I bought all three (four if you include the Modern Warfare remaster) because I am crazy. But I think they all offer different experiences. I love BF1 because matches are big long, 30 minute epic battles. I love TF2 because they are quick and the action is near break-neck the entire time. And I am getting CoD because... Jon Snow plus MW remaster... stupid I know, I just always buy CoD each year. I do enjoy the single player in them, too. Yes, even Ghosts.

Saw that shit, but then watched the pack opening on YT and was like ehh. Wasn't feeling most of the stuff in there. If it was $10, I would have bought it just because but at $20, no thanks.

BTW, when I saw the two new maps yesterday night, I got so freaking happy. They brought two of my favorite Gears3 maps over, I was genuinely surprised.

It sucks amazingly bad. I was looking forward to it, too - was going to play with my sons, figured it was a light cartoony/funny Diablo clone that would hold some simple fun. It does not. It is overly hard, performance is terrible and the music just cuts out at weird places. Your swings have no impact on things, it just passes through them and does some damage. Bigger guys are pretty much run up swing, run/jump away and hope their slow swing doesn't connect. Every so often the Threat meter goes up a notch and it throws a bunch of bad guys at you all at once that is way more than you usually face. Environmental damage (spikes, blades) hitboxes are stupidly large. Sometimes you throw things at big guys instead of fighting them directly - that is the extent of "mixing it up". The "Bro" dialog is just dumb, and that comes from a guy that actually enjoyed that stuff in Broforce - it doesn't play it just for laughs, because it isn't funny at all. I'm un-installing it.

I can see why they went with a Day 1 Games for Gold, because it was a sound concept, but the end result was crash and burn. I guess they figured they would makes some cash from all the downloads because it is "free". Word of mouth would have killed any potential sales.

I already bought GOW4, BF1 and TF2 and have COD IW+4R preordered, all on disc because they were much cheaper.

Traded in GOW4 because as good as it is, I suck at TPS and didn't like the campaign. Going to keep BF1 because of the italian Operations mission and currently loving TF2 campaign. COD4R is where I'll spend most of my time though, I still used to play it some time until I sold my 360

The beta didn't help either. I think they also alienated a lot of the original fans, like myself. Seeing what they removed and changed from the first game was disappointing. Things that worked well didn't need to be changed. Titanfall is one of those games where they should've just added a campaign and done a facelift (better graphics, more maps, more weapons, more gadgets, etc.), while keeping gameplay and everything else the same. It was one game where more innovation was not needed.

All that, plus releasing close to Black Friday didn't help. I'm not buying anything at retail this close to Thanksgiving.

I am not sure actually. It is completely possible it is only Europe.

Edit: I should have read closer. The sales numbers are base solely off UK sales charts so there is still a chance it sold better here in the US.

It's not, but it's definitely worth it. Hard choice between Doom and Titanfall 2 for best singleplayer FPS this year. Doom is longer but felt rushed, TF2 is shorter but it's hard to find a weak spot.

Let's see how COD IW campaign is, but I don't have high hopes.

TF2's campaign is better IMO for sheer variety and inventiveness for me.
The gigantic factory with platforms was amazing as well as the time travel puzzle elements.

And I'm not even finished yet.

If you're even a little on the fence as to the spoiler tag being necessary, use it.

If you're not sure how to mark something with the spoiler tag, then just don't post the comment at all.  The world really doesn't lose much in not hearing your opinion and you can utterly destroy a game's narrative heft for those few that do.

If you're even a little on the fence as to the spoiler tag being necessary, use it.
If you're not sure how to mark something with the spoiler tag, then just don't post the comment at all. The world really doesn't lose much in not hearing your opinion and you can utterly destroy a game's narrative heft for those few that do.

Dude. I didn't spoil any "narrative heft". Just mentioned a game mechanic and even then didn't really go into any detail.

But I will be more careful in the future.

Narrative heft? omg people that complain about spoilers are the biggest asshats. Neegan kills the same character he does in the comics. Mario rescues the princess. Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker AND Leia Organa's father, ya they're even twins! Floss prevents gingivitis. No matter who "wins" any bachelor/bachelorette game show, they will be broken up within 3 months. The new Ghostbusters save NY, and Slimer has a girlfriend or twin sister or just a female slimer he drives around with I don't know. All bad things are bad. Sterling Archer, and not his cyborg double, gets shot in the chest and left floating face down in a pool. Superman dies at the end of Batman v Superman, but it's not Batman that kills him. Puppies grow up to be dogs. Everyone dies by the end of the Hateful Eight and all the shady dudes are indeed criminals. Nemo reunites with his father because Australians apparently dump raw sewage in the ocean. In the Sixth Sense, that guy in the red sweater and toupe, that's Bruce Willis the whole time!

Spoiler tags are just gamerthings. You had a great time with the story? Give the same experience to another gamer by letting them discover it themselves.

Holy S***! I didn't know that. I don't give a crap about DC Comics or their movies, but this raised my eyebrows in disbelief. Kinda interested now. This attempt to get people upset with spoilers just backfired...I might watch that movie.
