Been playing a bit of Steep lately. I really like it a lot. The Alps are extremely well done. The game runs fantastically and is gorgeous, and there is a shitton of stuff to do. I also love the physics and sense of speed when screaming down a mountain.

I have two knocks on it, but they're minor and just take some getting used to. One is the UI is a bit crazy. The amount of stuff to do is almost overwhelming (plus you can just do your own thing which has its own style), but the way it has you "unlock" or find stuff can be a chore even if there is already a ton of stuff already open on the map. Its completely non-linear and is very much a sandbox in a lot of ways. The 2nd knock is that you're forced to be a "pro" in the game, you dont create your own character or anything like that other than a ton of customization options for whatever rider you choose to use.

I dont think everyone will enjoy it, but if you like this genre of game, you will. Got the Gold for a great price, so Im very happy with it.

They need to allow the player to hide the UI. Already can do it in replays, but not when you're riding. I really don't need to see all those flags (nor the randoms I bumped into half an hour ago who are now three miles away). They get even worse once you reach the higher levels, and they're especially jarring on the night/foggy regions.

But that's my only complaint. This is exactly what I have wanted in a winter sports game.

And you're correct, Steep isn't for everyone. It's more of a walking simulator than a spiritual sequel to SSX, Coolboarders, 1080, or any of those other "extreme" sports games.

73 to 74 USD or do you have a source I don't know about? (Also steam n or uplay?)
I got it for 53 pre-release (Steam) but dude's price is up to $63 now, usual suspects on SG, but you may want to look around to see if anyone is competitive. It uses uPlay too but no doubt a uPlay key is cheaper, dunno about Gold in the uPlay only variety.

I got nothing. Apparently I must have stolen Fizzy Lifting Drinks and touched the ceiling, thus requiring it to be cleaned. Either that or the ran out of crappy game keys.

Great news for Weiler in today's DbD patch notes!

Spectator in Kill Your Friends
Starting today, a sixth player is able to join in Kill Your Friends mode. This is the first step towards the competition mode we are working on. The sixth player is especially useful to show runners who want to host and stream a tournament. The spectator can see the game from the point of view of all 4 survivors as well as the killer.
Pure spectator mode!

Steamcrate.

Has this been discussed before?

Worth it, or a bit shit?
You can probably do better with GMG random keys and we all know how great those are. Why would anyone do it when "average crate value is $100+". Humble monthly is $100-150 in "value" for $12/mo.

Who is GamesDeals?

Are they Legit? Shady? Grey?
Grey but have been Known to drop into shady on occasion. I havent had issues with them. I grabbed quite a few good Console game deals from them over the Years. They had more then a few Items revoked from being stolen keys and such though also.

Well that's strange. I'm eating roast beef right now......

Anyway, assuming the schedule posted is correct (they reversed a couple days) don't forget to get Ass Creed 3 for FREE from Ubisoft tomorrow. 'Tomorrow' starts at 12 AM Pacific.

For anyone looking for a cheap GTX 970...

"4GB" 3.5GB GTX 970 SSC = $149 - $30 mail in rebate = $119:

You'll mostly great 1080p60FPS gaming & maybe some 1440p+4K gaming (at not as high settings + not-as-high framerates)....
I'm not a big SLI believer, but for this price, I'm thinking of getting a second one. Though I only have a 1080p monitor so maybe it's just a waste.

Thank you for a useful post for once.

I'd like to point out that my mom at least charges while Bah and Weiler's moms give it away for free. Not that anyone would pay.
I think you missed the point on this whole discussion. We are all surprised you mom is trying to charge for something we all get for free. Its not like the dump where she lives can charge rent, whats she need money for.
