A bit off topic, but I'm broke as hell this weekend, so I'm finally going to play some PlayStation Move compatible games that are already in my backlog that I bought back in the day. Anyone want to suggest what I should start with from this list?

Cabela's Adventure Camp
Cabela's Survival: Shadows of Katmai
Carnival Party
Champion Jockey
Crazy Strike Bowling
Eyepet
Eyepet & Friends
Hasbro's Family Game Night 4
High Velocity Bowling
Order Up
PlayStation Move Heroes
Racquet Sports
Start the Party
Summer Stars 2012
TV Superstars

Sorry for the OT question but I figured someone here might have a suggestion. So we (my son and I) just figured out that someone must have hacked my psn account, logged into the network, deactivated my devices, and then activated their own ps4 as my primary. This not only prevents me from activating one of our consoles as my primary but also precludes me from "deactivating all devices" on the psn site because you can only do it every 6 months. It's a Saturday so telephone help is closed - anyone with any suggestions?
you can still deactivate their ps4 from your account. im assuming because of your wording that you can log into your account and have already changed your password. in that case go to your account (on the web store) and then go to the devices tab. you can see all the playstation systems on your account and can deactivate them individually (only the blanket deactivation is once every 6 months) then you should be able to go on your playstation and activate it as primary.

That doesn't actually allow you to remotely deactivate those systems, as it just gives you the instructions on how to do it manually with the system itself.

What he may be able to do is download the remote play PC program, log in to the "primary" PS4, and remotely deactivate the hacker's PS4 to free up that slot. I don't have a second PS4 to try it out on my end, but it may be worth trying anyway.

If that works, then immediately do the two factor authentication set-up on your account ASAP.

It's stuff like this that keeps me from ever connecting a credit card to my account!

Geeze that sounds horrid.

I'm sorry but it seems you have the same problem that i do. Back in June all my devices were deactivated, my password wasn't changed nor was a dime spent on my credit card. I did 2 online help chats that got me nowhere. I've posted the entire chat in PlayStation.com forums. They will suggest you fill out a online form(i got auto denied because it hasn't been 6 months) and they say that they cannot manually reset account devices until 6 months after the most recent activation date. I hope it pans out better for you. I'm still annoyed at the situation myself. I'm using 1 ps4, my account devices only shows 1 ps4, when I downloaded/purchase a PS+ game via PC, it only offers me to download to my 1 PS4, which is the one I use. But it won't activate as Primary. It sucks because I can't play coop games with my daughter because of the locks.

This sorta happened to me in that I was trying to activate a second PS3 but someone has theirs active. It hadn't been six months but they told me to fill out the form anyways. I did, and explained there was an unauthorized PS3 linked to my account and I needed all to be unlinked. A day later they I got an email stating it was all deactivated and I linked my two right away.

Good luck.

You're 100% protected with credit cards. Notice bad transactions, report them, they're cleared and you move on. No fear. Id suggest not tying a debit card cause that will ping actual funds but do credit cards like crazy.

The minute Sony rolled out two step authentication, I activated it on my PSN account. It does add an extra step to log in, but it's well worth the effort to protect your account.

Agreed. I did exactly the same thing.

hmm, i thought you used to be able to deactivate ps4s that way, i knew the psp and ps3s just gave instructions, but i could have sworn i was able to deactivate my old ps4 that way. maybe not or maybe they changed it. either way thanks for pointing out my error.

Thanks guys.

Here's the problem(s):  As Frisky pointed out, the individual option simply provides instructions on how to do it.

You can deactivate all devices online (which is what they apparently did to me on 10/16) but it can only be done 1 time every six months so I am not able to do it again.

There is a specific request form you can fill out but it doesn't allow for comments and/or explanation.  It asks only for the serial number for the console you want deactivated.  Ironically, the chat people wanted me to put the console serial number of my own console because they won't give out serial numbers to me.  It's not my console I want deactivated.

Thanks Frisky.   I'm trying and I'm going to keep trying.  I've also written a very self serving correspondence to Sony's general counsel (first one I found) regarding the way that Sony's limiting deactivations to once every 6 months is preventing me from curtailing and enabling the hacker to prolong the breach to my account - which has my paypal account linked to it.

