LEGO Deals 3

All the huge ones are awesome, I have the big blue crawler crane and the front loader along with a ton of first generation ones built. But I think the race cars/exotic cars are probably the best bet, like the green 24 hour rally car, that Porsche, or even the non quite expert Ferrari. Waiting on a deal on the Porsche and Ferrari (I can dream), but I scored the green rally car for 70% off at Target earlier this year. I believe they were $38.98 each.
Amazon had the one i mentioned $40 off so i grabbed that. I'll probably wait for double points on crawler crane, because it looked cool also. I know you are wired into the target clearance and grab alot of deals that way, but my target doesnt carry the hard to find sets and are pretty shrewd on clearance. I'll keep my eyes open.

My son was flipping through a Lego Ninjago book from the library and there's a section that talks about Ninjago trading cards. Were these ever offered in blind packs? Or did they just come with the Ninjago sets from a few years ago? Trying to track some down for his Christmas stocking.

There were trading cards with some of the early spinning things sets. However there seems to be a new trading card set that isn't out in the USA.

My plan is to build my modulars and put them up there. I also have Lord Business and Benny posters but I'll have to put them on a different wall.

Toys R Us has 40% off of sets, some are actually 40% off.

http://www.toysrus.com/search/index.jsp?s=A-UnitRank&kw=120916lego100&keywords=120916lego100&origkw=120916lego100&sr=1&ppg=96

Things of note....

Sand Crawler $180 (OOS if you click on it)

Fairground Mixer is $90 (OOS)

Doctor Who is $39

TIE v A-Wing is $54

Changing Seasons Creator House is $30 (Same Target Black Friday)

Scooby Do Mansion is $57 (Great set)
This would work well with the $10 r rewards certificate I just got from doing an in store pick up order last month.

Thanks for the heads up

I picked up the creator changing seasons house and the scooby doo mansion. Pretty nice deals.

Free shipping on all purchases on TRU.com today. Good deal if you interested in the smaller sets

Fairgrounds mixer and Sandcrawler were great prices... was this posted on another site or did you just run into it?
It was on Toys n Bricks, but only 12 people viewed that. I'm assuming that either they never were in stock (And it's just to get rid of them instore) or that sleek deals posted it, but I never go there.

Really want that Scooby Doo Mansion, but already have Monster Fighters castle, making this one seem redundant.
Buy it anyways. I wish I had them both, I only have Scooby. It's the only set to get the lesbian in. I could have saved like $7 on that set, and nearly $30 on the Doctor Who (I got it from Christmas last year, my mom bought it in NYC for $66.). I'm amazed by just two years ago nothing wa son sale and now everything is, and when you think 38% off was the floor it gets even cheaper.

Also MF was a castle, the SD set is a mansion, completely different!

Man, there are definitely a lot more deals this year.  Did they actually overproduce?  I would have gotten that Mixer if it was still in stock.

I bought the SD mansion last year I think at full price at the Lego store.  I did get the free Gingerbread House though and some VIP points.  I managed to save up $100 in VIP points so far!

Velma is definitely the reason to get the mansion. Like the Doctor Who set as well but if I am choosing 1 the Scooby mansion seems like the better value

Why limit yourself to one? I think 10 years from now the DW set will be like the horrible BttF set and be worth a ton of money. The mini figures in the set are worth 4-5$ each besides the Angel that's $7, that's about $25 right there. Velma's price has lowered to $15 (Used to be $20).

But by them both!

Encendido5, don't forget the VIP points do expire, I think it's two years after you get them.

Damn, that's right, I forgot about that. I was thinking of spending them on either the VW bus or the beetle. Bus because it's probably retiring soon and the beetle because it's cool.

We got all the Scooby stuff for my younger son since it all had a 30% off discount at one time or another. There's some cartoon charm to it but it's a step down from the Haunted House for sure.

I'd love to get the Sandcralwer at that price. Do I have to call TRU for local stock? Can't find anything on the web for it.

