No that should have been OK to get Kindle books with. I meant the digital credit they used to give you when you chose no rush shipping or bought specific albums/movies/books.

Jumping back to the Bing/Microsoft Rewards chatter - when you have a balance of credit that doesn't expire and some that does expire, which gets used first when you buy a game? Or can you choose? Just wondering if I should redeem some points for Xbox bucks while it's discounted or just redeem later when I need it.

Tried it. Didn't work :bomb: Only option when finishing a level in Mission Select is 'Save & Exit', and there's no way to restart the current mission unless it's already been loaded and you select it from the pause menu.

 
I'm really tempted to get Witcher 3 because I've heard it's a "can't miss" game but RPGs aren't really my cup of tea.

That sucks. I looked a bit online and looks like the only people who have got their Doom corrupt saves to fix are on PC where they can mess with stuff.

I've tried to play all three witcher games. The third is the most accessible, but still far more demanding as far as reading your lore/bestiary entries, prepping your gear and magic loadouts, etc. there's some big moments in the first few hours that will either hook you or turn you off.

But if you don't like RPGs, you should determine what you don't like first. RPG is a wide genre now and what you dislike may be a very small (or big) part of this game.

I would recommend maybe watching some gameplay videos and such on YouTube to help you determine if it'd be something you'd be interested in trying. But chances are if RPG's aren't your thing at all, you won't get much enjoyment from it.

I'm playing it now and I reallllly love it, but I can see how it may rub some the wrong way, especially non RPG gamers.

150 pts a day for PC searches, and do it first thing every morning. 20-30 pts a day with the daily items on the page. Check your email every day for bonus pt. opportunities. Jump on every single double point search weekend. I get almost nothing from browsing with Edge, but do it some anyways. I don't do the mobile searches at all, but it would accelerate it.

I just click about half the random bonus stuff and do my normal searches both at home and work through bing and probably get $5 every month and a half if there isn't some special deal going on.

Just keep up with the searches daily. Takes me less then 5 minutes to do them each day. I just search "us news 1" "us news 2" 3, 4, etc up to 30 on desktop and then up to 20 on mobile. That isn't including the searches on the edge browser.

I still made about $95 in gift cards (if not a little more. This however included the 1,000 point $5 gift cards they had for a short time) and a 12 month XBL last year. I did miss out on $300+ worth of gift card money when the 1,000 point $5 gift cards had no limit, but I'm fine with what I got.

 
Quick tip, search Bing upcoming movies or games and just click through the boxes from left to right. Or you could be an adult and read the news stories it generates, psshh if you want.

Terrific post. I'm going to try an adopt this resolution for 2017. Of course, with the backlog of games I have now this won't be too difficult. Like many here, I was impressed with the quality of the sales over the holidays and have enough to chew on for a while.

I decided it was time to update my profile with an avatar etc. I follow the thread regularly but often don't have a lot to say. I chose Garrus Vakarian to represent me for now, as he also strikes me as the strong but silent type, strategic but loyal. The fact that I love the Mass Effect series doesn't hurt either, and Andromeda is the one game I will certainly be picking up at full price day 1 this year. My sniping and multiplayer shooting is nowhere as good as Garrus though.

My worst CAG purchase of the year was likely Gears of War 4 only because I picked it up at almost full retail and was surprised at the sales over Christmas. Could have saved a few pesos there. Far, far, better than my worst purchases of the last two years though:

2014: Telltale Games Collection for $55 (mostly unplayed)
2015: The Crew Complete Edition digital $20 (unplayed)

If I had actually played these games it wouldn't be so bad; same as the monthly GwG remorse. With that in mind I've almost finished up two older games in the past week:

Falling Skies: based on the tv show, it plays like XCom, and while it was panned badly I thought it was not too bad at all, though it did get quite repetitive towards the end.

South Park - Stick of Truth: had this in the backlog for years and am so glad to have finally played it. If you're a fan of the show I'd say it's a must-play; the humor and outrageous content is different than anything else out there!

Not sure what's next, either Doom or Rise of the Tomb Raider I think.

 
Modern Warfare Remastered is frustrating as shit on Veteran difficulty. Only got a few missions left but damn I had to rage quit several times last night on the mission One Shot, One Kill at the end where you have to defend your position.

Yuck. I 100%'d that on 360 years ago but you just reminded me that I'm going to have to do it again for the Remaster for my OCD. Here's to hoping WaW never gets remastered.

LOL... You're not even to the bonus airplane mission yet for the last achievement. I'm still a little pissed that I had 980/1000 on the 360 because I never could get past that damn mission.

I went to WaW on veteran when it hit BC as I never beat all the levels originally and fuck that game on veteran is impossible, I really dont think its possible to beat that tank level on veteran

What a pain in the ass that mission is. I spent a couple days trying to do it and just gave up. One shot, one kill was easy once I found a great strategy for it.

 
I don't know why but I'm really intrigued with Battleborn all of a sudden. I love the look of it and I know the humor and personality will be top notch. As a single player only gamer I'm assuming it's similar to how Borderlands handles SP. Can anyone share an HONEST opinion of it if I'm not comparing it to anything else? I know it got trashed but I feel that was only due to the whole Overwatch comparison and I care nothing about that since I don't do multi-player.

Heart of the Reich can suck a chode. Fortunately the game broke, I sat there for 20 minutes picking off enemies at a key tough point in the level and the game "forgot" to spawn more enemies, and I was able to walk right through. Strangely enough, the tank level I thought was one of the easier ones (I think that was right after Burn 'Em Out if I'm not mistaken, which was a horrific level also). You just have to take it really. Damn. Slow. And let your teammates do most of the killing, like every CoD game.

CoD2 was much harder than WaW I thought, but the difficulty came from excellent/tough level design and enemy spawn locations, rather than mapping B as the "receive grenade button" like they did with WaW. I felt much more victorious from finishing CoD2 than I did WaW.

And I 100'd all the campaign achievements in WaW for nothing, because I'm so horrible at zombies that a full 100% just isn't doable for me. I hate luck-based achievements, and that's all they are.

It depends on the game for me. I keep that mentality for nearly every Capcom game because their achievements are usually ridiculous. But if a game has single player achievements that seem possible without too much of a grind or a headache, I try to get them all.

I found the humor very borderlands-esque and I enjoyed the commentary and banter between the characters. I feel like the campaign is designed to be played in co-op though. While I played through about half of it by myself, some of the later levels are pretty to do alone and usually require other players. I wouldn't risk it unless you have at least one other person to co-op it with you as servers are pretty empty at this point.
 
Not sure if any of you does My Points (not worth it time wise if you are just starting) but they now have $5 ecards for 790 points for Target and Walmart.

Might have been there for awhile to be honest, I just noticed them. Anyways.."free" bucks for clicking on emails and surveys...or if you link from them buying stuff at major retailers.

Target at least allows you to buy Xbox cards with their giftcards..Not sure about wally world.
