What else is spread wide and doesn't offer refunds?
Speaking of refunds, I read that the whole No Man's Sky refund thing was just a false rumor. Some whiny brats complained to Amazon or PSN enough and probably lied about not being able to get the game to run that they got refunded, but there's no widespread policy and Steam isn't allowing exceptions to their refund policy.

Also, entirely too proud/happy of this:

Yup, got my Raptor refund but no response from Humble regarding NMS. I certainly don't feel like I'm owed anything, and as tedious as the game is I still find myself wanting to play it, so I'm fine with any outcome.

Also, Malkan wins.

that is your best avatard yet

I'm not saying Watch_Dogs but totally Watch_Dogs...

Chicago has started installing sensors that will monitor the city

By 2018, a network of 500 sensor nodes situated around Chicago will monitor air quality, climate, traffic, noise and other factors that affect the environment of the city. The network is called the Array of Things, an urban sensing project that is being described as a "fitness tracker for the city," collecting real-time data that can be used to help improve Chicago's infrastructure, provide hyper-local forecasts and help you get to work on time.

[...]

The nodes are mounted on traffic poles or the sides of buildings and contain an array of sensors, including components that measure barometric pressure and sound intensity. The nodes are equipped with an infrared camera that will be able to measure vehicle and pedestrian traffic, but the creators of the Array of Things stress that the nodes won't be another form of surveillance—all images collected by the unit will be processed to collect data and then discarded.

Free update if you owned previous versions.
Titan Quest is an ARPG and now I would like to tell you how I feel about ARPGs...they suck.

Thank you. My art is getting progressively better even if it creeps spoder out.

Seattle tried to install street cameras and people lost their shit.

Also, it is obvious Spoder works for Arcen games and has a financial interest in scamming us all into buying that game and then screwing us out of refunds.

Fun fact:

Obscure 1 and 2 are on sale for 50% off.  Last year on the very same day (08/31) they were on sale for 66% off according to ITAD.  By next year, I predict a 33% off sale.

Eh, they do 50% off sales 1-2 times every year. It'll be this price again, I don't know if it'll hit 66% off again though. I had a lot of fun playing Obscure 1 with Nvidia Gamestream Co-op with Reds. Couldn't get it to work with Obscure 2 though, had issues.

The sales are rare, so if you want it I'd just buy it at 50% off. They seem to never discount the games during seasonal sales too.. so I doubt it'll be on sale in december

Titan Quest was great many years ago. I kinda doubt it holds its own vs the more modern Diablo clones though. Still tempted to buy just for nostalgia.

That's a really nice gesture. And to launch at a 75% discount? The update either cost nothing to make or they only care about console sales at this point.

Regardless, well done THQ Nordic.

Oh great, now Steam crashes upon startup. Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay. This day has been godawful and it's barely noon.
I got the same thing last night after an update. Had to delete everything in my steam dir (except steam.exe and steamapps dir), then re-run steam and let it rebuild itself

I loved Titan Quest.  Since this version has workshop support, I have no doubt there will be some neat mods before long.  I'll play it again and try some out at some point.

So according to Le Spoder, MAV's been delisted and any unused keys for it from Alienware's giveaway are set to be deactivated soon. So use 'em now if you haven't already.

And if anyone with a spare could throw me one, that'd be great.

hey guys, after finally getting into a game, i played some BF1 beta. and it's not horrible. it isn't pay full price when it launches great, but maybe for $5 in a year. plus i got it running a smooth 60 fps on my crappy rig, so it runs nice.

Just saw on that MAV forum that they're doing one update for the Steam version and after that its basically going to be incompatible with the game as its continuing but not with Steam support. So, its basically useless I would assume.

Oh well, never played it, dont care.

I'm using a 960, what that is like 900p?

I've been tempted to drop my money on one those 1000 series cards for few days now and forgetting about VR.
The only vr game I was going to buy was eve valkyrie after trying it on the playstation vr.

GTX 960 cards (desktop versions) are namely built for 1080p gaming. Whether you'll be at 30FPS or 60FPS - depends per game and what graphics quality settings you want to set them at.

I ran most games on my High to Ultra settings w/ (normally) Vsync Off on my 4GB 960 with around 30FPS; 60FPS; or somewhere b/t them and personally locked the framerate where I see fit down with another program (i.e. often I'll use MSI Afterburner and set profiles per each game to lock it down specifically at a certain framerate - for some games, I locked it down to around 45FPS, 50 FPS, whatever - depends on the game and where I find it running around most of the time).

Also, do you have 4GB or 2GB version of the 960?

Anyways if you have the 4GB version of 960 - that will give you more wiggle room for bumping up texture quality; graphics bells + whistles; AA quality; and other things of that sort... which is especially even more so true for games that can eat over 2GB of VRAM - i.e. Watch Dogs, especially Batman Arkham Knight, Far Cry 4, AC: Syndicate, AC: Unity, etc etc.

Currently, though - I run a "4GB" GTX 970 in my desktop.

I don't know if anyone already posted, but Newegg is having a Labor Day sale on Squeenix and 2K titles.

Only thing that's kind of noteworthy as far as I can tell is Supreme Commander 2's DLC being 75% off. It's even cheaper with the code LABORPCDD16.

Knocks it down to $1.06, probably as cheap as it's gonna get outside of a strange Humble Bundle. As for whether or not you should get it, it adds a ton of stuff to the game and the consensus is it's a must if you plan on ever playing the game. Planning on ever playing the game being the key phrase there.

Also, Bioshock Trilogy is pretty cheap if for some reason you don't have that. Keep in mind the free upgrade coming along soon.

2GB version since Alienware is complete crap, but it's a gift so I can't complain too much which I am very grateful for having.

I don't feel like the 960 2gb version is enough which is why I was considering buying a better card today.

First rule of Fight Club, you're hori stick can't be more expensive than your graphics card.

If you're willing + can hold out a bit - you could always lower the resolution to 900p (or even 720p or even lower, if you dare) + mess around with some graphics details to try to get some performance.

While the 4GB and 2GB 960's don't performance much difference in most instances framerate-wise, the more buffer-room on the 4GB version would've certainly helped.

If I didn't get my "4GB" 970 so cheap - I'd probably be looking seriously at the 6GB version of the 1060 or the 8GB 1070. I think the 1080's too expensive for my blood. Benchmark-wise, the 1000 series was just a crazy improvement over the 900 series; usually, I wait a few generations before I buy a new graphics card.

I would like to publicly apologize to Spoder and anyone else who I may have implied had a small, micro, or mini penis.  I have not seen anyone's penis and therefore have no knowledge of the size of their penises, big or small, one way or the other.  Anyone who didn't show up for Rust doesn't automatically have a tiny penis and I only joke about people not showing up for bro-nights.  I don't seriously care one way or another and I understand that things come up.

Edit:

Except Reds and Wieler.  Bah's mom has confirmed that their penises are so small they invert when it's too cold.

BF1 beta trying its best to undo the positive impression it left on me. Played for hours without any problems yesterday. Finally got into a server today; had no guns in the first match (couldn't shoot, melee, anything) and then crashed about a minute into the second one. Not sitting through countless matchmaking and connection error messages again trying to get back in. Maybe I'll give it another chance tomorrow. If not, I'll just keep playing Mankind Divided.
