Yeah, I can only do a few days with no internet. Long periods of no internet at home, very bad. Comcast destroyed a distro box in my area and was without for two weeks. I bit the bullet and just ate overages on my phone data plan.

For the 360 its a little different, you need to region migrate the account that has xbl gold on it to Japan to grab it but you can't switch your region back till after 3 months.

You won't get banned. The game is not a pricing error, its a legitimate discount for being an xbl gold member in Japan. In if you payed for the xbl gold then what are you in the wrong for?

The Oman Wars banning that people refer to had nothing to do with just switching your region. The Oman Wars banning was actually switching your account to one of those regions which didn't even have an Xbox Live Marketplace, exploiting cached search data and then taking advantage of an Integer overflow to effectively download content which should have cost, for free.


People on trueachievements switch there region all the time to get different region games for achievements do you see them banned?

You could also get a 1 month gold in put it on a silver account then region migrate it to japan but the cost of a 1 monnth is $10 which is equivalent to how much Ms. Splosion man cost.

Yeah i never get the Forza Horizon 2 stand alone pricing, i don't have my disc anymore and hopefully one day it will hit digital at like $15. Any time it's really cheap it's usually bundled with the sim Forza that I don't need.

An update to my boring saga - I come home and the downstairs console prompts me for the new update. I go upstairs and the new update is already installed.

Side note - does anyone have a One S hooked up to a 1080p TV? The upstairs console looks GORGEOUS, but I can't imagine why. Maybe the TV supports HDR, but I highly doubt that.

 
Jeez, I felt like aiming for two games a month completed was solid...

Did four games a month in 2015 but I ran in to that problem where I felt like I couldn't even attempt to play something with an online component or was longer form so most of my play time was spent on pretty mediocre games that were short.

Edit- Wow, I just realized I've already failed at that goal this year and didn't even make it out of the first month before failing to complete two games. Go me!

Played a lot of multiplayer in January. The only games I've completed were Helsing Deathtrap (on January 1st) and Resident Evil 7 (got all achievements). I had many more completed in January. February looks like another multiplayer month with new ESO content, getting back into Red Dead, and starting to get one level higher than absolute garbage in Rocket League.

I do and didn't notice much of a difference in how things look. I had the X1S and original X1 plugged in at the same time and switching between them I couldn't tell which one I was on other than the different gamertags signed in.

This, and reading on Kotaku, makes it sound like it has a Destiny-ish vibe to it. Although after the pre-order fiasco with Destiny, I'm never pre-ordering a game again, regardless of how much I love the developer.

I finished that game a couple days ago as well! I'm not even that big a South Park fan but this game had me laughing the whole time.

I am trying to get 5k gamer score a month, rather than the counting games I complete, barely squeaked by at 5765. How do people do this?

edit: also I am not using any guides, because I still want to enjoy the games.

I got 4220 this month which might be my most ever in a month. Felt pretty good til I saw kdiddy1989 put up 10250.
 
Picked up Rogue One table for Pinball FX2 with Microsoft Account five-r from doing searches, daily quizzes & emails. Was able to pick it up on 360 and then successfully on the One no issue with the import, which hasn't properly worked day one for most of Zen's tables. Double Win!

Still need to 1k Virginia(that gamerscore ending in a 4 is very annoying), so that might not qualify as knocking a game outta the backlog yet. February will have FH2 Fast & Furious removed from the log once I complete it and currently going through an Insanity run of Mass Effect 2.

Will give Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime a whirl tomorrow. Of note, if I play a game and I have had my fill of it forever *cough* Zheroes *cough*, I remove it from the backlog and delete it. One more game down in my book

I do the same thing...especially if it's a GWG or something I got for a couple bucks just to try out. Then again, I keep stuff in my backlog forever that I plan on getting more achievements on or doing another runthrough in, so yeah.
 
I used $5 for a month of Gold deal at the end of December. The expiration date said end of February (yay free month). Now the expiration date console says 9/21/2016. I still have Gold benefits. Website still shows end of February. I'm confused, but happy and kind of hope they just give me unlimited Gold for life accidentally. 

Looking forward to playing Lovers. Couldn't get into MI1, but I'll still give 2 a shot after beating 1 with a guide.
