The original 3 games all had a film grain effect on default that you could turn off in options. I heard Andromeda has this too.

Left my Xbox downloading in sleep mode overnight and I guess my internet must have blinked out or something. only at 28.9 gigs downloaded. Hopefully I can play later today.

There's no way post release for the discs to have more than the first episode unless they print more discs with all episodes on it. My guess for the two episodes is you either didn't install them originally when you got the game (maybe they weren't released and they don't auto download) or they were patched.

Except Hitman come out well after the last episode, like a couple months later. I do think it's still doing the invisible season pass thing from all evidence but considering how they timed it I think many of us would have liked it to all be on disc (not that that means a damn thing these days).

Think you should be able to start playing with that amount dowloaded. I started playing when I was still around 50%.

I think I'm only going to play multplayer. I don't really want to play an hour or two of single player and then wait 5 days. I also usually take forever to make my character, which I think will still be the case with the limited options we have.

I guess I'll load it up to see if MP is what's playable, but it seems unlikely.

Got about 13GB of Mass Effect downloaded, was already late to bed but the "ready to start" message popped and I couldn't resist.

1. Multiplayer isn't available until the download completes. You can start the campaign and do your character customization.

2. The character customizer is ok BUT I feel like they kept the lightest skin tone reserved for Sara Ryder. I basically wanted to start with Sara and make small adjustments, but I can't get close in no small part due to skin tone, and I can't see a way to start with her and modify.

3. I started with default Sara Ryder because I do actually like how she looks. The game looks amazing - animations are not nearly as bad as some are making it out to be. I made it through the intro down to the first planet and killed a few dudes and then I was 2.5 hours late getting to bed.

I'm really excited to get back to it.

Almost like you could just buy the new game for all that!

I played all ME2 DLC and didn't regret it, but just couldn't justify buying all that ME3 DLC when I played it for the first time earlier this year, prepping for Andromeda. I had a good time without it.
 
So like those telltale disc games where you can install all episodes then return disc to gamestop (cuz fuckem,right?) Does this apply to hitman full experience/season?
 
The game did let me play multiplayer, I was around 68% at the time. Played about an hour so far of the mutilplayer. It feels a pretty good overall, though I play a quickly moving around Vanguard and it does feel a kind of sluggish sometimes when trying to aim look around quickly when trying to Biotic Charge. I'll have to try some of the other classes to see how they feel, but when I batten down the hatches and am firing from long range it does feel better.

As for the MP itself, it seems almost identical to ME3, but with less janky AI. I have to level up and try the harder difficulties to see if it still is a shitstorm. Haven't had any one hit kill bullshit like the Banshees so far though. There's also a limited time achievement for 0 points for playing during early access. First time I've seen one of those kinds of things in a while.

The sale on the DLC came too late. If it would have been a couple weeks ago I probably would have loaded up ME3 and played them, but now the game is out in 5 days.

 
I'm making my first purchases of the year on the two Mass Effect 2 DLC. I thought about the ME3 DLC but I won't actually get to that game by the time the DLC is on sale again, where I plan to get to ME2 by the end of the year.

I just assumed it came out at the same time as the first episode and we all know what assuming does. It's pretty dumb of them to not have all the episodes on disc in that case. Pretty unfair since some people have data caps they need to be aware of. I was thinking maybe it would be a weird compatibility issue since they're doing a second season, right? But I don't see how that would be any different than dlc for any other game.

I may be mistaken, but I think the digital versions treat vanilla and super as two separate games, with all of the subsequent updates (AE, ultra, etc) coming to super only.

Either way, I'm still looking for it when I get home.

It does.

Original Street Fighter 4 has it's own ID and achievement list. Super Street fighter 4 all the to Ultra SF4 share the same achievement and DLC.

 
Poker smash, oh man that brings me back, will have to boot that one up for a nostalgia break, away from ME:A. I went with Scott Ryder, Hardcore and well I've died a few times but - like he'd say - eh I'm learning the ropes. lol

I went with Sara, also on hardcore and also died more times in the first mission than in my entire XB1 playthrough of the original trilogy. I'm not feeling the automatic cover (also an issue I have with GR Wildlands) but aside from that, game's solid so far. Today I'm finishing the mission on Habitat 7 and then straight to MP.

Judging by YouTube videos, it looks as chaotic as it was in ME3. So yeah, I'm in.

 
As I figured the SF IV BC situation is a mess, I know I bought one of them digitally in the past but apparently not the correct one. Oh well, I don't own a fighting pad/stick for the One so doesn't matter I guess. Thanks for effing that controller situation up also Mattrick. I do own Poker Smash, odd fun title.

I'm not good enough to beat really good people online, but good enough to beat everyone I know in real life. Been playing since SF2 on Genesis, but never dedicated enough time to learn all the nuances. Kinda cheesy but I play as Ryu. Pretty awesome that this went BC

yeah it's just unfortunate it's the vanilla version, not even the one they gave away in 2014 as Games w Gold. I'd figure the player pool on reg Street Fighter IV is pretty small at this point so maybe able to capitalize on some online wins....

 
Liking Andromeda better than some of the professional early impression stories I've read. But, as others mentioned, I hate the auto cover system.
 
Damn, almost got a free $5. Honestly I was going to use it for a weekly BC contest. Where if you guessed the first game listed by Maj Nelson, you won it. Oh well. I was excited for Street Fighter until I saw that it was 4. 4's announcers is dreadfully annoying. Way more than I am. Plus that art style is the opposite of what I want, which is Street Fighter II dammit!

I think the auto-cover is a million times better than the garbage that was in the original trilogy. Being combined with the super high jump has an interesting effect too. I don't like auto-cover in versus games, but when you're only fighting AI it doesn't usually suffer the same issues. I like Tomb Raider's handling of the mechanic too, for what it's worth.

Most games that use button for cover just feel bad to me. I haven't played much (or anything?) that has figured it out as well as Gears.

I know I should not let other opinions dictate how I feel about a game but it seems the internet is having a lot of hate for Mass Effect today.  I am going to play the trial now to see for myself but for those on here who have tried it already are you satisfied so far?  Honestly things like some wonky animations are not deal breakers but I am hoping the gameplay is fun.

Same. I already expected character animation to be weak given what they showed in the trailers. The other main complaint I've heard is that the story starts out slow, but I think that's to be expected as well. I'm looking forward to the game and am happy that BB added the steelbook for old preorders. Didn't want to make a new order and lose the $25 Visa checkout discount. Glad I didn't. :)

 
I'm about two hours into ME and I'm really enjoying it. I've had really high expectations for the game but have not watched a single trailer or preview (ME 1-3 were three of my favorite 360 games). Story definitely starts off slow and sets the groundwork for the rest of the game, but I was expecting that. So far I am not disappointed at all and feel the hate is pretty unwarranted

And I named I character Shepard Ryder. That's right

A data cap is exactly why I'm so pissed. It's bad enough I had to download these same two episodes when I had the disc, but to have to re-download when going digital? It's absurd. I'm really having to save my data for MLB The Show later this month. Here are some pics showing that I clearly already have them installed with new entries at the bottom...

Yeah it was a really big download and I went from expecting to play it that night to not being able to and not even starting it yet.
