yea. Im so excited for Horizon though, I said screw it. I picked up Battlefield 1, Mirrors Edge Catalyst and Horizon. Also bought a theme for $1.19 to put me over the $100 thresh hold. I was also able to buy two copies of Fifa 17 (one on each console) used for $19.99 each from best buy. Plus, the buy two, get one free sign was still up (didnt it end already?), so I also got Dark Souls 3 for free. Sold them all to game stop and got some psn credit.

Also enjoyed Guacamelee.

Severed is pretty fun and creates a cool world. I actually wanted it to go much longer. I got about 6 hours in and then got distracted by other games for a month. When I loaded it back up, it seemed like I was starting anew, so when there was only an hour that I had left, I was kinda disappointed.

But, I only paid $8 for it, and it's a pretty easy platinum to boot.

I think the NFS 2-pack for PS4 wouldn't be a bad purchase for a casual gamer like yourself. Since there's no real rush to beat them you can play them when you feel like it. Considering that the vanilla edition of each game goes for around $20 new and various prices used it's a steal.

As for NFS: Most Wanted for PS3 I think the base game is enough to play through for now. Maybe consider getting the DLC for it after you've played through it? I don't believe EA will package the base game and DLC for an ultimate/complete edition since it was released in 2012. Pure speculation on my part so take it with a grain of salt, hope this is helpful.

If you like arcade racers, I would go for the $1.99 Need for Speed even without all the DLC. It's rare that you see games that cheap on PSN. With that game and Fight Night Champion, I didn't think twice about buying them for that price. And I've bought many games that I paid way more for that turned out to be terrible.

Yeah, I say wait on Odin Sphere as well. The first playthrough is fun but it starts to get really repetitive when you realize you have to play basically the same game 4 more times with different characters to get the whole story.

I hopped back in to Battlefront about a month ago to play the Rogue One content they released in December. I never had any trouble finding a game at all, though I don't know if that was just because I was playing the newest content released along with everyone else, or if the rest of the game was as populated or not. Have a strange issue with Dirt Rally. It says it supports Remote Play but when I open it on my PSTV the game doesn't respond on the menu screen. Says press "Options" but it doesn't respond to any button on my Dualshock 4.

Does it not support Remote Play?

I thought so but I cannot get past the menu with Dirt Rally. Thought maybe it was the install but works fine directly on my PS4.

Casual (single player only) gamer that isn't much into racing

keeping that in mind would you recommend the 2 pack for ps4 of the need for speed games?

thinking of n4s most wanted for ps3 at the super cheap price would it be worth holding out for the ultimate edition? or is the base game enough? (I usually like having complete versions of games)

Personally I had more fun with Burnout Paradise than NFS: Most Wanted which is similar in gameplay (open world racer) and done by the same developer. The UE of Burnout Paradise has been on sale for $5-6 dollars several times. I don't know if it is because Paradise doesn't use licensed cars so they are able to be a little looser and have more fun. The DLC cars in Paradise are a bit more outlandish such as a hotrod that once you turn on boost, you can't turn it off or miniature, toy versions of cars which are great for stunts. There is also the back to the future car complete with hover mode and an entirely new island to explore with lots of crazy jumps.

I don't know how much of a trophy hunter you are, but the most time consuming aspect of the DLC trophies in NFS are in multiplayer. The DLC consists mainly of new licensed cars, though one packs adds an airport area with several jumps and room to get up to speed. The lowest price of the Most wanted UE bundle has been $12. The vita version of NFS: Most Wanted (which never received the DLC) has also been free for PS+ at some point so you might check to see if you already own it.

I had a more fun with the DLC of Burnout Paradise than the DLC of Most Wanted, If you aren't that much into racing, I would imagine vanilla NFS: Most Wanted would be more than enough for you.

Another vote for Burnout here. Bought NFS hoping it would be the same, but it's just not as much fun (less of an arcade feel and far less emphasis on taking out other racers with epic crashes). When are they going to get around to making a Burnout fr PS4?

Some of the original Burnout developers formed a new studio, but unfortunately they wasted a lot of time and effort making Dangerous Golf, instead of a spiritual successor to Burnout. They lost a lot of money because of that decision, I wouldn't be surprised if the new studio shuts down. A shame really, not sure what they were thinking when they opted to make DG instead of a Burnout style game.

Having said that, I'm looking forward to Flatout 4: Total Insanity, which is supposedly releasing next month. It looks like a great arcade style racing game in a similar style to the Burnout games:
