How many times did you guys use the extra 5$ coupon? I almost felt bad having them split up trades into multiple transactions. I did let people behind me in line go first if it was only one employee on register.
I had a picture on the phone and the lady almost didnt approve it. she said that they need the actual card and that they need to take it once the trade-in is done. she was nice about it and gave me an actual coupon.

Started with a Forza Edition Xbox One and $30 worth of some random accessories and games.

Final Haul:
White Xbox One S 1TB system (Gears of War)
2x NES Classic Systems
$220 Trade Credit

I just asked if I could use a single $5 bonus once on every trip. Splitting up a transaction is pushing it a bit too far in my opinion

Would also like to add that that damned $5 coupon was a bitch to use. First store I went to I asked about it and they scanned one for me and then gave me one. Every store after that I asked for one after I used one to use at the next store. At about 4 stores I had problems ranging from them refusing to scan it no matter what because the "knew it wouldn't work" and others refusing to take it because it wasn't stamped with their store's information. Wtf?

They are supposed to have the SL sign it and date it and put the store name on it.

YMMV on them actually doing that.

WOW nice that employee is kickass for letting you reuse it like that. I don't think many would.
Employees at 2 of my stores are pretty cool and know me well. I'd estimate I used it 20-25 times the past 2 days across 3 accounts. I had quite a few actual coupons on me but they just scanned their own. My last stop I had 12 games and I only used it 6 times.

I was told today that my gamestop doesn't accept them.

Was that bitch stupid or is this the truth?
I traded in 6 Gamecube games earlier tonight...the store gave me a list of 114 games that they would accept and I had about 10. I kept all the Mario themed games. The 50% bonus applied. I accidently traded in Starfox Adventures for $6.40 total when Amazon is offering $8.80.

I just love how all the seasonal hipster dipwads are at all the Gamestops around me now with their 7th grade face pubes they call beards, horn rim glasses, and awful piercings. I make polite conversation because video games are one of my primary hobbies but damn they are annoying.

"Oh man, FFVIII is a classic, can't believe you are trading it in!"

Well, I've beaten it three times so not much of a point in keeping it.

"Yeah man, I never made it all the way through but it's a classic! Tidus man!"

I paused for a good 5 seconds...yeah, good thing I'm not trading in FFX then?

Went right over his head as he kept mentioning random characters not in FFVIII. It's probably best these trade promotions are fairly short lived because I'd brain one of them before long.

Today's haul:

- XB1 Master Chief Controller

- White Dualshock 4

- Senran Kagura Estival Versus (PS4)

- Akiba's Trip (PS4)

- Tales of Zestiria (PS4)

- $102.56 Trade Credit

Flipped Pokémon X, Y, Omega Ruby, Heartgold, Soulsilver, and Platinum. Also flipped BF1, FH3, and XV2 on XB1. Took in my Smash blue 3DSXL and Halo 5 1 TB XB1, plus the Master Chief controller (only took that Chief controller in because I found out months later that they sold me one with a bad mic port). Thought about taking the Wii U, but the piss-poor controller TiVs (I have the Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi ones) and having to retrieve the system from my sister's turned out to be a big deterrent. I probably would have gotten about $200-250 more in credit, but figured the Wii U's a nice family system to have on a rare occasion. Hasn't been touched in months, though.

I did the same with a handful of Gamecube games. They were still scratched to sh!t and in the gamestop sleeves I bought them in when they were clearancing them out for 75% off (+10% "Edge membership bonus") several years ago. Being a videogame hoarder pays off again. :D/

These were all duplicates that I "upgraded" when I found them in better condition at other gamestops many years ago. I kept all of the Mario ones as well even though they are extra copies.

Considering that you got two NES classics before Thanksgiving I'd say you got the W regardless of your missed trade credit opportunities.

Part of me wondered if there would be a big ban wave after this free for all but having worked retail loss prevention and catching resellers and exploiters at a corporate level, the truth is it's much easier to find them on a small scale then during a busy shopping season and when there are high volumes of business in general.

I have a theory, but I have no idea if it's valid or not. You may have some insight. Would buying lots and lots of cheap b2g1 games throw off the loss prevention employees? I always think that looks good if there's a whole bunch of game purchases mixed in there with 4 trades of each platform of Dragonball Xenoverse, TMNT Mutants in Manhattan, Transformers Devastation, etc.

