Just buy Titanfall 2, it's more fun than CoD. I finished the campaign this morning, it was fantastic! I wanna go back through on a harder setting now to make those boss battles tougher.

Log out and try to buy again. There's some bad handshaking going on between the MS sites, where it will still show you as logged in, but there must be a stale cookie that isn't properly checked and you get an IIS error code.

Only the "licence" for COD4 is on the disc, the actual game needs to be completely downloaded and it's 46,38GB. COD IW is completely on disc but requires a 5.86GB patch to play online (campaign offline should be fine if you avoid that though).

I was hoping that both campaigns would be on disc and multiplayer as a patch but apparently you can start playing COD4 before the download is completed (I don't know because I started the patching too late and will take a lot for me anyway)

 
There was an ebay link a week back with Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness from Hong Kong. Just got my copy and it works great, thanks to whoever mentioned it.

 
I played Infinite Warfare this morning.... I went in with the lowest expectations and I was still disappointed. 85 on Metacritic currently.... Wtf?

Edit: I was one of the few that actually really enjoyed Black Ops 3 as much as it pains me to admit it. I don't hate CoD by any means but this is painful.

I'll admit I didn't try the campaign so if you're in it for that, from what I heard it's pretty decent so it might be worth a try. The multi-player though, it feels like a bad Black Ops 3 to me. Take the worst parts of Black Ops 3 and Advanced Warfare and that's what the multi-player feels like to me.

The worst parts of both AW and BO3 for me were that they were CoD. A game of "who had their back turned". I actually can't think of any other weak points in those games besides the stupid neon camo and microtransactions. I have fun with the games occasionally and the jetpack maneuvers help me stay alive a little longer, so I'm hoping my first experience I have with IW when I have time to actually launch it will be better than my attempts at playing CoD4 last night. 2 kills 12 deaths every match and having to resort to camping in a corner to stay alive is not a good time.

If you have Windows 10, I know for sure the Xbox App lets you test codes as that's what I usually use. I believe the website does as well though someone else should confirm that.

I sort of disagree... I thought BO3 MP was the strongest since BO2. I even half enjoyed AW MP. IW MP is on par with Ghosts for worst CoD MP ever. It's horrible.

The bad parts of BO3, I enjoyed Black Ops 3 but it had problems and they all rear their ugly head in IW.
 
BO3 made me want to puke and I bought the digital edition with the season pass. Never again a 3arc game on dayone. Picked up AW later for cheap and was bad aswell but atleast I didn't waste as much money

I was a dummy and had CoD IW in my gamefly queue thinking I'd be able to play Modern Warfare Remastered. Realized my mistake when I saw IW was shipped out *facepalm* Guess I'll give the single player a whirl tomorrow. Screw multiplayer, Gears is where its at

I may get or rent Infinite Warfare for the campaign someday since that seems to be getting some praise.

But the multiplayer in the beta was horrible IMO and sounds like it still sucks in the retail release.

Titanfall 2 has top honors for shooters this year in both the campaign and multiplayer. Doom would be my second choice for campaign. Battlefield 1 my second choice for multiplayer (campaign is good too but having way more fun with TF2 and Doom).

Gears is good but third overall for me, which is saying a lot for TF2's campaign especially.

Need some input from anyone who got in on the cheap Polk Melee headset and adapter sent to work with the X1.  I'm busting them out for the first time, and I'm noticing that the big block they send with it that plugs into the console isn't even used.  I just hook the boom mic they sent into my controller and the headset, and it works.  Am I skipping something?  I'd love to be able to use this with the audio controls.  I traded in the adapter they sent because I have a 3.5mm jack on my controllers.  I think I may have screwed myself there

Unrelated to my burning jealousy, is it possible to redeem an Xbox One game code on the Xbox 360? I've tried but I keep getting an invalid code error and was wondering if it was because I was trying to redeem it on the Xbox 360. I know there's no way the code can be incorrect.

You definitely screwed yourself in terms of having controls for your mic and everything. But yeah just plug it in to the controller. I use the headset and mic nightly, and from my experiences you need to have the mic very close to your mouth for people to hear you well. I can't recommend it enough for the price.
 
Heads up: XBL Rewards survey this month is all about pre-orders. Lol it made me laugh (pre-order to play it on release day, lol not when you do shipping or have to wait in a download queue). Warning, they ask how many games you've bought in 12 months...

 
Quick question about external drives. I just got one and it's the first time I've ever used one for anything. I moved a ton of games onto it and left it in sleep/instant on mode. When I got home the little light on the drive was still blinking but everything had finished copying. Is that a big deal or normal? I have my settings to turn storage off when the system is off but does instant on mode override that since the system isn't truly off?

mine always blinks and stays warm

afaik only unplugging will fully stop it

 
Random question, did anyone get their $10 Rewards certificate for pre-ordering Gears from Best Buy?

I haven't pre-ordered a game in years and don't know how long these things usually take :\ I should also be getting one for TF2

Unrelated to my burning jealousy, is it possible to redeem an Xbox One game code on the Xbox 360? I've tried but I keep getting an invalid code error and was wondering if it was because I was trying to redeem it on the Xbox 360. I know there's no way the code can be incorrect.
