on steam though, but the dev didn't really clarify how refunding/keeping the game will be done.

Dev's reasoning can be found here. You can still buy it, so it might be worth it to buy it and if the dev doesn't deliver on his promise, refund it yourself before two weeks are up.

any of you weaboos fakeybro AOT? i'm hearing decent things about it, but it is an omega force game so there's always that. i'l probably wait for a sale, but ya know, curious...

No, you can get every card with the glitch. SAM is probably hard to use for it without being able to just hit next constantly. But its not limited to just the first card.

I'm happy to report that Mortal Kombat XL Enhanced Online Beta is running extremely well online against other players at 1080p60FPS (with no drops or rises!) with High settings on my PC (i7 950 Bloomfield; 16 GB RAM DDR3; "4GB" 970).

Runs great & looks pretty good on my rig.

It's too bad this is my first time playing any version of MK10 here - so naturally, I'm getting flat-out slaughtered most matches.

Would've been nice if they did have an option for offline matches against CPU opponents here, even if they didn't have the Story Mode or Classic Ladder Mode in this Beta.

Kudos to QLOC for this PC port.

I would just like to chime in and say Doom is fucking amazing.  Just played the first level, but it throws you right into the action.  Game is beautiful, intense, and just plain fun.  Had sort of a hell week or two with work lately so this was definitely a nice treat to myself.

I got my hands on Doom (2016), as well - and I agree.

I played it for a little over an hour last night. Old-school Doom level labyrinths, old-school cardkeys (yellow card-key, blue card-key, etc), lots of monsters, big open areas, outstanding graphics, fast-action, you can strafe + dodge fireballs from Imps - this just feels like old-school Doom with some modern twists (upgrade your suit, challenges, Glory Kill mechanics, etc).

This game w/ VSync Off using the Vulkan API is kicking at 1080p with 80FPS to 120FPS (holy smokes!) on Ultra settings here (i7 950 Bloomfield; 16 GB RAM DDR3; "4GB" GTX 970; W7 64). With VSync On, which is where I'm keeping it - it has 60FPS solid w/ no drops ever period.

I need to play more. This game is bad-ass.

Awesome @ GOG adding more to the GOG Connect program.

I don't own these, though - at least not yet, anyways.
I get a constant "You are queued for GOG Connect. Your accounts will be connected as soon as possible. Please check back later."

Is there a way to get past this? I don't own the Orion games on Steam, but concerned if something I do own pops up.

Jealous. No where near me had it and I wasn't driving an hour for it (for that I'd pay the extra $10 and get it online) and Malkan went above the call of duty to see if his GS had two copies but I guess he was getting the only copy in the tri-state area. And Amazon is full of dicknobs who'll pricematch PS4/X1 versions but not PC :whistle2:x

You can try price-matching like I did. I was in a similar situation. The closest GS that had it was an hour away in each direction. I just happened to go out shopping with my wife yesterday and decided to give it a try to price match at Target. Lucked out really and didn't expect it to work once I saw it was sold out online, but the manager was nice and gave it to me. They had two copies at my Target and I did consider picking up the extra in case a CAG wanted it, but honestly I thought I had a greater chance of getting shut down for the price match if they saw me buying multiples :/

I've been playing Doom too. Definite GOTY contender. It's so good I'm trying to ration out the campaign to make it last longer. And even that's not working, since the other day I ended up playing through two levels when I meant to stop after one.

I could get DOOM for $28 from DLGamer and justify that by not having to leave my house to hunt Targets for a copy to beg a price-match out of being worth $8 to me.  In reality, I'll likely just wait on it to get a lower digital price.

I tried the rapid-flipping Idlemaster thing and it worked a treat.  Went from twelve games to two games with 1 card left each in less than a minute.

A delisted EA game....that's a ohhhhhhhh heckkkkkkkkk no.

Yeah, I was in the same boat. Only tried it because the wife already had a trip out to the shopping center with Target. I would just keep it on your radar. Rumor is that it's some sort of publisher sale so I would not be surprised to see it go on sale at other places soon.

Nice, one in Brooklyn but I'm not taking a 45min metro ride for that...guess I'll wait for a digital sale.

Thanks
Could always price match with BestBuy or Target.

I don't know what kind of stores you have in your area but I'm sure you already consider those two options.

Target and BBY are hard to come by. In NY for vacation ATM.

It's also OOS online so most likely they will say no

SeasonalCAG Resident FPS Hound:

DOOM is the fuck ing fantastic and a tip don't try to start the game on Ultra-Nightmare mode because you will not survive. Talked to Mad about it and dropped it down and had way more fun and less frustration. Then went back to beat the first level on Ultra-Nightmare after numerous attempts for an achievement then said fuck it had enough. Multiplayer is ok but nothing to make me keep playing, it just felt too slow and was getting 1st place on matches with guys way higher than me.