This is one of those moments that being an attorney actually has a benefit - you know exactly what buttons to push to get a reaction.  Trust me, I'm not being douchey - Normally, my job stinks.

Thanks guys.

I filled out that form anyway, thinking maybe they will deactivate all devices. My email reply from Sony was basically to wait 6 months. It's like a robotic response from PlayStation chat, twitter and email.

Does you account dashboard at account.sonyentertainmentnetwork.com show you more than 1 ps4 activated? I'm convinced the system glitched when I updated or switched cable companies.

*Also note, when you set up 2-step authentication you can choose to sign out of all devices, it won't fix the system activation issue, but if you were hacked that user will no longer be signed in to your account

My guess is that they signed into my account ONLY to (1) deactivate all my devices and then (2) to make their devices my primaries.  Then they probably signed out of my account for good because they can game share with their account.

EDIT:   If I can in fact make some headway with them, I am happy to help the cags who posted above to try to resolve things for them also.

The sinister part of the whole thing is that Sony could just screw people over and make it seem as though another (undisclosed serial number) device was now the primary just so that they could screw with people who are game sharing.

You're 100% protected with credit cards. Notice bad transactions, report them, they're cleared and you move on. No fear. Id suggest not tying a debit card cause that will ping actual funds but do credit cards like crazy.
Problem with that is that the moment you report and there is a charge back on that account Playstation will automatically ban you and you will lose every digital content on that account as well as the PS+ sub you have on it. I suppose you can attempt to dispute it with Sony but I'd rather not chance it.

Have you changed your password already? That should prevent the perp from being able to log in to your PSN account, so the only thing they'll be able to do is continue playing any games they've already downloaded.

You should still be able to play any/all of your games as long as you're logged in to your PSN account on your PS4, even though it's no longer the primary PS4 on your account.

Come Monday call Sony and explain the situation. They should be willing to deactivate all of the devices on your account.

Yup, same problem here. My daughter likes terraria, we can't play coop nor can can she play any of the games I bought because the system puts locks on all the games for any other local system users on the dashboard when it's not activated as the primary console.

Did you have that double security thing activated?

Friend of mine got his account hijacked and that person used the deactivate all option so it became unusable for 6 months. My friend tried calling Sony twice and both times they refused to deactivate all accounts and told him to wait 6 months. It's only been about 1-2 months since then and he still doesn't have his account back.

i think i am going to deactivate all my accounts every 6 months just so it cant be exploited like this, pretty ridiculous how sony handles this crap, though from what i heard with all the fifa hacking, microsoft is pretty much not any help either.

I may end up doing the same just to be safe. Not a bad idea.

What do peeps think of doom
It's really good. If you played this gen's Wolfenstein games it's basically that but faster with sci-fi horrorish theme but less story focus. Really loved how you can upgrade weapons and unlock sort of perks so that you can really customize your play style. I was a walking siege weapon at the end of the game which was a blast.

It is a good idea actually. Except if your PS4 fails, you won't be able to deactivate it as primary via PS4 or account management then.

Any Battlefield 1 impressions? I think this is the first year I don't buy cod so I'm interested in Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2. I like Titanfall but usually prefer large people battles over small.

The single player is very well done. Best campaign to date in s battlefield. Game looks amazing.

Multiplayer is very well done too. If you've never played a BF game before it us different than cod. Teamwork is highly recommended In the modes other than death match. The maps are pretty large. Personally I prefer the BF mp experience.

Can I just say, I'm really annoyed at "rest mode" and at Sony's website, which seems to conspire against me.

Yesterday, I had a hair up my rear to play Elder Scrolls On-line, and it's a massive download. I had just rage quit DQ Builders on the second boss. I was out all day and thought, "I will get on my phone, queue up TESO, and tomorrow morning I can play it."

So, I got on the website. For some reason I had to log back in. I got the text message with the code, logged back in. I queued up TESO to download, or so I thought.

