So after a long hiatus without Steam, what did I miss these months besides being free from buying bundles? any drama? free games? glitches?

Reddit leaks of new Steam Store (v7)

so much bullshit

Friends Activity.
We're adding a prominent new 'Popular Among Friends' section right to the home page that will highlight what your friends have been buying and playing card farming.
As long as Steam keeps literally incentivizing game idling with the promise of cash, "Friend Activity" will be worthless aside from letting me know when a new bundle dropped somewhere.

Yanni Cappuccino of Groupees infamy kidnapped Motoki.

Everybody in the thread posted their top 10 most played Steam games.

Valve put the kibosh on Gleam giveaways.

Valve gave developers the power to revoke keys themselves instead of needing Valve to do it.

Star Ruler 2 dev put their game in a Bundle Stars bundle then got cold feet and revoked unredeemed keys.

A glitch was discovered that allows you to get card drops instantly by cycling through games rapidly in Idle Master.

Castle of Illusion was removed from the Steam store.

Activision added a bunch of Sierra games to Steam and ran a Humble bundle for them the following day.

Ubisoft gave away free copies of The Crew on uPlay.

Developers of ARK released a paid DLC even though the game is still in Early Access.

Olive Garden sold never-ending pasta passes for $100 to 21,000 people.

Digital Homicide tried to sue 100 Steam users and got booted from Steam.

A bunch of people looted Gears of War 4 codes from Amazon and nVidia today.

And mom jokes. Lots of mom jokes.

I dont have Premier or Shoprunner :(
Can other people order for others like Amazon Prime? I'd be more than willing to order it for you if you wanted to Paypal me the money.

And also, I've been coming to this thread all day to ask one question and I keep getting distracted.

Anyone play the Duke Nukem Clone DLC? I'm thinking of making DNF the next bad game I play and then say it's not as bad as people say just to be different.

I liked DNF and the DLC, and it is one of my guilty pleasure games. It is a theme park fps game with classic one liners and throwbacks to DN3D. It was exactly what I was expecting it to be, and not an world shattering / record breaking game. The one mechanic that annoyed me the most was only allowing us to carry 2 weapons at a time, which was a change for the worse.

If they made the next Duke Nukem game with something similar to the combat of DOOM, I would be greatly satisfied.

Crowdsourcing time!

Just found out I'll be able to work from home once a week, and since I've pretty much fully transitioned to gaming solely on PC I figure it's time to get a nicer chair for gaming/teleworking (primarily gaming, of course). Any good suggestions on a something nice and cheaplike?

Some twitcher I follow on Twitter got some racing game from some company. They are super expensive though. Like $400.

Edit:

It's DXRacer I guess if you are into racer looking chair and want to spend an assload of money.

La-Z-Boy, or whatever is on sale at Discount Recliner Warehouse.

I was reading on neogaf all the codes been disable even people that bought one.
This is the first time I ever caught Nvidia promo so I'm glad I went to redeem it.

Now let's see if we get to keep the game, I'm already downloading it.
If you are so inclined to commit fraud for a "free" game, wouldn't it be cheaper (as in less work involved) and LESS risky to just pirate the game? :whistle2:k

Fraud? Isn't fraud as the promotion was free and they sent the codes out early.

I had a choice to keep the graphic card or cancel my order which I decided to cancel it at the end.

Piracy of a game is literally actually stealing a game which is wrong.

I would never recommend piracy to anyone ever.

Duke Nukem isn't that bad.
Correct.

At worst, the game is mediocre. Some parts of the game are on the low end of mediocre. Other parts are on the high end of mediocre. It averages out to just plain mediocre. Whether people want to spend time playing a mediocre game is another question. But at the very least, it is not a "bad" game.

On the whole, I had fun with it.

I send my buddies texts of all auto-suggested words. I always like to imagine the look on their face when trying to interpret what i'm saying.
Happy New York City Council you want me to pick up the stairs to the minute we have the money and time for bed soon though it was a mistake and I don't know what the hell do you think that would have been doing that?
So that's how tebow wrote his posts. Cool.

Auto-suggest misspells things?

EDIT:

Or is that just an exaggeration? I didn't come in here when tebow was around.

With this promo you're actually taking game from potential paying customer, so yes, it's worse than piracy.

There isn't piracy with Win10 apps, they haven't been cracked. (QB has bypass, since DRM only adds pirate eye patch if checks fail)

I love this kind of anti-piracy.

I remember "reading" about Moto Racer adding a bouncing skull and crossbones to the menu screens (I don't think when playing though) if it detected a cracked copy.

EDIT:

I should finish my thoughts before posting...

I am here to echo some of the other sentiments expressed in this thread and ruin your anti-establishment moment by saying: "It's not as bad as people say" 8-[

did the dlc show up in some bundle? I played through dnf a couple of months ago, as had been said, its an ok shooter. If it had been released 2 or 3 years after dn3d it would have been considered a decent sequel. I actually found some people playing online deathmatch. The weapons are fun and satisfying and would be good bro fist material.

One of the first bronights I attended was a DNF night. It was confusing and kind of terrible but ultimately entertaining so in other words it was pretty much what I've come to expect from a bronight.

It's fraud if you enter a fake credit card which is something that some "smart" people did ....

has anyone ever actually recommended pirating to another person? isn't that just something you learn by yourself and not really tell anyone else? like drive in the carpool lane or go out with Fox's mom?
I wholeheartedly recommend downloading a car. It's saved me tons of money.

The bros (Reds, Jimbo, and I) had an impromptu Miscreated session.   It wouldn't be a survival game without half an hour of trying to get on the same server and another half hour of finding each other on the map.  Once we did meet up, we looted together and found a truck we could repair.  Once we walked a few miles to find the parts and doubled back it was like an hour or two but the feeling of getting that truck started and jumping in was indescribable!  We then went to the city, looted some more, found a bicycle, then a safehouse and called it a night.  There was also the meta game of trying to keep Reds alive.  All in all, the most fun I've had in a survival game in quite some time.

Re: chairs.

The popular choice whenever I google this is the Markus from Ikea. It's what I'll be picking up next time we finally have enough stuff to justify a home delivery fee.
