Humble Bundle Thread

I kinda wonder how Town of Salem made it in. They had to know it had already been bundled.
Town of Salem likely agreed to be included for cheap. It's not a bad inclusion as the bottom game of a top-heavy bundle, really. It also fits in with them including a social multiplayer game in the last few monthlies.

Pretty happy with this month's slop, and I'm really glad I held off on buying Grim Dawn. I even spent 15 seconds playing that Uncertain game so this has already been one hell of a day.

I hope that's the case, I'd feel bad for the other devs if Town of Salem got a decent cut from this monthly. Maybe they didn't want another RAM incident where a steam game debuted on Humble, but was absolute shit quality. Better to have a decent quality MP game that's been bundled a couple of times rather than a new one that sucks I guess.

Good bundle for me, SOMA, WWE, and Sheltered. Not that I would of bought WWE, and have to figure out how to free up 50+ GB for it but still pleased.

Grim Dawn is a good early unlock, although I already own it. It's literally a Titan Quest clone (in terms of mechanics), being made by former Titan Quest devs so not surprising.

thing is, while its been bundles before there actually is a following for the game.  The daily numbers are something a lot of games would be jealous of

Eh, but many people already own it. It was in a Humble before as well.

My guess is they have a certain amount budgeted for the monthly and needed something that they had to pay less for to fill the bundle out. Its a good game, not knocking its quality, but its still headscratching for a game in prior lower tier (and in a Bundle Stars bundle) making the monthly cut.

I don't think it's appeared in a Humble Bundle. Just twice for Bundlestars.

Had no real interest in those additions.  $12 for Grim Dawn seems okay.  Been waiting for a bundle although these monthlies usually turn out to be the headliner and a bunch of crap that's only good for the collectors.

Random Humble Store question. Let's say you pre-order a game from the Humble store like a dangus and you don't like it. You then ask for a refund and they actually grant your request. What happens to the game in your Steam library after the refund is processed? I keep waiting for the game to go away, but it's still there. You could say that the game is a lot like my family in that way.

Humble contacts the developer/publisher and asks for them to revoke the game. Some devs/pubs don't give a shit and don't revoke so it's YMMV

Some mixed emotions here...

I bought the Monthly knowing that it contained SOMA. I'm not much into 2Scary4U games, but since everyone raves about it, I thought I'd try.

The negatives:

- 2 games that were bundled previously (Town of Salem and Banner Saga). booo

- Sheltered has mixed reviews.

- The Uncertain is truly uncertain as it hasn't been released.

The positives:

- The Uncertain looks promising.

- Gonna get my wrasslin' on.

- Might play SOMA with the lights on and happy music in the background

Also, I've been trying to immediately play at least one of the monthly games. Last month was Starward Rogue and I was really pleasantly surprised. This month I am going to choose Epistory. It looks like Typing of the Dead: The RPG, but is colorful and cheery. Might be nice.

Soma's not scary. Its foreboding. Its story rich and thats the draw. I haven't finished it cause I wasnt really in the mood for it when I started it, but typically I will stick with something depending on how gripping said story is. I think Soma is high quality, but the really rave reviews are a curiosity IMO. I will finish at some point.

I wouldn't consider The Banner Saga to have been bundled before. If you look at the two things it has listed as bundles in isthereanydeal neither of them are bundle cheap. $15+ tier from humble with it being the only thing in that tier, $4.50 from chrono.gg. Its downfall is being $1.68 from Putingate pricing not too long ago.

Yeah The Banner Saga was in a crappy bundle, most CAGs got it from the $0.99 newegg glitch (AMD code)

I own it, so I consider it to have been bundled. Also, it was $3.38 on Nuuvem 2 years ago, which I also consider to be bundled. They need to learn to bend to my wishes.

Edit: also, see spoder above.

Fairly pleased with this bundle, only owned Banner Sage and Town of Salem, and several of the games were on my wishlist.

Pretty pumped about Grim Dawn as the headliner for next month! Also surprised that the download is only 3.1 GB. It is nice to get a new game that doesn't take an entire day for my crappy DSL to download.

And what the hell is the point of "2k16" anyway? That's just as many characters as "2016". Dumb ass wrestlers.

I was able to pick up the two games I found even remotely interesting (Sheltered and Epistory) for a buck a piece in the cesspool, so I just wanted to thank all you morans for continuing to subscribe to poopees pre-orders humble monthlys, so that I can pick up the one or two games that actually interest me for cheap.

Despite the numbering/naming scheme, 2K brand-name/series is a pretty good sports brand of games. It's the series name + publisher of the legendary 2K sim-style sports series. They're probably best known for their NBA games, though.

ITAD says Grim Dawn has been $12.49 at its lowest (before vouchers):

https://isthereanydeal.com/#/page:game/info?plain=grimdawn

WWE 2K16 has been at its lowest at $10 on Amazon DVG, which is what it is right now.

That ain't even including the other stuff that is thrown in this monthly bundle.

One of the better monthlies I've seen from Humble, TBH.

EDIT:

Wrestlin' is in the Sept monthly. Grim Dawn is in next month's.
Whoops, thanks for the clarification.

EDIT:

Fox says that Grim Dawn is easily as good as any ARPG he's ever seen :whistle2:
Since some ex-Iron Lore guys (that made Titan Quest) are involved w/ Grim Dawn at Crate Entertainment, I'm most definitely interested.

IMHO, from what I played - TQ was pretty good. I need to finish it one day.