This morning I turn on my PS4, and it's nowhere to be found. In the past, stuff I'd queued up and expected to download has popped up when I turn my PS4 on, and THEN it starts downloading. That's annoying already. But in this case, it was like the message to download it sank in the ocean. So, I queued it up manually, and it presently says it has 71 hours to go (this is despite being plugged directly into my router and having fast internet).

Then I get on the website to where it should have been queued, and it says, "already downloading" in red, like it just now, finally, sent the message and got a reply that it was already downloading.

I wish Sony could just get their crap to work. I don't understand what the deal is. You have to babysit every little function. Guess that's life. It's still vastly improved over the mess that was PSN on PS3.

This happened to me, and I'm here to tell anyone reading, DO NOT EVER DO THAT. When Gawker got hacked back in the day, they got my e-mail/password combo from there, because I used the same e-mail/password combo for everything. (Now I don't, and I use two-step where ever I can.) So, they used that to log into my PSN, added like 9 PSPs to my account, and took maybe $50 from my credit card. I guess either my credit card company called BS on it, or I noticed it somehow and did. (This is back before digital was a big deal, so I might have looked at my card and been like, "Huh?? I didn't buy anything on PSN!")

Anyway, whether it was me or my CC company, the charge was disputed. Sony immediately locked me out of my account. I e-mailed back and forth with them but did not want to get on the phone with them. Again, this is before digital was a big deal. I had quite a lot of stuff on there for the time but not enough to get me on the horn. I figured I'd sort it out eventually, as I did want my stuff back.

Eventually I got a Vita, and I had started wanting to do digital on PS3. There were more and more sales. So, annoyedly, I finally called Sony. This is when they told me that any time a charge is disputed, they block the account permanently. They said there was nothing they could do. Then, they went on to LAUGH AT ME and BLAME ME and say I must have given my password out to friends! This went on and on. They said, if it was really due to the Gawker hack, why did I wait so long to resolve it? Because they are a bunch of assholes I didn't want to sit on the phone with, that's why.

I filed a claim with the BBB. that got Sony's attention fast. Someone from Sony ( a higher up) called me and said they would just take my remaining wallet balance ($20) and we could call it even. I just wanted it over and done with, so I said fine, do it. So basically they got free money from me after all my trouble, and I got back into my account. He gave me his number and said to call him personally if I ever had trouble again.

But still, the whole thing was absolutely ridiculous, and they should be ashamed of themselves. I'm probably one of PSN's best customers.

Anyway, for a long time after that, I just bought PSN cards rather than using my Paypal or CC on PSN, but it is a pain in the ass... So my CC is back on my PSN. I use a ridiculous password, change it frequently, have two-step turned on, and whatever else, and use different passwords for everything now, so at least it would not be as easy for me to get hacked now.

PSN was wonky from the very first transaction I tried last month. It was easier to buy a digital psn card from amazon and load it immediately on my account than to try and get paypal or a cc working. That will be my only method from here on out (or physical psn cards)

I like it, I can recommend 40 player battles because 64 is an absolute mess, unless you play conquest I suppose. I feel as operations is an absolute blast to play, the zeppelins are crazy

Not sure if this has been posted yet, or if I'm just late to the game, but episode 1 of Minecraft story mode is currently free on all platforms.

I feel bad you're having so much trouble when mine works flawlessly every time. Im not trying to insult your intelligence, but did you check your rest mode settings? Specifically keep connected to the internet checkbox? Do you leave a game suspended?

Maybe it could be how your phone is connected to the internet while you're away from home? I work at a hospital with such terribly slow public wifi I end up using my cellular data if I want to remote install PSN games.

Basically I'm just guessing what could be wrong, or it could be like you said, Sony just hates you and is conspiring against you.

his system is rigged

50 bucks left to hit 100 with a week left and the flash sale already passed

don't let me down spooky sales
Same here, as I said Blood Borne, Dead Space 2, and Dead Space Extraction I am hoping for!

Ugh, having a weird thing..

The cord I've been using for my PS4 controller is keeping it charged, but not charging it.

10ft USB A to USB Micro http://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=13920

It would charge fine, then I used my controller on a friend's system, and now.. while it's plugged in it works but doesn't charge.
