I was able to snag 2 of each copy this morning so I can keep one and give the other to a friend, then tonight I bought the 3 soundtracks. I was wondering what type of shipping do they use? I would assume Priority Mail but I couldn't find it on the FAQ. I've been having problems with USPS jamming boxes into the mailbox (Don't buy the bigger mailboxes at Lowe's) and now they never deliver to the door after numerous attempts asking them not to. On both orders I bought a shipping box but now I'm thinking that might not be enough due to an Amazon order that arrived damaged today.

I beat Shadow Complex recently, it was awesome. First time I ever played it. Haven't been interested in most of LRG's stuff, but that was great and I also look forward to Rainbow Moon.

Our standard price is the digital price plus $10 (to account for the cost of goods and still make the dev what they would have made digitally). Accounting for that, Skullgirls would have been $34.99 with no extras. You're getting a soundtrack, slipcover, and beefy full-color booklet for just $5 more.

Heads up, there will also be a dual-platform bundle. Both games, one soundtrack, one booklet, for $74.99 (a savings of $5).
Two games but one booklet? Are you referring to the instruction manual or is there another booklet?

Each soundtrack is actually in an individual cardboard cartridge, so there's no need to get a shipping box for those. They ship those well protected.
Shoot. Well it was only 5 dollars so I don't feel too bad I guess.

Don't know if I'm going to go for the dual-platform or separate bundles for Skullgirls.  Granted any savings is great since I plan on getting both platforms.  But only a $5 difference I might just go separate so I have 2 booklets & soundtracks. :D

I'm just happy with that version because it'll have a slipcover. :D
Hell, I'm just happy to get a physical game, where there was none. Well technically this did have a physical version, but it had to be imported, so you get my point. Honestly, I find LRG to be way cheap in the grand scheme of things. Of course most of these games have been cheaper digital only titles, but I've always been willing to pay more for something that I actually "own", and in that regard, these games are priceless to me personally.

SC was an excellent title, and one of the better games I've played in the last 10 years. I was going to get the LRG release, but that day, certain titles where up on the site, while others weren't, and while I wanted SC, I don't have a PS4, and I'm not getting one soon, so I just opted to get the other title I was most interested in so I didn't miss out.

Are the Skullgirls PS4 and Vita releases going to have the small, grey LRG numbered band on the spine? (Are they going part of the numbered series of LRG releases?)

Forgot the game was $25 in store to be honest since most games you guys release are $15ish. Fair enough.

Do you guys know if your Volume release has a stacking trophy list? Don't know how much you would know about it, just curious as a trophy hunter

If I have to make a guess, I would say no since their last game (thomas was alone) didn't have stackable trophy

To those of you who've played shantae, does it matter which one I play first?
There is a continuing story line between the games. You likely won't be able to play the first game so you'll miss out on the introductions. I'd recommend at least looking over the plot on Wikipedia. Otherwise go in order.

It's nothing deep, but you'll be lost with the overarching plot if you don't play them in order.

According to Exophase, it seems to be a new stackable set. The dev (JAW) did the trophy service set up, so they may have done this on their end.

The original Shantae did get a digital release. I think you can only play it on the 3DS, but even if you don't have a 3DS, buying a 3DS + buying the game on eShop is a lot cheaper than a poor condition cart.

The original game does show it's age but it's still pretty amazing to see the graphics and realize it's a GB Color game. Gameplay is fairly decent still, IMO.

So the skullgirl pre-orders are being held open regardless? They don't have a preexisting allotment and the games will be produced based on the pre-orders?

Not sure if this question was answered yet about Skullgirls. So the instruction manual will not be sealed in with the game? Or is this a completely different booklet then the previously mentioned full color instruction manual?

The instruction manual will be sealed with the game. Has there ever been a release with an instruction manual not inside the case?

There is no other booklet. You're just going to get a big full color instruction manual, like what Shovel Knight got.

Sounds like they are not? Otherwise there won't be a discount with the bundle.

Instruction manual will be sealed in the case for PS4 but loose for Vita. It's weird but since it is going to be a thick manual and packed with text there wasn't an elegant way to translate it to the Vita booklet's smaller form factor. Sony has a page cap on manuals and this would likely exceed it if readability was to be maintained in a smaller sized booklet.

I believe Lab Zero has said that they're still investigating a proper Vita sized booklet, but the current plan is a platform agnostic booklet that can work with both releases.

Actually, the info on the page is conflicting about combined shipping costs, let me see if I can get a clear answer. ~_~

I'm surprised with the prices on ebay.
Mm, I'm not. A cartridge only copy of Shantae on the Game Boy Color can sell for over $250+, and there a heck of a lot more copies of that Shantae game than there are of these two Shantae games. This is only the start, regardless of the fact that they're on the Ps4 rather than a Nintendo console, they'll both still probably end up being way more expensive than Breach & Clear, later down the road.

WTF... that's nuts. I was just gonna say pick up copies on eBay, they're probably not that high but wow, that's insane.

I'm surprised they sold out as quick as they did but I didn't think the eBay prices would be that high already. Someone has both games for $100... might not be a bad price seeing as individual copies are going for as much as $70. A few copies even sold for $150+... insane.

Anyone know when these ship? Not sure if that's been mentioned yet. I had a scare with one of my LRG games, don't wanna take any chances here.

So it looks like they will do combined shipping for Skullgirls if you buy it at the same time Volume comes out on Friday.

The downside is that it will not ship until Skullgirls comes out, so that will be quite awhile.

Those prices for Shantae will drop in a few weeks once everyone's copies arrive and more and more copies go up. This is nothing surprising really, as it happens normally for quick sale out games, but once the surplus of copies hit, the prices will level out probably around $45-55 per game.

So they changed their name to Pre-Ordered Run Games for this week?
Nothing limited about unlimited preorders.
Swing....infield single
It's is limited, to the amount of pre orders orders they get on it. Sorry but you whiffed this time trying to hit a home run on the snarky, savvy and witty slow ball.

And if you want to get real technical every game is limited since it's taken out of production at some point. Even digital games will be gone some day.

Yeah when we finally get that polar shift,

Swing.........foul ball

It's one shipping charge but nothing ships until everything is ready. If you buy Volume and Skullgirls together, you'll be waiting until January/February to receive Volume.