I think this sale is very much like when LEGO Shop just sticks 100 items on 'clearance' that hasn't been in stock for months, just to tell stores it's on clearance.

How S@H and LEGO Brand Stores have the same prices, TRU doesn't so who knows.

Yep. Kinda bullshit if you ask me. Good stuff they list on sale is never S@H, no stores in your area have them, and havent had them in ages. I would have bought sandcrawler, volo loader, and crawler crane.

I don't think it's kinda at all, it is bullshit. Because when I posted the sandcralwer and mixer were still in stock... until you liked on it to add to the cart. That's click-bait to make it seem like 100 sets 40% off! When in reality it's like 60 sets 20-40% off.

Maybe thats my dormant optimistic side coming out thinking that someone out there can goto their store and pick up these at the price listed.

Op...tim...ist....ic...What's that? ;)

I don't think most TRU even carry the bigger sets. I had a guy come in once years ago on December 23rd complaining that the TRU I worked at didn't have the LEGO Death Star for his nephew. I want an uncle like that, besides the bitchiness. Because pretty much the NYC one is the only one that carried it.

Amazon is price matching the DW set.

I've seen Slave 1 and Tie Fighter at a few stores, I'm almost certain I've seen the sandcrawler too but can't honestly remember.

I'm curious now whether my TRU carries larger sets. Never gone there looking for them, but they have the biggest selection in town by far next to the Lego Store, and sometimes has more common things the Lego Store doesn't have room for.

That Scooby Doo Haunted Mansion is a great set - bought one for my daughter earlier this year and she loved it. Good build and pretty good value as a toy. She's kept it together to play with rather than stripping it for parts.

I haven't been in a TRU in 13 months, so I have no clue. However the Sandcrawler and Mixer aren't even listed for in store pick up. That's typical TRU bullshit right there.

I ordered the sd mansion for in store pick up with the assumption that my delayed online order will end up being cancelled. I have 5 days to pick it up . There is no way I am braving TRU on a holiday shopping weekend

Target has a Cartwheel discount for 20% off any Lego Heroes sets (Marvel or DC).  The usual YMMV getting Customer Service to scan it on top of a pricematch, however it does work automatically if they do.  Target.com and the Target app have the much maligned Mighty Micros for $6.99 each (except Flash vs. Captain Cold which is $8.79), and the app shows not only "Cartwheel" to indicate there is a Cartwheel promo associated with the item, but also will show that $6.99 price even if you select a specific store (as long as you turn off the app's auto location function, which when in store will always display the in store price not the online price).  Just remember that there is also an automatic limit of 4 items discounted per Cartwheel discount per transaction, so if you want all 6 you will have to do 2 separate transactions.  I got the 5 other sets outside of Flash/Captain Cold for $5.59 plus tax less redcard, which is not too bad IMHO since the nephews and my kids will love to smash them up.  Flash/CC was just a hair over $7.

They raised the price back up online on the Ghost Rider/Hobgoblin set to $15.99 and Harley Quinn to $19.99, but there are a few still decently discounted "heroes" sets that if/when pricematched coupled with the 20% off Cartwheel discount would make for a good deal: Crossbones Heist $14.99 before 20% off, Black Panther set $23.99 before 20% off, Rhino/Sandman $25.99 before 20% off (assuming you never found them on clearance for less, and that your Target actually has it in stock still), Spidey Bridge $78.99 before 20% off.  Batboat vs. Deathstroke $23.99 before 20% off, Green Lantern/Space Bats vs. Sinestro $15.99 before 20% off, Doc Ock $31.99 before 20% off.

Not sure if that Heroes discount works on the new DC Super Hero High or whatever it's called series, but not a bad way to get a discount on a new line either.

You know you can just ignore the Target costumer service and go to TRU for the Mighty Micros. I expect them to be 50% off on December 26th.