I just wanted to post that I had the best experience at GameStop that I've had in years last night. I was able to get my $5 in trade credit back from not picking up Pokemon Moon, put that toward a $10 PSN card, and bought three complete $4.99 games during the buy 2, get 1 free sale. I bought SimCity Creator for Wii, Kinect Disneyland for 360, and Eat Lead for PS3. Best of all, the associate didn't ask me about preordering anything or adding one of those stupid protection plans. It was awesome!

Got about 2k worth of credit flipping 40xbox controllers, 10 ps4 controllers, S2 wii u games, and boomeranging 2 3ds.

I bought 3 iPhone 6s plus (to resell for cash) and a bunch of 3ds games. Maybe I'll put a down payment on a Motorcycle or something or pay off a credit card.

I traded in a bunch of stuff yesterday and purchased the 500gb blue Xbox one s for $300. Does anybody know if I can do a return and rebuy tomorrow for the black Friday price of $250?

what are the chances of the ps4 TIV value going up? I scored one for $70 off CL last night but I wasn't able to trade it in cause of the time :/

Even if it goes back up I'm pretty sure it wouldn't go past $150.

Past 2 days with 50% and $5 bump (without saving the trade estimate) ~$192 was the highest and I don't see it being that high again.

Racked up 50,000 PUR points yesterday.... You guys said there are usually cyber Monday certificate deals right?
not sure when it was but it was

25 off USED for 10,000 pts

15 off used for 8.000 pts

i remember cause i had 3 of each i was not able to use cause it said 1/14/16 on the page but the coupons expired on 12/31/15

During my flips I temporarily had Infinite Warfare Deluxe Edition (whatever it's called).  It still had the insert codes for MW4 and the maps in it.  Just tried redeeming them and they worked!!!   Now I just need Infinite Warfare again...

Just a little dissapointed I used up 100k points two months ago. BUT it got all the associates from yelling about how excited they were about all my points. lol still have about 100k left

Don't you hate it when you just done a trade and the gamestop associate prints out your receipt and announces to the world how much trade credit you have?    Yes, I have over $700, none of damn business.  :shame:

I had 1000 points yesterday and 2 stores both announced it to the world haha. The one thing they kept yelling at almost every store was "omg you've saved $2000 with your card!" Then they proceed to use my saving as a selling point to others in the store.

Maybe they want the other people in the store to beat you up and rob you when you leave.

Any good flips to turn my new $211 in GS credit to more at another store? The B2G1 is still going on.

Second to last store I went to yesterday the guy went to say the total to me then looked at it and just said "and you have quite a bit on your card" which I appreciated.

I ended up racking up around 22k points yesterday between two accounts.

Ugh fucking Nintendo, why did they have to make the black and white holiday N3DS systems hard to get? I just want a black one but I reeeally don't wanna have to go out at 5am to get it

Oh, GameStop, may you rot in the deepest bowels of hell one could imagine. Thanks for:

1. Not activating my fucking trade card, so I have $350 in unusable credit.

2. Not having anyone available to help customers while you run the biggest sale of the year.

3. Have limited-stock items available while having no customer service people working during the biggest sale of the year.

4. Canceling my order without telling me, instead just letting me find out by checking the order status and having "that doesn't exist" pop up.

Who the idiot dumbass runs that place?

All in all I traded away a bunch of Pokémon DS/3DS games I paid like $15 to $20 for in 2012 for $32 a piece. Better than putting the money away in a bank!

So I guess I'm saying, GameStop ain't all bad. For every horrible TIV I surrendered as a tween during the Babbages EB KB era, like giving away WarioWare Twisted for like $3 and now facing a $35 bill if I ever get the urge to play it again "C.I.B."... events like this at least make me feel like I'm breaking even.

If only GS.com sold more than just a few overpriced prebuilt PCs and mid range GFX cards, and tried to be more like newegg, I wouldn't constantly be wanting to flip all their credit to other stores that sell more/better shit.

(Alright, if only GS employees weren't so randomly incompetent, that'd help its image too!)

Im planning to get the cheapest gs802 or cyberpower, would you recommend it for its price and spec?