On Amazon right now:

Flash v Captain Cold is only $6.59

Robin v Bane is $6

Hulk v Ultron is $6

The other sets are third party sellers only.

Downside, they are classified as "Add on items" so $25 minimum order even for Prime members.

$3 per minifig, licensed ones at that, is damn solid.  Unfortunately I'm not into the DC/Marvel stuff.

Looks like double VIP points today and tomorrow. Anyone know if the calendar still comes with coupons or did they get rid of that too?

My kids have some of those and the minifigs are not quite legit - they have shorter legs that don't bend at the waist. I guess that makes it easier for them to sit in the vehicles, but they're not what you would get from a larger set. The torsos and heads look fine. I raised an eyebrow when I saw them but the kids didn't care.

You can buy the legs for 30 to 72 cents each.

Also the sale is from TRU 40% off sale.

The calendar is a coloring book by the sound of it and NO coupons because that's LEGO 2016. Hopefully their profits go down some and we get some more massive sales.

Or not because my wallet sucks.

This week's round up....

TRU is having BOGO40% off on Nexo, City, Friends, Duplo, Star Wars and still free shipping. Sadly the Nexo rock monster is back up to $25, I forgot to buy it when it was $15.

Shockingly Target has $10 off of $50 on the LEGO. Which is great because the prices aren't as low as last week, but some things (Like the Mighty Micros) are still 30% off.

And 25 off 100 on some sets.

Who was looking for Technic sets?

Comes out to $76 after coupon

Edit:
Airport terminal is $56 after coupon.

I just came back to add that!

It's pretty much works on any set that isn't $250. It does work on the new movie Batcave. So that's a great deal on a brand new set.

There are TWO Pet Shops left, it be $125 and even cheaper than Lego had it. (It's the only 'exclusive') it seems to work on.

Which Falcon would you be talking about? The one that would be $95 if it were in stock? ;)

Ghostbusters 2016 is FORTY ONE DOLLARS ;), even Wall-e who is dead on S@H, $50 here. I think I'm getting him for Christmas. (He wa son my list and my mother has gotten to the age she had to ask me which Wall-e is which. She almost bought the European one (box doesn't include piece count.) for slightly more than $60.

Ghostbusters 2016 is $1, even Wall-e who is dead on S@H. I think I'm getting him for Christmas. (He wa son my list and my mother has gotten to the age she had to ask me which Wall-e is which. [emoji38] She almost bought the European one (box doesn't include piece count.) for slightly more than $60.
Well yeah, but it should work in store. You almost have be a heart attack, lol. Ghostbusters at $41, not $1

I still have no idea what you are talking about with the Falcon. Is it still $96 in store?

Darn keyboard must be dirty. I have been having issues with missing letters all week. :) But yeah, Ghostbusters is 99.3% off this week. ;)

Hungover much? ;)
I checked as soon as you said it and it was $120. However Target changes it's prices all the time randomly.
Mine from AWD comes in the 20-21st. I'm more excited to build it then I am the Pet Shop.

I bought 5 Mighty Micros, GB 2016, Batman v Jesus, and a Friends Party Train (For the orange - yellow bike) for $76.64. (At a LEGO Store in MA that be $141.31.)

Ugh, started adding a bunch of stuff from that TRU sale last night but didn't check out; figured I'd come back in the morning.  Didn't realize it was a two day sale only, whoopsy.  Would have taken most if not all of the entire line of speed champions and a couple of other things, mainly the TRU exclusives like the Deep Sea Base, that were a pretty decent discount.  Oh well...

Thanks for the reminder on the Target sale.  I got Wall-E and one each of the 6 Mighty Micros for $81.11 (that includes $6.70 in tax).  Total pretax was $103.33.  Now to hunt for more stuff...

The UCS TIE Fighter appears to work with the promo...at least it's showing the $10 off $50 promo so I assume it will work to take $25 off the $173.99 price.  Shows low stock too, hmmm
